Detailed Reviews
We travel to Victoria regularly for medical treatments at the cancer agency and find the Accent Inn to be not only convenient but friendly and accommodating. Appointments back to back on subsequent days or snowy conditions have kept us in Victoria on several occasions. Their rates for those on medical treatment are very friendly and we always look forward to collapsing in our clean quiet room and TV binging after a day at the clinic.

Dear jothvn, Thank you for your kind words, it is nice to know that you feel so comfortable at our "home". We are like a family here which translates into a home-like feeling. We do offer a medical rate to those visiting for medical appointments and cancer treatments and we hope to make our guests day a little brighter if they are going through a tough time. See you again soon. Warm Regards, Maureen

I needed to travel to receive medical treatments in the month of March during the evolving COVID 19 and the staff were able to adapt and provide for all of our needs for our entire stay including the provision of the included breakfast. They were unable to provide the traditional breakfast but ensured that we had a meal. They were able to assist with accessing other meals when restaurants had to close.
The cleaning staff were very diligent in maintaining all areas of the Hotel and ensured we had everything we needed to be able to maintain the social distancing that is so essential to dealing with containment of COVID.
I wish each staff the very best as they work to ensure guests continue to feel comfortable while away from home. I can’t thank the staff enough for making my stay comfortable and welcoming. I will definitely be staying again soon.

BC’s Premier has made much about us “exploring our own backyard” this summer due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. I’ve noted elsewhere how this has resulted in me “discovering” or re-discovering places in this Province. It’s been a fun experience and one I’m actually pretty thankful for. It’s made me realize that we don’t necessarily need to go elsewhere when we have so much diversity here at home.
As part of my Provincial staycation, I finally decided to patronize the Victoria Accent Inn. It makes sense that I would come here; after all, I’ve been a loyal guest at other branches, having stayed at the Burnaby and YVR locations (the latter countless times). There’s just something I really like about this BC-based chain. Maybe it’s the sheen of consummate professionalism? The incredibly clean rooms and comfy beds? The frequent guest rewards card? The exceptional value for money? Really, I think it’s all of these things. Taken together, it all results in a welcoming “homey feel.”
The Victoria Accent Inn has a pretty ideal location. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but if you want to get there, it’s a mere 10-minute or so drive. On the other hand, if you just want to stay close by, then that’s fine, too, because the recently renovated and expanded Mayfair Mall is literally across the street; bin4 Burger Lounge is right next to the hotel and Red Robin is but a short jaunt away. If you want superb brunch I’d strongly recommend visiting The Ruby, which is attached to Accent Inn’s sister Hotel Zed. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed with their delicious offerings!
When it comes to my overall experience here, I’d say it was on par with the other locations I’ve visited. The grounds were nicely kept; the staff were courteous and helpful (explained the new COVID protocols); the room was clean, spacious and contemporary; and, I loved that the lobby featured wall paintings of the Legislature and Royal BC Museum – go Victoria! If I had one criticism, it’s that I felt the parking wasn’t as robust as, say, the YVR location.
Overall, this was a most enjoyable stay. Even amidst a global pandemic, Accent Inn continues to offer a fine synthesis of excellent customer service, great rooms and value for money that, in my view, continue to go unmatched.

Dear PookyCake, Thanks for "staying local" and choosing Accent Inns Victoria. Over more, thank you for being such a loyal patron of our brand! We hope you are collecting your stays for our "stay 10, get the 11th-night free" program. If you did not, let us know and we will get a card sent out to you with your updated 2020 stays. Based on your awesome review, you would make a great addition to our team as a concierge! You have a lot of great recommendations. Accent YVR definitely has ample parking; here in Victoria, we have some parking at the front and side of the hotel and a big lot in the upper, south end of the building. Next time you stay, if you are having trouble parking, we will be sure to point you in the right direction so parking is not a challenge. We are glad to know that you made the best of your stay amidst this pandemic. We have worked very hard on our Covid-19 protocol to make this a safe place to stay, we all need to get out of our houses once in a while. We will see you again soon!

This motel is totally overpriced. For well over $ 200 per night you should be able to expect a clean carpet, clean bath tub and no paint chips on the door. I stayed 3 nights. Had to get coffee and fresh towels myself. There is no housekeeping anymore and no breakfast. Watching TV from your bed is impossible. The TV sits on a low dresser and can't be moved.

I am writing this at 10:45 pm as I hear heavy footsteps in the room above ours (ground floor) which we have been hearing for 2 hours or more. I imagine a family with young children. We could hear a woman (mother?) talking to her kids. We could also hear someone running water in their bathroom, possibly a shower. Obviously, there is no acoustic barrier between the floors.
I have called the front desk already abut this; they said they would take a walk around to see if they could hear anything. They would need to be in our room to hear it.
Otherwise the front desk staff have been very helpful and accommodating. But I don’t feel the room is worth the $209 per night we are paying!

Dear KayakPB, I am sincerely disheartened to read that the noise in our hotel caused such a disturbance. We do our best to relocate our guests to another room if noise is an issue, I'd imagine we may not have had another room to move you to otherwise we would have offered this to you. I'm sorry KayakPB. Please reach out to me directly and perhaps there is something more I can do for you.

From the welcoming and friendly staff to the rooms that contain what you need - this is the location to be. Outside entrances and quick access to one of the main roads in Victoria make it an ideal location for your home away from home. The kitchenette room that I had contained a variety of different things that allowed me to make a wonderful meal in the room when I wanted to. Also close to three different grocery stores which helped. Great value for your budget and perfectly located to Royal Jubilee hospital . The ducks are a lovely gift and we love seeing which one we will get on our visit.

Price was too high, staff was rude at check in. They said they don't clean rooms when you book two nights, only when you leave. I was told one price when booked over the phone at the location, and charged a higher price when checked out because the second night fell on a Friday.

We stayed here for one night after attending our friend's wedding. I was very impressed with our room; it was a good size, had a surprise kitchenette in it, little chocolates left on the nightstand for us, and of course, the rubber duck in the bathroom is a cute touch. We had a king size bed and it was very comfortable; I loved the extra large king sized pillows on it,,,I will be looking for similar ones for our bed at home! The clock on the nightstand automatically adjusted itself for daylight savings time, which was very handy. There was a full size ironing board and iron in the closest and lots of hangers provided. Didn't get a chance to use it, but I have to mention what I thought was the coolest feature in the room: there was a retractable clothesline available in the bathroom. What a great idea! Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Dear 13_K_N_C_1313-this is a "perfect" review. Thank you for sharing your experience with the world. It sounds like you had a great visit to Victoria, all in all. Yes! We put Hersey Kisses on the nightstands for all of our guests...just a little something to let you know we love you. Our pillows are called "Opulence" from Eden textiles. Our Cubie Blues are great for playing music, charging devices, and keeping our guests on track with daylight savings time; anything we can do to help make life a little easier, we are there for it! Thank you for the recommendation, and we look forward to welcoming you back.

I booked a Junior Suite and was very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities this room offered. It had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There were extra pillows if needed too. There was a tv in the back room and one in the front so I was able to watch a show while my husband watched the tv in the front. The comlimentary breakfast was a bonus as well. Staff was awesome and you could get apples and cookies to take to your room. I was able to walk to the Mayfair shopping centre, so a great location. The bin 4 burger lounge that was right beside the hotel, was so good!
The only thing that I can mention that we did not know, is that if one books online via a third party, you can't get the medical rate. You need to call the hotel directly and tell them and you will receive the rate. I wish that I would have known this beforehand. That also goes if you qualify for a government discount.

Yes, we do offer a scheduled service from the hotel to downtown. Check with our front desk for details. Have a great trip!
