Absolutely the most enjoyable stay I've had in Victoria. Large, comfortable and in a great location. Very accommodating staff who are willing to make your stay enjoyable and great location downtown near the inner harbour. Large and well appointed washrooms. Can't be beat.
We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of May at the start of our road trip around Vancouver Island. From the very start we were thrilled, as we received a complimentary upgrade from a studio to a 1 bedroom suite. The suite was fabulous; a good size living/dining room with floor to ceiling windows, a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bedroom and bathroom. The only tiny quibble is that there wasn't a safe (unless we just couldn't see it!). Even though the hotel is walking distance to everything, it was off the main streets, so it was quiet. The staff at the front desk couldn't have been friendlier or more professional. We received great recommendations for restaurants close to the hotel,- Floyd's Diner for lunch and Heron Rock for dinner. Would I recommend Oswego Hotel - absolutely. If we return to Victoria, this is where we'll stay!…
This hotel is in a great location, with only a short walk to the downtown core. The inner harbour is where we like to stay and got a great rate through B.C. Ferries Vacations. On arriving, we were informed that the underground parking was being compted. A nice perk. We had one of the unrenovated rooms, but it was quite acceptable. The kitchenette was nice to have. Only the 32" tv and the lack of cable channels were a disappointment.
Five stars isn’t enough for this wonderful hotel. Our great experience began with the reservation staff that guided us to a suite with stunning views of Mt Olympus. Our room was clean and well appointed with a complete kitchen, nice living area and comfy bed - basically a one bedroom apartment. My only quibbles: no air conditioning, which could be a problem in the summer; and a small shower stall. Staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. One can walk to most tourist destinations and restaurants, the underground parking is reasonably priced and very convenient. The neighborhood is quiet, as was the hotel. A superb benefit: BAR 500 restaurant on site is one of the best restaurants my wife and I have experienced anywhere at any price. Do to a change of name and ownership during COVID, it is not on Trip Advisor, but it is on Open Table. Food is locally sourced and creatively and lovingly prepared. They serve breakfast and dinner! The hotel and restaurant offer remarkable value.…
As a repeat many times quest, I was very pleased as always. Thanks for the good service. Lovely Hotel in a great location, close to everything .I will be back soon, to enjoy the comfort of the Oswego Hotel. Thanks again!
We can highly recommend this hotel, We have stayed several times and rooms are always perfectly clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The location in the beautiful city is excellent, with many walks and restaurants just around the corner!
This trip was a treat to myself and the hotel and staff services were a prefect foundation. Conveniently located. Well supplied room. What you see on line is what you get. Except the views it was far better in person and a pleasant surprise.
Great suites with plenty of space and amenities. Hotel Oswego is a perfect location to downtown Victoria to take in all the city offers. Free parking with a hybrid vehicle was a plus, staff was very friendly.
Perfection. Great staff. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful view. Suite was just the right size with everything we needed. Liked the location. Parking was easy and convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed. Victoria is the greatest city to visit. Parliament, buchart gardens, shopping and more.
A hidden gem if you prefer a bigger living area and full size kitchen, in place of other amenities (It has a very small gym, no pool). We had a few minor issues in the room to be fixed and staff came quickly. The sofa bed was very comfortable as there was 3 of us in the room, and it's nice to have 2 TV's if needed. There were 3 thermostats as well, one in the bathroom, living room and bedroom, so everyone was comfortable. I also appreciated being able to wash clothing on another floor, as we were there for a squash tournament, so clothing had to be washed. There were pots, dishes, an iron, blender, coffee maker and a coffee press. If you like to eat in - I would recommend bringing spices, salt and pepper, coffee etc. - I always do this then don't have to buy little things. There was sugar in the room, and some creamers in the fridge, but nothing else that I saw. Overall great place. I will say what attracted us to it initially was a sale on Expedia, regular $299, we paid $175 a night which was a great deal for 5 nights. Walking distance to downtown, and just a 3 minute walk to the water. Perhaps adding a bit of furniture to the room would help - a dresser in the bedroom and maybe a bit more storage in the living room.…
