The hotel is right across from one of the loveliest city parks I have seen, and a short walk from a large grocery store. Also only 3 blocks from one of the best museum in North America. Can't beat that!
Having stayed in queen twin room 105 for three nights, we left feeling rested, relaxed and contented. Having flown from Australia, Stephen's welcome was warm, the room was quiet and spacious and the beds very comfortable.

Sometimes you can only hope you get a nice room, with nice accommodations. James Inn offered that and a lot more. Not only were we fortunate to be on the ground floor but our front window looked out over the lovely garden and the Hansom...More
Over all, the stay was great! I had to ask the housekeep to do a little extra cleaning in my room as they missed a couple spots but they were prompt to clean it up. Narissa (?) at the front desk was great! A couple...More

No air conditioning. Rooms have fans and the windows open. Victoria seldom gets hot enough for air conditioning. It's hardly ever humid. As the temperature goes up, the humidity goes down. Temperature drops rapidly at sunset. It's a very comfortable climate. It rarely goes above 30C/90F and there is usually a breeze off the ocean that moderates. I never missed air conditioning at the James Bay Inn or when I lived in the city for 10 years.
