The only drawbacks are these. First, when I stayed, the weather was unseasonably warm and the rooms heated up a lot. There is no AC in the room, although they do provide a fan. Second, there is no restaurant, although there is a nice place to eat on the water just a block away.
It’s an easy 15 min walk into town, with shops, restaurants and pubs along the way.
Only drawback was the noisy floor above me - it sounded like stilettos walking on glass the whole time.
Will definitely go back.
All rooms are view rooms. Owner is very accommodating. This is my granddaughters favourite place to stay
And the con's: as another reviewer mentioned, the city busses are noisy. Stayed a Saturday and Sunday, and as of 10 pm Saturday the busses were still going strong, every 10 minutes or so. Who knows how late they run? Thankfully, I feel asleep. Sunday was not a problem at all. The seagulls make a crazy racket starting way too early and going for an hour, then they seemed to quiet down. So consider packing a pair of earplugs. Mattresses are worn out; they dip quite a bit in the middle, and the blankets are the thin polyester type that don't breathe well.
"There's no air conditioner - but a lovely breeze off the ocean and also a fan in every room. I would suggest grabbing breakfast things."Read full review
