We arrived in Vancouver after a 20hr flight from Aus, very tired, and went straight to our hotel. I was surprised to see, we had to carry our luggage up about 10 stairs to get to the reception. We were greeted by lovely staff, who...More
We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. I booked it based on its central location and fair price (for Vancouver anyway). Check-in was painless and they upgraded our room from double beds to queen beds. The room is spacious enough, but fairly dated. Our...More
Vancouver was my city for 13 years and I go back occassionally for visits. It has been a few years and I can say I dont miss the traffic the overwhelming amount of homeless people and overpriced hotels!

I was a little turned off by the street (minus 1 star) but once inside, it was a 5 star hotel. Decor, furnishings and staff were terrific. I only booked this hotel because of all the great reviews from Tripadvisor.... and they were right on.

Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy
social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
