There are enough glowing reports on this site about the Corkscrew Inn but always room for another. This has to be one of the nicest and most interesting B & B places we have ever stayed in: beautifully restored house in a good area, a few minutes from the sea and easy access to Granville, the city and just about...

Kitsilano kitsilano It's my type of town. They say that location is everything and The Corkscrew Inn has it spot on, just two blocks from the coast and two blocks from 4th Avenue the main restaurant and shopping district in Kitsilano. Downtown is a thirty minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride. We stayed in the French room, a...

The Corkscrew Inn has had justifiably good reviews over the years. We stayed here in June for 2 nights and were very pleased with our choice. A well decorated and interesting building with charming and helpful hosts. We were in the Art Deco room, and would recommend it. It overlooks the front of the building and has an interesting "in...

The Corkscrew Inn was a great place to stay as a couple - the rooms are well appointed and comfortable, the common areas cozy, and the meals delicious. The Inn's location was great for seeing downtown Vancouver and the Granville Island area - everything is within walking or biking distance, and Karen was quick to offer maps, tips on getting...

We had a great time at the Corkscrew Inn. We started each day with a beach run then breakfast cooked by Wayne (have you had a Kiwi Moose?) and spent the days seeing the sites and eating at all the amazing restaurants. The location was wonderful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the weather was perfect. I miss the Inn...

We had a great stay in the Arizona room in April. The location is beautiful, safe, and close to the sea wall, bus stops, shops, and restaurants (we loved Naam). The inn provided a clean, cozy room and access to the main house where we found cookies, tea, internet access, conversations and advice from other guests, and our morning tasty...

The Corkscrew Inn is an amazing B&B, from Karen (Manager) to the breakfasts and everything in between. We arrived early (10am) and Karen allowed us to store our bags until our room was ready. As we were setting off to explore, she took time to listen to what we were thinking and gave us great ideas to enhance the trip....

I stayed at the Corkscrew Inn while visiting my daughter in Kitsilano. I do a lot of travelling, have stayed in a lot of hotels, inns and B&B's - this is by far one of the best. The accommodation is incredibly comfortable, the rooms are beautifully appointed - with all of the comforts you could want. The breakfast was excellent...

This is a lovely place to stay. The cleanliness is perfect, Karen and Wayne are the ultimate hosts, the food is incredible and the attention to detail is second to none. There is tea and coffee available 24hrs a day ( and biscuits ), they provide a very comprehensive list of the local attractions, a detailed street map, hints and...

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
