I rented the Heritage View Suite from August 2020 to Feb 2021 as I was on business in the Victoria area. The suite was gorgeous exactly as shown in the photos online. The beds were super comfy. The enormous deck with the view of the harbor was a bonus to chill on on weekends. All info on the suite is documented in a binder and if I had any additional question the wonderful hosts Rod and Melissa of City Life suites were available. The location is great in the heart of china town. Its walking distance to everything. The best coffee of ever is across the street at Habit. Harbor Air, the Empress, and Government Street are minutes away, Grocery Markets and restaurants are all within steps. One of my fav places to grab brunch was Boom and Batten just across the Johnson St Bridge. My coworkers also rented suites from City Life suite in various downtown locations and had great experiences. I can highly recommend City Life Suite for your next stay in Victoria.

We thorougly enjoyed our stay with City Life Suites in Victora last winter. We stayed in two suites in the middle of downtown; everything was within walking distance so no car was needed. Stayed in the Paroramic Suite and the Nexus Suite.. Rod and Melissa were extremely helpful; they even helped move our belongings and groceries from one suite to the other. Both suites were full stocked; we lacked for nothing! They

We spent the Victoria Day long weekend in the City Loft Suite.
Steve (the owner) gave us pretty easy directions from the airport and met us as we were pulling into the parkade. Check in was simple and Steve gave us a quick little tour of the loft.
The loft had all the amenities that we needed. Dishwasher, laundry, cork floors, fully stocked kitchen, and some fruits and bread for breakfast. The only small hiccup was that the ethernet cable for the internet was not there when we checked in. Steve remedied this very quickly and had a cable in the loft for us by the time we returned from dinner.
The location of the loft is quite good. It is just steps from the waterfront, and only about a 5 - 10 minute walk from the Empress. The only problem is that there is a club just across the street and it can get a little loud at night. Earplugs are provided in the suite though, but we did not require them.
We would definately stay again.

From the moment we were met by Steve (the owner) off the airporter bus we felt comfortable and at home. The condo (Metro Suite, Astoria Building) is furnished to a high standard with wooden floors, glass topped tables, leather and suede sofas and chairs and a kitchen with every appliance or utensil you would ever need. With cable TV, DVD, stereo system and internet with free local and North America calls we immediately felt at home. Our hosts Steve and Trish were most helpful and only a phone call away if there was a problem or if information was needed. There is secure underground parking and video entry system. The location of the condo is fantastic, only a few minutes from the inner harbour, Parliament Buildings and the down town shopping area. Whether you stay for a few days or for longer you couldn't choose a better place to stay...........

My little family and I recently stayed at the City Tempo suite in Chinatown. Steve and Trish were extremely accommodating in every way possible. Our flight was delayed and we showed up late, no problem, Steve met us when we arrived, was sure to give us a tour of both the apartment and the area. He didn't even make fun of my terrible parking job! We were pleasantly surprised to find that the suite was immaculate, just as beautiful as the pictures that he had emailed us. There were no unpleasant surprises during our stay, a bit of street noise, but nothing that we were not told about in advance. We were very pleased to discover that the linens and towels were new, tasteful and quite comfortable, as most rental accommodations have terribly cheap blankets and pillows.... and it shows! Renting this apartment was like staying at a friend's place while they were away, it was comfortable, classy and felt like a home away from home. Steve and Trish are awesome and were promptly available to help us with any concerns or questions we had. They were very friendly and easy to deal with and made every effort to ensure that our experience was something that we would remember! When we were leaving, they asked for any input about things that we were concerned with, or any suggestions on how they might improve on the apartment for other guests! We had a wonderful time in Victoria, it came naturally, as all great memories should. Thank you Steve and Trish! You will be the first people we call the next time we come back! Thank you for treating us the way guests should be treated. You both do wonderful work!

I was fortunate enough to spend 3.5 months in Victoria. During the time, I chose to rent 3 different vacation rentals. Although each of them were fantastic (for different reasons) and all property managers were top notch.......Steve and Trish from City Life Suites were the perfect hosts! Upon settling in, I discovered that they had left a fresh loaf of bread, cream, coffee/tea and some fresh fruit to welcome me. Such a thoughtful gesture especially for guests who would arrive late. They could at least wake up in the morning, have a cup of coffee and breakfast before starting their Victoria adventure.
Steve and Trish were only ever a phone call away if I needed any questions answered or any assistance. I mentioned to Steve that I was excited to BBQ and he delivered a fresh tank of propane the next morning.
I could seriously go on an on regarding Steve and Trish, but I will simply say.....they started as my vacation rental hosts and now I am honoured to call them my friends. CLASS ACT!
As mentioned, this was my 3rd vacation rental this year and the unit itself is beautifully furnished and decorate. It was "stocked" the best out of the 3. I stayed at the suite at Mermaid Wharf for most of March 2013. It was a lovely oasis in downtown Victoria. A real home away from home. I recommend this suite for anyone traveling to Victoria for business or pleasure. The only thing to be aware of, which I was told before I rented the suite, is that on Thursday - Saturday nights the Canoe Club next door can be a bit noisy. However, the Canoe Club is an excellent place to eat and drink, and to sit on the patio in summer. So if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Thanks so much for your kind words Bernadine and for noting that we always give full disclosure regading the weekend music from across the street at the Canoe Club. When the windows are closed it is barely audible, but some folks may find it disturbing. Having said that, most of our guests see it as a "bonus" to the location, as they can sit on the terrace of the Canoe Club and enjoy the waterfront atmosphere while sampling their delicious menu items and ther micro-brewed ales and beers. When you are lucky enough to find the perfect team to look out for you during your stay in a vacation rental, you will always remember what a difference that makes.
Rod and Melissa were simply consummate hosts, and made it their duty to ensure our perfect stay. We couldn't have been happier.
The Astoria Terrace Suite is not the most luxurious vacation rental in that neck of the woods but has every convenience, no matter how small, to make life perfect - even little key hooks near the door to hang those pesky, never-be-without-one fobs.
My husband and I continually commented on how well-run the Terrace Suite was, how secure and happy we felt about our stay there, and what a genuine pleasure it was to know Melissa and Doug were discreetly and ever so promptly available to us. Melissa is downright charming and they're both superb professional property managers who make complicated logistics smooth and simple.
We have since stayed in another vacation rental nearby, higher end (fireplace, granite countertops and wall ovens) but with so many annoying shortcomings, it is a struggle to appreciate it. (What's really the point of installing blackout curtains if the curtains don't slide on the rod?)
So if you want to be happy for the whole of your stay, my advice is to opt for a property that Rod and Melissa manage. A happy experience, guaranteed!

We stayed at this suite for one week in late September 2015. The suite is very well furnished and equipped including excellent wi-fi; and we really enjoyed the unbelievable view from the 19th floor.Check-in as well as check-out was very easy, and Rod even left some fruit and other starter items for us. This apartment is situated in one of the newer condos in Victoria, on a high floor with plenty of room for my GF, her daughter and me. It is a (very) short walk to the Empress, the Harbor, and all of the charming "Inner Harbor" area of downtown Victoria. Active Ideas: rent a bike and ride the Galloping Goose Trail out of town and through beautiful tree-lined trails, take an evening stroll on the path around the Harbor, spend the money to do a whale watching cruise (its worth every penny), rent a kayak and see the watery side of the Island. Great hosts who provided lots of ideas and resources.
