Vintage corkscrews everywhere, private wine museum, dozens of stained glass windows, antiques and curios: you might not want to tear yourself away to explore the beaches, parks, shops and restaurants only steps away. We love this historic and eclectic part of Vancouver and wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.

This inn is the best B&B we've ever stayed at. It really felt like a beloved home full of so much beauty and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. The whole house has heated floors so we were warm, no matter how chilly it was outside. There's a mini-fridge on the 2nd floor

Great location with many great sites to explore in the area and beyond. Karen is an excellent resource and even supplies discount coupons! We enjoyed the gardens around UBC, Granville Island and even travelled up to Whistler for a day and thoroughly enjoyed the Peak to Peak
