We found this place through a recommendation of the B&B we had previously stayed in Toronto. For the price of a city centre hotel room you get a whole flat to yourselves with free internet, self catering facilities and a cosy gas fire. The residential location is pretty, quiet and has free on-street parking, again all pluses. The breakfasts were...

Patrick and Lauren are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The guest area has a separate entry and is really a suite, with a large livingroom with fireplace and satellite TV, separate computer work area, tub in bathroom, and quiet bedroom. Doors separate areas, so you can sleep, or use the computer, while someone is watching TV or working in the kitchen...

Loved the breakfasts, our morning chats, loved how beautiful the room looked when we returned at night after our visits through beautiful Vancouver. It felt like our little home away from home- tucked away in your quiet neighborhood. Please call them and book some time to stay at their lovely Bed and Breakfast.

A perfect location and wonderful accommodations. We loved our stay here. The street is quiet and the homes beautiful. Lauren and Patrick have thought of every detail to ensure comfort and safety. The suite is spacious, well-appointed, cheerful and comfortable. The bedroom windows are such that we enjoyed the wonderful Vancouver night air and slept wonderfully. We could easily walk...

To call this a B&B is to understate it by a significant degree. It is a superbly equipped and appointed apartment with the added bonus of delightful hosts. We stayed 5 nights on arriving in Canada and my credit card failed! Patrick not only took the whole thing lightly but offered me a free phone call back to the UK...

10 minuits from downtown vancouver, Arbutus Vista Bed and Breakfast is top quality. Hosts Patrick and Lauren are superb, gave us all their local knowledge and experience, and went out of their way to help us. The breakfasts are outstanding, and we will re-book with them in September before we return to Australia. Gerry, Lynne and Conor O'Keeffe

This is a meticulously cared-for apartment. It is private, nicely-laid out, and comes with very pleasant ownership. Patrick and Lauren were very accommodating, and have taken extra care to make this mini-suite comfortable. There was a greeting gift of nibblies, it was well-supplied with coffee and teas, and breakfast--brought to the suite the day before--is fresh and mostly home made....

My wife and I recently stayed 9 days at Arbutus Vista BnB during the Olympics and we must say that the glowing reviews for this excellent, one of a kind BnB are certainly well deserved. The "bed" part of the BnB, a 540+ sq ft, self-contained suite (bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen) with its own private entry, is spotless, cozy...

This place is a great bed and breakfast, top notch for a first time stay at a B&B. My girlfriend and I went to Vancouver BC during the Olympics (absolutely insane atmosphere at it's best). To separate the B&B and Vancouver from the Olympics it is an absolute great place to stay, and that goes to the owners (Lauren and...

We spent a couple of nights at Arbutus Vista when we first arrived in Canada for a two week trip. The hosts (Lauren and Patrick) were exceptionally helpful and friendly and straight away made us feel at home. The accomodation itself feels totally seperate from the rest of the house (it has its own entrance) and we felt like we...

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
