Detailed Reviews
I stayed there 5 nights while visiting family and the room was comfortable and clean. The shared kitchen on the ground floor was superbly equipped and very very clean. You don’t even need to wash up (except pots) as someone does it. Plenty fridge space for everyone. Nice dining area, lounge and TV lounge. Buses stop 1 min walk away. A very nice and convenient House.

Thank you for a great stay! Triumf House is very clean and well run. Loved having a kitchen to cook my own meals too. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a convenient place to stay for UBC Hospital and Purdy Pavilion care home. Transfer on public transport from Vancouver Airport is very easy too.

Nice working stay. It was convenient for a 10 days experiment in Triumf. Conveniently located in the campus it offers many amenities (common kitchen, nice hall with a piano). A goos stay when you need to relax far from the lab.

Tried to book using their website and had to call. The young woman was difficult. Another woman helped us book a standard room. Asked for a quiet room but there was a loud droning sound all night from outside, beneath our window. We asked the young woman to move us but they were unable to assist us.
It seems to be a private facility and not one normally accepting the general public. There was a lot of student types and they kept the kitchen area busy and an mess. We chose to eat out instead.
I think we will look at other accommodations on campus for next year.

This was my second stay at Triumf House. TH has great service, on-campus location and nice amenities with a full communal kitchen, laundry and parking (always a concern in Vancouver). However, choose your room carefully. Ask for a room on the north or east side, facing away from Wesbrook Mall and Thunderbird. The traffic is non-stop and loud, The students who live nearby are even louder on weekends as they party hard. The south side of the building is so hot, not even A/C will cool the rooms in late spring, summer or early fall.

My husband and I stayed at the Triumf House boutique hotel on campus at UBC in Vancouver last weekend as I was attending a continuing education course on campus. The location of Triumf was excellent for me to walk to my buildings! The rooms are small but certainly adequate for a short stay. The room rate was $110 CDN/night for weekend rates which we felt was quite reasonable for downtown Vanc! There is a fully equipped kitchen (including frig and freezer) and dining area if one wishes to cook and eat in, as well as tea and coffee available 24/7, and a lovely sitting area. We were very happy to stay at Triumf and plan to stay again in another month when I have to go back for part 2 of my course. Yeah there was some partying noise Fri night but you have to remember you are on campus! There are a ton of restaurants, pubs and coffee places all over campus as well as strip malls. Just loved my time on campus at UBC! I would highly recommend Triumf House to anyone!!

I was teaching a two weeks' course at UBC, so my local friends recommended to reserve a room at TRIUMF House. So I did and was very happy with virtually everything. The room is small but very cosy and it has everything you might need, including a couple of comfortable chairs and a computer desk. The Internet connection is wireless and works great. My room was very quiet and I truly enjoyed a comfortable queen bed. On the first floor there is a really nice living room and a big kitchen with a few sizeable refrigerators and all the amenities to cook and eat practically as if at home. The Guest House provides all sorts of kitchenware. A big grocery Save-on-Foods is within 700 meters away, a very easy and pleasant walk. I also appreciate a great coffee machine in the kitchen and the chance to have fresh coffee any time of the day.The House is situated in a quiet corner of the campus, and walks in the evening add to the joy of staying there.
The manager and the staff are very friendly and happy to accommodate your needs. I feel very grateful to everyone who made my stay so pleasant. Would love to come back. Thank you!

We didn't want to pay the huge prices of Vancouver and the YWCA was sold out. I found this one line and decided to try it. Price is excellent, room is very small but all we needed. The house is new, spotless clean and beside a park. UBC is huge, like its own city.
The communal kitchen is the best stocked we have seen for dishes etc. You can have a space in one the the huge fridges and freezers. We made our own breakfast every morning. The best coffee ever ! A machine for americanos and expressos. We used the underground parking for $6.50 a night. The staff was very friendly. Only the housekeepers were around when we checked in but they were very helpful
we were given a code a head of time to get into the building as we arrived after hours. It seemed like it would be so far away from Vancouver but it was actually nice to stay in that area, close to Kits and the beaches.

I had to stay in UBC for a few days for testing. Triumf house seems to be best option, it is located in the new area of UBC, 10min walk to student cafeteria, McDonald's, sushi, noodles. Another 10-15 min walk to supermarket (safe-on-food). This is a guest house with shared kitchen on the ground floor, utensils, refrigerators are all available. Coffee machine (Franke) and hot water pot available a for tea. Mugs are available. Just return all the mugs, dishes to a tray, staff will gather all and put them in dish washing machine.
Room is little small but sufficient for a person, shower area is good but tiny, big guy may request a good with tube. New LCD tv is recently installed. I'll definitely stay here next time again.

A great place to stay if you want a quiet, clean room, close access to UBC or the hospital at UBC campus. About 30 minutes from downtown but great bus service to all parts of Vancouver. Within walking distance to UBC Aquatic Centre, UBC Museum of Anthropology, Nitobe Gardens. Great restaurants are not within walking distance but there are a variety of fast-food outlets, an on-campus pub as well as short walk to Save-On foods if you want to make your own meals in the spacious kitchen. Great, fresh coffee 24/7, clothes washing facilities, small exercise room, computer in lounge. Very clean and well maintained. Built specifically to house scientific researchers at the UBC Triumf facility (who often work shifts) so suits those looking for a quiet or restful (not party-like) stay. Staff is helpful. Have returned repeatedly while in Vancouver.
