This is a great little motel if you want a clean place to sleep and a convenient location. If you want room service, a pool, an exercise room etc., this is not the place for you. The rooms would be considered dated décor by some or wonderfully retro by others. The motel is extremely well kept up and clean. The...

Clean and comfortable rooms. I Ioved the retro fittings and fixtures. Fantastic views over the ocean. We saw 2 orcas from our balcony (top tip: watch for a whale watching boat to see what they've stopped to look at!) 15 mins walk to the Inner Harbour. 15 mins walk to Beacon Hill Park. Do go for a walk along the...

I booked this room based on other Tripadvisor recommendations. The motel, location and staff exceeded my expectations. Check in was quick and the staff coudn't have been any nicer. The room was retro with black and white tiled floors and a pink bathroom, a full kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, a small kitchenette, a comfortable bed AND a deck...

The Surf Motel has a cute retro feel with clean rooms and a very friendly staff. I loved sitting on the balcony watching people pass by, it felt like being a celebrity at Mardi Gras. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review could be a good thing for some people, and it is the bus stop very...

This is an older style motel but in great clean shape. Love the location and the view. You can see the ocean from the bed! How nice is that! It's reasonably priced and good old fashioned. Prefer this to a modern high rise hotel.

My wife booked us into this motel a week ago after looking at the prices of the hotels in Victoria during the high season. This place was less than half the price and included free parking! The room was clean and had all the amenities that you would expect. The bonus was that the suite had a floor to ceiling...

Stayed here overnight (without a reservation.)What a clean room with a view! Everything was sparkling, beds more than comfortable, shower with great water pressure. There were a few things we thought somewhat odd but didn't take away from the niceness of the place...no microwave, we brought leftovers back and no way to quickly heat them up ( we did use...

Clean and comfortable hotel - retro look! They totally pull it off! We were initially concerned about the traffic and noise due to horse carriages, cruise ship traffic and live music playing. Then, around 9 pm, everything quieted down and we had a fabulous sleep. In the morning the walk out the breakwater was heavenly. We will be back!

In this day of big box bland motels and hotels - what a delight to stay in a classic style room. I have walked, run and cycled past this place for years and finally had the time/opportunity to stay. The rooms are spotless, the king bed was "dreamy", the pink bathroom simply fun and the balcony views unparalleled in Victoria....

This motel is a little ways from the Inner Habour and downtown areas but we walked there and back daily. The rooms are very clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a fair bit of nosie from the road in front of the motel (Dallas Rd) that you can hear inside the rooms as the windows...
