We selected the Embassy Inn for its location (a block away from the ferry and from the BC Museum and across the street from Parliament), reasonable price, and complimentary cooked breakfast. We were very pleased with the reception staff who adjusted our prepaid reservation that was made for the wrong date. As ferry walk ons, we arrived in the morning, relieved that our error could be corrected, and then was offered luggage storage and breakfast as our room would not be ready until the afternoon! We highly recommend the Embassy Inn for its excellent service from staff, comfortable beds and furnishings, microwave and refrigerator in the room, updated bathroom, delicious complimentary breakfast, expresso machine in the dining area—all for a reasonable price.

Thank you for the great review of your recent stay with us here at the Embassy Inn. Many guests find our location to be ideal as we are close to EVERYTHING Victoria has to offer. Literally across the street from the BC Parliament Buildings. Close to attractions, dining spots, shopping areas and theatres. Our awesome staff truly take a lot of pride in making sure all guests enjoy their visit to our hotel. Very happy to read we were able to assist with the date mix-up. The addition of the all day coffee maker has been a hit with everyone who enjoys a late day cup of coffee. We do look forward to seeing you again soon.

Our experience with the Embassy was great from the moment we booked the room! When I called to book, the manager was the person who answered the phone. We booked a room with a king sized bed and he automatically bumped our room up to the suite at no additional cost, the room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and when my daughter came up to visit, she said it was like an apartment. They offer a free continental breakfast that offers hot dishes ( eggs, potatoes, waffles) as well as cold. A very friendly and accommodating staff as well. I highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Victoria!

Although this inn is 30 plus years old, it has been updated and is very clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast included with the room price was fairly extensive with several staff on duty to keep all food items well stocked and the area immaculate.

What a great place to stay in Victoria. It’s in a wonderful location right beside the legislature so we were able to easily walk to downtown Victoria and fisherman’s wharf. Embassy Inn offers free parking and continental breakfast. The value for the dollar is very good. Most hotels in the downtown core charge a fee for onsite parking and with covid being active most do not offer breakfast. They even had housekeeping services but you had to be out of your room.

We found our room to be a decent size. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was well stocked with toiletries and linens. There was even a Nespresso machine in our room.

We were very placed with our stay at Embassy Inn. Staff a friendly and efficient. All covid protocols are in place, rooms are well furnished and clean and the value is very good.

I would highly recommend Embassy Inn.

Thank you so much for the great review of your stay here at the Embassy Inn. Glad to read you thought the location is ideal. We are close to all Victoria has to offer. And with everything we provide for our valued guests like the breakfast, wifi and parking, (I think we are one of two hotels that still do not charge for parking), it truly is a great deal to stay with us! Glad also to read you noticed our pandemic protocols. Ours guest's and staff's safety is very important to us. We hope to see you again soon.

I booked this hotel because of its central location and reasonable price. I was expecting an older hotel and was very happy that it appeared to have been through a renovation recently. Most everything looked new and made our stay a very pleasant one. We were in a king bed room which we found to be very comfortable for two people. The only issue was the heating which we had to turn on and off to keep the room at a comfortable temperature . The bed was comfortable and the shower worked fine with lots of hot water.
Breakfast was your standard continental buffet, not a lot of options but all we needed. The buffet are was very clean with someone cleaning the serving spoons whenever they were used.
The area was quiet too.

Excellent location! Breakfast was fantastic…the chef and his team were constantly making sure the trays were full and the area kept spotless. It was nice to be able to do laundry during our enjoyable and relaxing stay in very clean rooms. Everyone was helpful and very courteous.

This hotel had a great location but wasn’t clean at all. Thankfully we had requested an ‘updated’ room as per a lot of the hotel reviews as the older side looked scary. Continental breakfast was a free for all of zero social distancing and all food being touched by every guest. Not very comfortable during covid times. I usually love Embassy hotels but this one needs some major updates and higher cleaning standards.

Thank you for the review. I am sorry you didn't find your room clean. If I may ask that you reach out to me personally, (the hotel's GM), I'd like the opportunity to investigate and make it right. We do pride ourselves on proving clean and comfortable accommodation ALL THE TIME. The Embassy Inn is made up of two buildings. One is our current hotel with 70 guestrooms. The other building is the original and has been closed for over 5 years. We do not sell rooms in the old building which by the way is slated for demolition in 2 months. It sounds to me as if you might have thought it was opened but it is not. As for the breakfast area and food provided, I can confidently state, (because the provincial health inspector was just hear) we are currently exceeding all requirements as set out by the Provincial Health Officer. Tables are located 2 metres apart. There are ample signs advising all guests to practice physical distancing. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance to the breakfast area with ample signage advising guests to sanitize before entering the breakfast area. We have extra staffing in place to sanitize all touch points throughout the breakfast area. I look forward to hearing from you so that I can further address any concerns you might have had. Thank you.

Good, clean and basic hotel with a very good location.
Good value here for the room rates they ask for a property in the Inner Harbour Victoria.
Tired and uninspired room where they serve a continental breakfast that is a carb fest.
Staff were all very friendly
Parking is free
It's a reasonable choice

Thank you for your review of your stay back in November. Sorry to hear the free breakfast didn't meet your level of expectation. Many of our guests are appreciative of the offerings. we are unable to provide the usual eggs, meat and hash browns due to the current pandemic. Once things get better and travel restrictions are lifted, we will get back to our awesome breakfast. Hope to see you again sometime.

We stayed in the Embassy Inn for two days in Victoria, BC, and discovered this prime location with walking distance to everywhere - the harbour, the Legislative Building, the fishermen's wharf, Chinatown, Government Street cafes, .... and we even have a kitchenet in our room.
Embassy Inn included a buffet breakfast up to 10:30 a.m. , but no dining in the evening, and that is no problem at all because there were lots of eating places all around town.
