The location cannot be better! Restaurants are all around us:). Very comfortable apartment and bed. It is a very noisy street. Because of the old building, you have the feeling of sleeping with the windows opened! Don't think you can sleep in or catch up on some sleep. Bring some plugs!!

We stay in the Blue Suite for close to a week and found it very comfortable. The location is fantastic for walking in downtown Victoria. Pathways are close by as well and there is a great selection of quality restaurants to choose from. The comments about noise are valid. We generally travel with earplugs and masks so sleep was somewhat... More

I just spent 4 nights at Isabella's "Red Suite". It is very spacious and well equipped. It is good value for your dollar. While the location is close to Chinatown, Government Street and over-all downtown it's location is also close to a lot of bars & clubs, which resulted in be awakened many times during each night by loud, unruly... We stayed in the blue room with our daughter and I can tell you all we had the worst night sleep ever. We had the windows closed which made the room stifling hot. The closed windows helped a little but the noise level was unbearable. All night we heard people yelling, motor bikes, etc. All night this noise was carrying... More

We stayed at Isabella on weekdays and through the weekend. Having never been to Victoria before, we had no expectations. Isabella was charming, cozy, comfortable, peaceful and perfectly located! We loved the restaurant and the bakery on the main floor and the rising fragrant smells were a wonderful treat. We loved stepping down the stairs in the morning for a... More

We decided to revisit Isabella's as we had stayed there for our honeymoon 8 years ago and had a magical time. We were very pleased with the space and loveliness of the suite but sleeping was out of the question with the horn blaring, drunken, profanity spouting, and "I can't move my car because I am too inebriated" negotiations going... The houses are beautifully designed and the buildin itself with bakery downstairs is an eye candy. Rooms are very comfortable and clean and have a nice kitchen and living room. The only downside is that because it is on the corner of a busy street it gets really noisy all through the night til morning and the windows have very... More

Be warned your car ( and most of Victoria for that matter) will be covered in seagull poop! pros and... More

This was my second visit to Isabella's, this time staying in the Red suite. This was a great place to stay 3 years ago when the paint work was fresher, the sofa was newer, the bed linen crisp, etc. Now it is tired and very poor value for money at $195/night. Yes it is very spacious, but it is not... More
