A wonderful place to stay, this is a stunning house inside and out, total quality, fresh flowers everywhere, even on your breakfast, the food was totally outstanding, homemade and delicious, the attention to detail and cleanliness was second to none.
Sylvia the owner was so helpful in recommending first class restaurants where the food and service was outstanding, she even arranged an earl breakfast for us so we could make our ferry crossing in good time. It’s about a 25 minute walk through a lovely neighbourhood to downtown Victoria, a taxi back from a night out about $20 with tip (£12).
Deer and squirrels roam the gardens.
Bedrooms are a delight, large comfy bed and powerful shower.
Not the cheapest place to stay but in our opinion well worth it, would not hesitate to book again in the future.
Thank you Sylvia and staff for a very warm welcome and outstanding service

This beautiful B&B is a total oasis and a place of contentment for me. I have stayed there several times and always come away refreshed and calm, no matter what was going on around me. Sylvie and the amazing staff are so kind, down to earth, and welcoming. The location next to the Lieutenant Governor's residence and grounds means you will always have a great walk at hand. Unbelievable breakfast!

Charming Victorian house with beautiful garden. There are deer and a bunny roaming around. We stayed in apartment 7 and it was everything we wished for - clean, comfortable, upscale. Sylvia is an attentive host, she was making sure our stay was most satisfactory by making us dinner reservations and suggesting outings.
The breakfasts we had were scrumptious. Fresh baked goodies, attention to details, options offered for dietary needs.
The Inn is in a residential area in a lovely neighborhood, right next to King Charles’ garden. It’s the perfect place to stroll hand in hand or read, a book! Restaurants are walking distance (10-15 min) in a safe area (where deer is often spotted in gardens or on the street). Downtown is not much farther and the walk there is very pleasant.
We would love to come back.
Fairholme Manor Inn is the perfect place to stay in Victoria!

Amazing g house and we stayed in a stunning room with sofas and a balcony. Amazing views out to sea. Deer in the garden. Excellent host who offered an exceptional welcome. Lovely peaceful location yet not far from downtown Victoria. One of the very best breakfasts with homemade Muffins, fresh fruit, granola, scrambled eggs with salmon or bacon

We spent 3 nights (Aug. 16,17,18) in the Penthouse Suite.

Thankfully the heatwave had dissipated and we were very comfortable (there is no A/C). Super comfortable king bed. Lots of space in the suite … in fact it is like a one bedroom apartment … cute kitchen with fridge, stove, sink and small table and chairs. The suite is not done up in a busy Victorian decor … rather just spacious, clean and comfortable. I just felt a wee bit bad for the people downstairs as the hallway floor squeaked rather loudly when/if you get up in the night … nothing to be done about it but to walk softly. But … maybe it’s not as bad as it seemed.

Loved the quiet of the neighbourhood at night. Enjoyed the deer, rabbits and hummingbirds on the property. Enjoyed looking out in the morning to see all the volunteers arriving to tend to the plant nursery of the Government House next door … a happy, cheery bunch.

Breakfast was a special treat each morning. We sat in the dining room two mornings and on the veranda another.

The proprietors are both very nice people … they’ve been at it for 20 years and they most certainly know what they’re doing.

I am very glad to have chosen Fairholm Manor and would most definitely stay again.

We enjoyed dinners at “The Collective Wine Bar and Kitchen” in Cook Street Village and also “Cafe Brio” on Fort Street.

We had a great stay at the Fairholme Manor Inn. We stayed in the penthouse suite which is a nice size with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room and sitting area. Wonderful views from the different directions. You can see the mountains and water to the one direction and Government House park to the other. The breakfasts are very tasty, nicely prepared and presented and will certainly leave you full. We'd certainly stay here again.

We stayed three nights in the lovely Rose Garden suite. Very spacious, it included a second bedroom, kitchen and bath as well as a large deck overlooking the garden.
Located in a historic neighborhood, perfect for walks. Close by is Cook Street with restaurants and shops...downtown five minutes away.
Sylvia and Ross are gracious hosts, welcoming as is their staff. Breakfasts were different every morning, delicious and healthy.
You will really enjoy the Fairholme and it's lovely gardens.

We recently spent 3 weeks touring the west of Canada and the USA and this was our favourite B&B / hotel from the whole trip. Stayed in a Queen room (not a suite) which was spacious and had sizeable en-suite bathroom with shower and sunken bath. On ground floor and we saw many deer just outside our window. Breakfasts freshly cooked and wonderful. Fairholme Manor is located in a lovely suburb of Victoria about a 10 minute or 30 minute walk from downtown Victoria, close to Government House and Gardens and Craigdarroch Castle and also close to the Oak Bay area which offers many eating and shopping options. We were not captivated by downtown Victoria but loved the area Fairholme Manor is in and it's close proximity to some lovely bays and beaches (we saw sea otters and seals). Our stay at Fairholme Manor really made our trip to Victoria special. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you again Sylvia and Ross for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Loved this beautiful place with its perfectly maintained grounds and look forward to coming back. The owner/hosts Sylvia and Ross and staff are most gracious, helpful and friendly.

Breakfasts were creative and delicious.. the rose garnishes ( from the garden) on the plates were a lovely touch. Home baking, fresh fruit and choices of meat or fish along with the artfully plated savoury dishes were most generous.

Our suite was immaculate, beautifully appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The location is quiet, yet not too far from town and the beautiful public gardens next door are a lovely place for a walk.

We look forward to a return visit.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Fairholme Manor. What a wonderful spot! A very elegant century home that has been refurbished by Sylvia and her husband Ross. There are 6 rooms spread over 2 levels. The home is in an upscale residential area of Victoria, about a 5 minute drive from the downtown waterfront area.
We stayed in the Olympic Grand Suite. Second floor with a nice comfortable King bed. The room size is large. Small TV and fridge in the room.
Breakfast was fabulous. Sylvia is amazing! Home baked breads, yogurt parfait, eggs, coffee, juice. Highly recommended as a terrific Bed and Breakfast.

We had a car. The Manor is s bit far for a walk into town. They may have Uber service too. You’d have to check on that.

Hi Molly, the Olympic Grand Suite and Rose Garden Suite and Penthouse are on 2nd floor. I stayed in the Olympic Grand Suite and I LOVED it! The couple who run it are great and the breakfasts are really delicious and fresh. I almost stayed in the Fairholme Grand Suite because of the bathroom but the top is better for the views. Olympic has this nice little sitting room and a balcony with great views. Hope this helps.
