Stayed here with my family over the US memorial long weekend. We had a great stay. Will definitely stay again in the future. We booked the 1 bedroom suite as we had a party of 5. The suite was spacious and we had plenty of room. We had unit 313. It had been recently updated. Everything nicely appointed and in good shape. The room had 2 comfortable queens a living area with a pull out sofa, table with chairs and small kitchenette with microwave, full size fridge, stove and cutlery/dishes to use. There was also a small balcony. From our room we could see the legislative building and even the top of it lit up at night. Breakfast was good, clean and in a a spacious room. Location was great! So close to the inner harbor, we caught the carriage rides not far from the hotel. Parking was complimentary. All in all everything was great. Between the comfort, space, breakfast, location and parking, the hotel was of great value.…
Great staff in all the departments. Many of the staff have been with the hotel for a decade or more. The hotel location is perfect for walking around James Bay area, visiting the Legislature (don't miss trying their dining room for a meal) and enjoying the beauty of downtown Victoria. Thanks for the great stays I've had at this wonderful hotel.
This is right around the corner from the Empress Hotel. Our rooms were on the 4th floor; high ceilings with a skylight. Comfortable beds and nice towels. Very quiet. Breakfast was a notch above the typical hotel breakfasts but no complaints.
Excellent location! Breakfast was fantastic…the chef and his team were constantly making sure the trays were full and the area kept spotless. It was nice to be able to do laundry during our enjoyable and relaxing stay in very clean rooms. Everyone was helpful and very courteous.
The locaation is convinent to a lot of Victoria's sites. Walking distance to many, It is an older hotel but well maintained. Breakfast is not routinely served before 7:00 but on day we were there tour group had it opened around 6:30. Breakfast was a typical hotel buffet type nothing out of the ordinary,
This hotel was extremely clean and a great location. Even though it was in the city centre it was very quiet at night. The staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfast had lots of choices for our family with kids. It was great value and I would definitely stay again.
We enjoy staying at this very well located Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very accommodating. Breakfast is your standard breakfast that is nicely staffed and the area is kept very clean.
All of the staff are very friendly. The location is perfect for tourists as it’s close to tours, the BC Legislative Building, the museum and other points of interest. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The complimentary breakfast is fantastic.
I booked this hotel because of its central location and reasonable price. I was expecting an older hotel and was very happy that it appeared to have been through a renovation recently. Most everything looked new and made our stay a very pleasant one. We were in a king bed room which we found to be very comfortable for two people. The only issue was the heating which we had to turn on and off to keep the room at a comfortable temperature . The bed was comfortable and the shower worked fine with lots of hot water. Breakfast was your standard continental buffet, not a lot of options but all we needed. The buffet are was very clean with someone cleaning the serving spoons whenever they were used. The area was quiet too.
We needed to stay down in vic after bad weather and didn’t feel like bunking with family so we ended up looking up a preferred hotel list from work and this was on the list. We’ve stayed at other places close by but this was amazing value for the money. I was a little unsure because it seemed a little dated in a few pics, the outside not toooo much to write home about, elevator a bit slow BUT We had a top floor corner room and once we figured out where the heater was(it was -9 outside) it was fantastic hahah. The staff are so kind and accommodating, the inclusion of a “continental” buffet breakfast was soo much more than we expected, the kitchen staff were right there to be helpful (and share a laugh at my lack of skill when I’m half asleep lol) and parking included to boot…. I think I’ve found my go-to crash pad!…
