This hotel, located a few blocks from the waterfront, is a good base for a walking tour of Victoria. We stayed one night in a "connected room". We had a queen bed in one room connected through the bathroom to a double bedroom. Mattress was very comfortable in the Queen room. Not fancy, bathroom fittings from the 70's/80's, otherwise a...

I started this in April. I stayed here for the third time in March/April, It was not a holiday this time but a funeral. Steve and Nerysa were amazing as usual and did everything to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Thank you you both and all of the team at the James Bay. I stayed here...

Had only a night but really enjoyed this little boutique hotel. Nothing fancy but everything you need including the bar-restaurant on site! Don't like the chain hotels much so this was perfect. We walked to several places near by. Bed/mattress was okay. Parking onsite! Enjoyed football on the TV in the bar too!

First impressions, the room seemed a little bare, no coffee making facility or kettle and no information in the room, which is a shame cos I like that. Very comfortable bed, free coffee available down in reception during the morning, which I nipped down and took back to bed. Excellent position for sightseeing only 5-10 min walk to the harbour...

We stayed here for two nights recently - we were allocated a room in an adjacent annex of the hotel - not the main building. We had a lovely suite - bedroom, plus separate sitting room with a full kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay - there was free coffee in the lobby all day, staff were extremely friendly and there...

Cottage was a better deal then two rooms and I am happy we made the choice. It has been loving updated with some of the vintage details left intact. One TV in the living room with 3 couches/love seats, dining room with seating for 6, FULL kitchen with coffee pot & electric teapot. Just provide the food. 2 bedrooms with...

We stayed for two nights at the James Bay Inn. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We had dinner twice in the dining room and both nights the presentation was great and the meals delicious and very reasonable. Would recommend the JBI for a comfortable and reasonable stay.

Lovely place to stay in Victoria. Blocks from Parliament Building, Royal BC Museum, waterfront, inner harbour, etc. Very nice lounges and outside decks on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Pub is excellent, very good service and food was good. Lots of locals which is usually a good sign. Nice quiet area but this is an old building so be prepared...

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and the service was excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and always smiling. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The restaurant was also great for breakfast. Generous portions, and very decent prices.

This is a hotel with character, situated in James Bay, a quiet area of Victoria yet only 5 minutes walk from the Inner Harbour, the Parliament building and the Royal BC Museum, and close to the Emily Carr House and beautiful Beacon Hill Park. No elevator but help was offered with luggage. No kettle in the room. But the hotel...
