The Opus is an excellent hotel in downtown Vancouver. Superb location on Davie St near the hockey and football stadiums. Small but really comfortable rooms, well designed with L'Occitane toiletries. Extremely helpful staff plus a very good coffee shop next door. Stayed at a few good boutique hotels in New York (Rivington etc) and this reminded me of those. Recommend.

My Husband surprised me for our 13th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed for one night. All the rooms are updated, new, and modern. Each room has an iPad and phone which can be taken off the property and help guide you around the city. The hotel also provides a house car to take you to nearby restaurants but it is a...

I stayed here on New Year's Eve and it made for a great start to my year! The room furnishings are top notch. Very comfortable bed, Keurig coffee maker, and high end toiletries. My girlfriend enjoyed the use of the iPad. She had never had the chance to use one. Very clean room. I work in the lodging industry and...

I recently stayed at the Opus hotel which is ideally located in the Yaletown neighborhood of Vancouver. It is located in an area that has access to several of the best restaurants and nightlife spots in Vancouver. The thing that really stood out to me was the stellar service I received from the every staff member at the hotel. They...

I visit Vancouver frequently for work and always stay at they the opus (and have neglected to write a review until now). Everything about the opus is top notch! The service quality is very strong throughout all that work at the hotel, the gym is small but well stocked, the bar is modern and has a great wine and cocktail...

Yes, the colourful decor and style of the rooms may catch your eye, but the service from the staff and in-room amenities are tough to beat. To take full advantage of the location, be sure to walk around Yaletown and enjoy the local businesses and dining options. It may seem pricey, but try it once and you may find yourself...

My wife and I were in from Toronto to spend Christmas with my parents in White Rock (about 45 minutes south of Vancouver). Our wedding anniversary is December 28th and we planned to go out to a nice restaurant in Vancouver and spend the night. We had reservations at the Blue Water Café in Yaletown for dinner. Ideally, we wanted...

We stayed here on New Years Eve , booked almost at the last minute and we were not disappointed. We really enjoyed our stay at Opus Vancouver. The location was great- close to everything Vancouver has to offer. Service was amazing- we hired bikes only for one of the tyres to pop. They paid for our cab back (unprompted) and everything was hassle free. The front office staff made great recommendations for food. Comfy beds, great breakfast. Only negative...

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.

“We requested a higher floor room away from the elevators. Yaletown is a busy part of downtown and the higher floor cut down on the street noise as did the bathroom which is smartly placed between the bedroom and the street side windows.”

“Liked the recycling bin.. if it's actually sent for recycling. Would have liked to be able to tell housekeeping they didn't have to change my linens and towels every day. Every little bit helps! You should get a sustainability expert to direct you on much more sustainable practices... or a marketing person that toots your horn! ”
