Sylvia the owner was so helpful in recommending first class restaurants where the food and service was outstanding, she even arranged an earl breakfast for us so we could make our ferry crossing in good time. It’s about a 25 minute walk through a lovely neighbourhood to downtown Victoria, a taxi back from a night out about $20 with tip (£12).
Deer and squirrels roam the gardens.
Bedrooms are a delight, large comfy bed and powerful shower.
Not the cheapest place to stay but in our opinion well worth it, would not hesitate to book again in the future.
Thank you Sylvia and staff for a very warm welcome and outstanding service

The breakfasts we had were scrumptious. Fresh baked goodies, attention to details, options offered for dietary needs.
The Inn is in a residential area in a lovely neighborhood, right next to King Charles’ garden. It’s the perfect place to stroll hand in hand or read, a book! Restaurants are walking distance (10-15 min) in a safe area (where deer is often spotted in gardens or on the street). Downtown is not much farther and the walk there is very pleasant.
We would love to come back.
Fairholme Manor Inn is the perfect place to stay in Victoria!
Thankfully the heatwave had dissipated and we were very comfortable (there is no A/C). Super comfortable king bed. Lots of space in the suite … in fact it is like a one bedroom apartment … cute kitchen with fridge, stove, sink and small table and chairs. The suite is not done up in a busy Victorian decor … rather just spacious, clean and comfortable. I just felt a wee bit bad for the people downstairs as the hallway floor squeaked rather loudly when/if you get up in the night … nothing to be done about it but to walk softly. But … maybe it’s not as bad as it seemed.
Loved the quiet of the neighbourhood at night. Enjoyed the deer, rabbits and hummingbirds on the property. Enjoyed looking out in the morning to see all the volunteers arriving to tend to the plant nursery of the Government House next door … a happy, cheery bunch.
Breakfast was a special treat each morning. We sat in the dining room two mornings and on the veranda another.
The proprietors are both very nice people … they’ve been at it for 20 years and they most certainly know what they’re doing.
I am very glad to have chosen Fairholm Manor and would most definitely stay again.
We enjoyed dinners at “The Collective Wine Bar and Kitchen” in Cook Street Village and also “Cafe Brio” on Fort Street.
Located in a historic neighborhood, perfect for walks. Close by is Cook Street with restaurants and shops...downtown five minutes away.
Sylvia and Ross are gracious hosts, welcoming as is their staff. Breakfasts were different every morning, delicious and healthy.
You will really enjoy the Fairholme and it's lovely gardens.

Breakfasts were creative and delicious.. the rose garnishes ( from the garden) on the plates were a lovely touch. Home baking, fresh fruit and choices of meat or fish along with the artfully plated savoury dishes were most generous.
Our suite was immaculate, beautifully appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The location is quiet, yet not too far from town and the beautiful public gardens next door are a lovely place for a walk.
We look forward to a return visit.
We stayed in the Olympic Grand Suite. Second floor with a nice comfortable King bed. The room size is large. Small TV and fridge in the room.
Breakfast was fabulous. Sylvia is amazing! Home baked breads, yogurt parfait, eggs, coffee, juice. Highly recommended as a terrific Bed and Breakfast.
