My (female)Friend and I had a lovely time at the Union Club. We thought it might be fun to have a gentleman's club sort of Peter Wimsey sort of stay. It was very enjoyable, gracious. We splurged for a suite and it was totally worth it-sitting room with fridge, real furniture, not hotel clones. Delicious breakfast included. We snooped around...

We spent two nights at the UC after 5 nights in Vancouver. UC was outstanding. Food was very good, breakfast was a killer, and the staff and furnishings were top rate. We will return and we recommend to all of our friends a visit to the UC. Don't miss it.

This place is in a great location with easy access to the waterfront and many locations in Victoria. It is first and foremost a club, and if you can deal with the dress code and a few oddities, it's a very nice place to stay. Breakfast was superb and the bartenders in the main bar were awesome, telling stories, making...

Dear Davebruin, Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Club, found the service in our McGregor Bar awesome, and had a delicious breakfast in our Dining Room. Yes, because our heritage building does not have Air Conditioning, we do have oscillating fans in each room, but I'm sorry to...

It was very lovely, it's nice to see a place that shows the beautiful history of Victoria. Growing up in Victoria I have always loved being in a city that is invested in it's history. We have many beautiful heritage houses and buildings all over the greater Victoria area, it's really interesting to be able to stay in a piece...

If you like the old school style clubs then this fits the bill. It is very centrally located downtown Victoria. Nicely exclusive with an aura of days gone by. A little 'tired' but they have recently smartened up the outside and are slowly working round the inside. The main Reading room is very impressive and they are justly proud of...

The Union Club is an unapologetic tribute to Queen, Country and Empire, not generally something I recommend, but it's incredibly comfortable, well-priced, centrally located and cozy. The dining room is well-worn in a good way. Club members told us what table to sit at, and inquired about our opinion of the food. It was an odd, but not unpleasant feeling....

Not cheap, but good. Very old school atmosphere. Lovely sit down made to order breakfast. Canopy bed, windows open, all the amenities of home are available. Good location, quiet. Bed is so fluffy it comes with a wee adorable ladder for climbing in.

During our stay we moved to 3 different rooms, as they were booked up, so got a chance to see some of the different options. They have done a good job updating this stately building and the location is perfect for walking about town. The suites are large, comfortable and well appointed. Go for a suite if you can and...
