Our recent visit to Victoria, BC, coincided with the American Thanksgiving holiday, and despite chilly, rainy weather and no turkey on the table, we had a wonderful time. Our stay at Dashwood Manor was most excellent in every way, from the starkly beautiful views out our bedroom windows to the hearty breakfast each morning. Our hosts offered us insightful dining...

Don't stay at a chain hotel when you can stay here. Each room of this character home is unique with breathtaking views. The ocean walk is right outside the front door. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the front room with waffles and omelettes. It is a short walk down Cook Street to restaurants, bars and groceries. We were so...

This is a wonderful B &B just steps from the beach. The hosts were very friendly and very helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do. Our room was huge with a wonderful view of the ocean. Great to watch the boats pass by. I would give a 5/5 but the room and amenities are bit old and...

We had Dashwood Manor recommended to us by two separate people at work who had stayed there. The recommendation was spot on. We booked Somerset and Dorset on the top floor. Both rooms are comfortably furnished each with a huge ensuite bathroom and large balcony giving good views over the seafront. Breakfast was a work of art with fresh fruit...

First and foremost, Dashwood Manor likely has the best location in all of Victoria. The southern side of the house faced out over the water. Cross the street, and you are on the beach at Clover Point. Cross the street to the west, and you are in Beacon Hill park. For location alone, this would be the place to stay....

This is a charming, historic old house whose architecture seems to be a mix between tutor and craftsman located at seaside. A half mile away are restaurants, markets, a pharmacy and even a Starbucks. The location gets you out of the downtown bustle and traffic and into the more serene aspects of Victoria. There is a wonderful walkway along the...

Michael and David were great in helping plan activities. Great views of the sea and ship and seaplane traffic in and out of Victoria. Great breakfast with choice of entries with juice , coffee, and half a pastry to start. A peaceful place next to Beacon Hill Park to the West and an off leash dog park across the road...

Michael & David made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble and we were given the Camalot room which had a wonderful view across the water with Mount Olympus in the USA on the horizon. The room was massive with a huge ensuite & separate sitting area. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented with a good choice...
