We stayed in the Shiraz "penthouse" suite on the third floor for a couple days. It has a separate bedroom plus a bed for our teenage son and an office area. Let me say first that the service is friendly, the rooms clean and the breakfasts are delicious and creative (e.g. rosewater and melon smoothies, pancakes with birch syrup), a...

My husband and I made a trip to Victoria just prior to Thanksgiving this year. It was a fabulous trip and our stay at the Villa Marco Polo was the icing on the cake. We stayed in the Silk Road room which was spacious, well appointed and boasted a great fireplace that was started for us each evening. The breakfast...

What a beautiful get-away ! Charming, classy, clean, non-intrusive, romantic, and peaceful. The breakfasts are first class and unlike anything you've ever had........guaranteed ! The accommodations are so comfortable and tasteful.......spacious rooms, large washrooms, crisp linens and a decor that is thematically appropriate to a by-gone era. But wait.........there's more !...........the staff are top notch and give you your space,...

My husband and I have stayed at the Villa now three times and it just keeps getting better. Breakfasts are excellent and the house and gardens are lovely. We stayed 6 nights in the Zanzibar suite and loved every minute of it. Quiet street and close to downtown and Oak Bay. Can't wait to return.

A B&B-Place as you whant it to be. Beatutiful rooms, good service and really good breakfasts! The best with the breakfast were that it was four really delicious dishes but just enough food on each plate. Quality before quantity which I appreciate. Minus was not always working WIFI.

My husband and I exchanged our vows in the Villa Marco Polo gardens this past September. It was truly the most memorable day, filled with exquisite food, amazing staff and beautiful weather. We decided to stay 2 nights as it provided us with time to organize the day before, and we were given full reign of the house as we...

My husband and I had long wanted to stay in the inn which our former Portland neighbor Eliza Bingham has owned and operated in Victoria for the past ten years, but the occasion for getting there didn't materialize until our twentieth anniversary this past August. Dunisia greeted us warmly at the door and during our stay did everything possible to...

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights and truly loved it. We have stayed in many B&B's throughout the United States and Europe and certainly rate Villa Marco Polo ranks right up there with the best. It's located in a rather exclusive residential area a couple of miles from downtown. The room itself was very comfortable,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A leisurely game of bocce, a glass of amarone, a stroll past the reflecting pool of an Italian Renaissance garden, a massage in a romantic penthouse spa. Tuscany or Umbria perhaps? In fact, the exotic Villa Marco Polo, one of Victoria's most sumptuous inns, is located in Victoria's elegant Rockland quarter. This classically designed Victoria Inn, built in 1923 as a gift to a young bride, remains a favourite romantic getaway and wedding venue. ... more   less
