Great location walking distance to basically everything downtown. Close to the train station so easy access from the airport which was ideal for us not having a car. Nice clean rooms, spacious and the heating was good. Staff were nice and friendly. Hotel facilities such as pool and gym are connected to the city club next door so if this...

My husband and I stayed at the Auberge for four nights in December to visit friends and explore the downtown core. Though this was not our first time visiting Vancouver, it was our first time staying at the Auberge. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and found Reception to be helpful throughout our stay. Our room had a fantastic view...

This hotel is part of a complex with a residential component, offices, the "Terminal City Club" and hotel rooms on floors 8 through 12. Our bedroom and bathroom, for the price and convenience of the location were clean, comfortable and good. The staff, particularly housekeeping, were excellent. There is also on-site parking and I recommend that you get a pass...

Dear SAS in Toronto, Thank you for your extensive review of your recent stay at the Auberge Hotel. Nice less expensive option with little sacrifice close to everything in Coal Harbour, Canada Place, Gastown & Downtown. Please just remind the maid to not leave her Walkie talkie blasting in her cart in front of guests doors at 800am please.

If you're looking for a great place to stay in Vancouver that's close to Gastown, the waterfront and other places in downtown, this is a great place. The rooms were very nice with great city views. The staff was extremely friendly. We stayed over Christmas and the hotel delivered complimentary fruit plates to every room. It was extremely thoughtful and...

We had a corner room with a great view of the harbour. The rooms were clean but a little beat up. Walking distance to the water and to restaurants. We had friends on another floor and the elevator wouldn't let us go from floor to floor until we had the front desk reprogram our room key. They said it was...

We had a thoroughly pleasant stay - the hotel is comfortable and quiet. Our suite was nicely appointed. Had a small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee machine and glassware, but no dishes or silverware. Comfortable bed, good bathroom with shower over tub. Two TVs, good view from 10th floor over downtown Vancouver. Small touches: morning newspaper hung over the door handle...

Room was very nice, the hotel actually seemed to be a breakaway from an apartment building. Situated close to Gastown. Lots of restaurants nearby. Apparently there is also a pub in the hotel but I never visited it. Breakfast was a dismal affair. I would think a supposed 5* would have some hot food but this hotel never.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
