The hotel itself was nothing special. The staff was friendly, the rooms were very small, nothing special, but importantly, the beds were comfortable and the parking at $25 per night was reasonable for the area. The restaurant/Irish Pub that was attached to the hotel was very good, entertaining and good value, which was further enhanced by the 20% discount they...

I called to book a room directly with hotel and was quoted a government rate for our booking 5 months prior to our arrival. The email confirmation was never sent to us as promised and when I had to call again a week later to request it, I unfortunately didn't notice that the quoted price was not accurate. Upon arrival...

Because our train across Canada was delayed in start and thus late in arrival in Vancouver, we need up at this potential party central hotel. One elevator for 5 floors, one desk person for baggage transfer unless want to bring it all up with you, p/c's, traffic on street, people walking, partying up and down, street, etc. It was Saturday...

Stayed 3 nights. Room is quite small and carpet is quite dated. There was only enough room for one nightstand beside the bed. The floor in our room was kind of uneven in spots. The view from our room was hideous, just the other sides of the building that looked quite dingy. You can tell this is an older hotel....

We stayed two nights. Renovated recently and very nice. Central location as we like to walk everywhere. Tim Hortons right beside it. The breakfast at hotel was very good though. We tried the pub and it was good also. We are coming back in a week to stay again before continuing our touring!

We booked a mid-week stay for one night at the Comfort Inn Downtown Vancouver. because of its convenient location. When we checked in, we discovered that the additional parking fee of $32 CAD was not for a period of 24 hours, but only until 11am the following morning. We wanted to stay in Vancouver through lunch on checkout day. The...

The staff was helpful and great. The bed was the best I have slept in. The location was good. I am not used to paying for parking everywhere, but that is how it is in Vancouver. Everywhere we visited was fulfilling and beautiful. Staff showed us where some things were on a map, it helped.

We stayed here after our cruise and didn't spend very much time in the room. It was the smallest room we have ever had. No room to put our suitcases and 3 of us for 2 nights. The room was clean and beds ok. It was expensive- but a great downtown location. I liked the friendly service and the lemon...

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Location was another bonus, very close to BC Place & Rogers Arena. It's an older hotel but it's maintained very well. Being close to Granville, we heard the sirens on occasion but you're likely going to get that in any major city's downtown area. I'd certainly stay there again. Ron, Red Deer,Ab

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
