Can't say enough nice things about this lovely little boutique hotel within walking distance of EVERYTHING! We stayed here for 2 weeks in May 2022. From the extra care given to my reservation when booking (thank you Natalie!), to the warm and welcoming staff, to the comfy beds, quality linen, fluffy towels and in-room espresso machine - we were delighted with it all. We loved our spacious corner room with windows on two sides (and also in the bathroom!) - felt very homey and comforting. Windows open, and an efficient heat pump kept room temperature just right, Built in 1911 as The Prince George Hotel, it operated as the Douglas Hotel from 1918 until 2007, when it was completely renovated by new owners. Retaining its beautiful high ceilings and corner mouldings befitting its Canadian Heritage Registry status, today's Hotel Rialto has a lovely, elegant and understated Euro/Italian feel to it (love the stair railings and carpets!). There is a delightful restaurant and cocktail bar (The Palms) attached. Thank you to all the Hotel Rialto staff ❤️ for making us feel so welcome and making our stay so memorable. Could not recommend more highly this lovely boutique hotel...…
We have stayed at Hotel Rialto a number of times. The staff are over the top helpful and efficient. The location is amazing. Walking distance to all downtown locations and a short drive to other attractions. the valet parking was super helpful and for only $22 per day, great value. The rooms are clean and efficient. The lounge is lovely! Will stay in the future without hesitation.
We always enjoy staying here when in Victoria. It’s quiet, clean, has comfortable beds, and the room has the expected features (coffee machine, mini fridge, microwave). There is a coffee station at the front desk in the morning, if you prefer drip coffee. All staff we engaged with were friendly and helpful. The fruit bowl at the reception desk is a nice touch. The location can’t be beat if you are looking to walk and explore Victoria. We would highly recommend the Hotel Rialto.
Very comfortable and well situated. Easy walk to many must see destinations in downtown Victoria. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife enjoyed the complimentary body lotion. We would definitely stay there on a return trip to Victoria.
The Rialto ticks all the boxes: ideal location, lovely accommodations and fantastic staff! Also, enjoyed an amazing dinner at the attached Palms! Once again, we had a wonderful stay, wish it could have been longer! Hope to be back soon!
