This is the second time I've accidentally booked the "Fairmont" at 900 Georgia Street W, when I intended to book one of the other Fairmont properties in the nearby vicinity. I'm convinced it's made deliberately confusing in the hotel consolidator websites to sell rooms at this terrible place. In addition to the $40 parking and massive gridlock due to road...

Located perfect in city center. Helpful and attentive personnel. Luxury boutiques in the ground level. Nice restaurant with good wines. Rooms traditional somewhat old-fashioned. We got great help from the concierge with bookings. Newspapers every morning. Very friendly house keeping.

This property is located in a very convenient area among many shoppes and restaurants. Walking distance to almost everything. Reasonable rates, extremely comfortable beds and generous room size. If you stay here, ask for a quiet room-there seems to be a lot of construction in the area. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They will go out of their way to...

The hotel is well-located in walking distance to everything in central Vancouver. It's just a short stroll to the waterfront for the Seabus to North Vancouver or Water St and Gas Town and their many restaurants and bars. The hotel staff was able to fix any problem big or small without a fuss and in short time. The room was...

My costs for staying here were covered, it is outside of my normal range. Easily the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Service was exceptional. Staff were always ready to deal with any question or issue, often with a smile. And they were competent! All sorts of fancy fashion displays in the lobby area which I'm sure is nice...

The ongoing renovations make access to the hotel parkade difficult with cars blocking the driveway and dangerous to get around. There is contruction still underway inside which may result in a unwelcome sound of drilling to disrupt your peaceful weekend morning. Would suggest either specifically asking the hotel to assign you to a room far away from the renovations, or...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
