Arrived here as part of a group tour. Unfortunately one lift was non-operational. the other lift therefore had to service 11 floors. It took 20 minutes to get our bags from the foyer to our room- no porterage available. Unfortunately in room 306 the a/c was not working. On phoning down they, creditably, sent an engineer in 5 minutes. he...

We were fortunate to get a room at the Sandman Hotel on Georgia. We booked a King room in the Corporate tower. The room was basic, clean with a very supportive bed. Our room faced the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. I had thought that the corporate rooms might have a small fridge and microwave but that wasn't the case. There was...

1 nt stay at the above, considering the rates of hotels in Vancouver it is very good value for money. The room itself was comfy but the shower room you can't possibly move and I am not big framed. The few staff I dealt with were very charming although under pressure.Hotel's location is a big plus as it is a couple of...

Stayed here during the Women's world cup and this hotel is a fantastic location, walking distance to the stadium as well as famous Robson street. Staff were nice, welcoming and friendly and took care of my shipment that I had sent here earlier. The room was spacious, in the corporate tower with a wonderful and comfortable bed. I definitely would...

We stayed here during the U2 concerts. It was quiet, we didn't here anybody on our floor. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows, however, they were doubles. The rooms are quite small. There is no dresser or drawers. The bathroom was the biggest problem, opening the door it would hit the curved shower curtain rod. You could...

There are no big negatives with this hotel. It's clean, the noise is at a minimum, the service is very nice. There aren't alot of hotels/motels in the immediate area that can say that. As a sports fan wanting to see the CFL's Lions and NHL's Canucks, the location is amazing (it's near major transit), and price is perfect considering...

We ended up at the Sandman Inn after leaving another downtown hotel due to noise. What a difference! Quiet, extremely comfortable, and right in the heart of where we needed to be. Everything you expect from the Sandman name and more at this gem, for a price that was actually less than I expected. Excellent staff as well. We'll absolutely...

My daughter and I attended the Women's World Cup final in Vancouver over the weekend, and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. We were a little nervous about this Sandman property after reading some of the recent reviews. However, our experience could not have been better. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. Our very...

Had four nights at the Sandman recently on the eleventh floor, air conditioning was rather noisy and not really adequate, room was fine but whole hotel in desperate need of refurb. At busy times there was quite a wait to access reception staff, but when you eventually managed to get to them they were very friendly and helpful. Fairly centrally...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
