We stayed here at the recommendation of our friends who we were meeting. We had a larger unit to accommodate visiting together. Staff were friendly. The facility is a renovated heritage home and can accommodate self catering. There is no room service or house cleaning and you need to be able to manage stairs. Our unit was a bit noisy in the early morning as we were located between the common kitchen and dining rooms. Beds are firm. Our only complaint would be that the Internet/Wifi rarely worked and the TV when on cut in and out. A number of guests went to the common living area/space to access the WiFi. We did not add on breakfast but our friends did and said they enjoyed it.

The rooms are clean, quiet and cozy, shared living and dining area is welcoming and the neighborhood is pleasing. We especially liked the friendly, charming and competent hostess that greeted us, Ola. (sp?).

As always, my stay at the Craigmyle was super enjoyable. I always book a room here when visiting family in Oak Bay (2-4 times a yr). The rooms are extremely clean, the service is friendly and as an added bonus, I can use the shared kitchen to prep a simple lunch or snack which is a convenience not found in downtown hotels. I LOVE the location and enjoy heading out for walks in the Rockland area. The Craigmyle is truly my home away from home.

I had a lovely 4 nights at the Craigmyle. I was in Victoria visiting my family. It was so nice coming ‘home’ to a cosy bedroom and a quiet, peaceful place to relax and read. I would recommend staying here. I’ll be back

Excellent service, the lady in the front is so kind and tries her best to help. The furniture and decor is beautiful and the view from our suit to the castle was breathtaking. The breakfast was well worth it for the price. We will definitely be coming back !

I came to the Craigmyle (my second visit) for a sad reason. To close my father's apartment after his passing. I really appreciated the quiet and the comfort of this place. Next time I want to try out a different room! (I was both times in the beautiful 202). Thanks so much for everything.

We enjoyed the location that was close (but not too close) to downtown. The common areas were well managed and comfortable. The walls were thin, but people seemed respectful of that. We were never able to find parking right in front of the building as we were instructed to park, but the neighborhood had ample parking if you went around the block, and it is a lovely neighborhood to walk around anyway.
