Enjoyed three luxurious days in the TLC of the Laurel Point team. Starting with the easy-peasy reservations with Tiffany, to the helpful assistance of Brad and Kalen at the door, and the welcoming check-in with Heidi, all surpassed my usual stays at other properties. Room was well-appointed, stylish, and so comfortable. Staff throughout was friendly - going out of their way to say good morning with a smile, making me feel at home. Definitely recommend!

We have just had a very pleasant stay here! We stayed in the Laurel wing, which is clearly the older part of the hotel, but it was nonetheless very good! Our room was very spacious and had an enormous bed, sofa, desk, fridge, kettle and well-equipped bathroom with good, powerful shower over a mini bath - like shower tray. We had a small outdoor corner area, good for taking photos not through glass but too small for seats. Our room had a superb view of the inner harbour and was great for watching the seaplanes’ “runway” and the water ferries coming and going. We opted for the room service breakfast each morning. This was always delivered exactly in our specified 15-minute slot, even though they varied each day, and Carly, who brought our breakfast on two mornings, was a genuinely lovely person! Toast wasn’t great but my omelette on day one and porridge and fresh fruit on the other days were excellent! Orange juice was excellent. It is a bit of a cheek that you have to pay separately for milk with tea or cereal… One down side was that the room was quite noisy - the air con was very loud indeed, and there was some (expected) seaplane noise, but actually the noise from the corridor was the biggest issue, especially staff rattling past with some sort of trolleys, talking quite loudly and opening and shutting doors loudly, all at about 7am each morning. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the location is definitely a great plus point, with the main attractions of the city centre a short waterside walk in one direction and fisherman’s wharf a similar distance the other way.

the hotel is very nicely decorated and has a asian feel to it. but the service is not good at all, the staff do not greet you nicely . they don't offer to clean the room and change towels unless you request it the night before. there is only one restaurant and you are expected to make reservations for breakfast and dinner.

We stayed three nights in Room with a balcony and beautiful view. Our room was stylish and the bathroom was spacious, with separate tub and shower. Each morning we had a delicious Eggs Benedict breakfast in bed. We took walks to all the restaurants and downtown stores. Easy self-parking for the car we didn't need. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a studio in the Erickson Wing. A huge room with big bathroom and lovely view of the water. Great facilities in the room. Located at walking distance from the town centre. We didn't have breakfast included in our stay, but the grab and go corner of the hotel was perfect for us and tasted delicious. One thing missing for a score 5: a place to lie down near the pool. Their are deck chairs in the garden, but once you leave the pool area you can't get back in. That was a little unfortunate. But we did a swim first and then took a chair in garden. Worked fine too ;-).

We stayed in a junior suite for 2 nights. We purposely picked the Laurel side of the hotel for its location with views of the Inner Harbour. However our bedroom window was disgusting , soiled outside with bird excrement on one pane, another pane was obscured due to the window unit having condensation within it. The living area had a balcony accessed by french doors but the balcony didn't have any chairs and the cement on the roof was crumbling off. The suite itself was in urgent need of upgrading which was summed up with a music system in the lounge consisting of a cassette/CD player and radio. We asked for a quiet room and ended up with one that had an interconnecting door to a room occupied by a young family so we were woken early in the mornings as there was no sound proofing with a connecting door. The hotel doesn't provide any room service during guests stay. We only ate once in the hotel; having breakfast in the dining room as it is shut 2 days a week which coincided with our stay. The only bonus were that all the staff were friendly and helpful. However this was the worst accommodation of our 17 night stay in B.C. which was disappointing.

The property is lovely, but our "Standard Room" (2 double beds in older Laurel Wing) was small, old, and tired looking, with chipped finish on the furniture and trim, almost no decor, a bathroom that desperately needed a do-over, and a concrete balcony that was tiny and without furniture. When we checked in we were offered (and shown) a newer room on the property's recently added extension that featured two queen beds, a large balcony with comfy furniture that overlooked the water, and a huge bathroom, that was just $80+tax more/night. The difference between that room and the one we had reserved was worth much more than $80/night, but this difference in price was small only because our basic room was so overpriced ($450cdn/night). If you can get the nicer/newer room at a more reasonable price this hotel is worth staying at. It has a really lovely property looking out over Victoria's inner harbour, and is along the footpath that will take you to downtown or to the cruiseship terminal. It's very close to the BC museum and Parliment etc. The pool was small, but the kids loved it regardless. No lap swimming if that's your thing. Didn't try the restaurants. Front Desk staff were perfectly friendly, and the on-site parking was convenient and safe.

We knew we had a room booked in the older wing of the hotel (Laurel) and did not have high expectations. After getting on an earlier ferry than planned we were really grateful the hotel checked us in early. And they upgraded us to a room with a better view for free. I loved out room which was so bright with amazing views. The hotel's location is amazing, just outside of the busy area to be quiet at night but right next to the water and in easy walking distance of downtown Victoria. We had breakfast at the hotel one day which was very nice (although would recommend Floyd's diner also!). There was no housekeeping but we didn't really mind as we only stayed 2 nights and they said to call the front desk if we needed anything. The only downside is parking charges, they seem to have gone up and are now $20 a night, British hotels rarely charge for parking so this is something we aren't used to and hadn't budgeted for. However, we are now in a different hotel elsewhere which is charging even more Overall, beautiful location and would stay again!

I got the impression that the room had not been cleaned for awhile. The horizontal surfaces were dusty, there was a soiled dinner napkin lying against the side of the refrigerator at the back. The lower part of the windows had not been cleaned since someone with a child who left hand prints on the glass, stayed in the room. There was no screen on the patio doors and upon closer inspection, the doors had been installed inside out, that is the track for the screen was on the inside and the moveable door was on the outside. To break into the room, all someone had to do was lift the outside door out of the track. Poor attempt was made to wash the algae off the patio. Several seals in the double pane windows had failed, causing condensation to form between the glass panes. The water was discoloured when filling the bathroom sink. No bottled water in the room and the filling station on the main floor for water bottles, was closed and a croissant outlet was to be installed. Staff refused to open the room for us to refill our bottles even though no construction had been started. There was mildew forming on the vertical corners of the shower. The grounds were unkempt. The entire hotel had a very "tired" appearance. The rates were very confusing. I paid one rate on Thursday, a higher rate on Friday and the highest rate on Saturday, with no satisfactory explanation. Perhaps the biggest surprise was that there was no hotel shuttle to and from the airport. People we met that were staying at different hotels informed us that not only did their hotels have an airport shuttle, it would also pick them up if they wandered too far afield. Our stay was April 21, 22, 23 2022. I srnt this letter 3 times but received no reply until June 23.
