We recently stayed at the Outback resort for the September long weekend. What a beautiful getaway!! We stayed in a Forest Cabin, which was beautiful! 3 bedrooms, 3 bathroom, perfect for us(2 adults and 4 teens). we used both pools and all 4 hot tubs and even had warm enough weather for a dip in the lake. We loved it... More

This place is amazing with outstanding amenities. Views are breath taking from the ridge homes if you are fortunate enough to stay in one. Pool is nice but real treat is swimming in the crystal clear lake. The resort is a bit isolated being a 20-30 min drive from Vernon.

We stayed in a trout lake 3 bedroom house and it was perfect for our family of 6: plenty of space and well equipped, a deck to eat out on with an open view of the hillsides (but not the Okanagan lake). We loved having the option of pool or lake to swim, the tennis courts and playground. It was... More

Based on the lakeside location, architectural style and previous reviewers we recently had a 3 night late summer stay at a resort home at the Outback Resort. As we booked fairly late, the available unit was a 3 bedroom in the "Forest Cabins" specifically FC-28. The setting of the Outback is outstanding, interesting buildings built into and around the granite cliffs... More

We appreciate that you enjoyed the entire surroundings of the Outback including all of the amenities but are rather concerned about the comments directed towards one particular home. As we record each and every deficiency reported daily and are very diligent in our policies and procedures regarding maintenance there were no recorded logs to indicate the deficiencies in that home... This past summer, we returned to The Outback and this time stayed in a 3 bedroom Trout Lake home. It was perfect for our group of 6 (including 2 children). The location is a bit further away from the main pool and lake but a 10 minute walk didn't hurt us! Our unit was missing a few items (a decent... More

Would make a world of difference if the beach was sandy versus rocky (young and old likely need to know they need water shoes or at minimum flip flops near by). Amount of things to do are endless and right at your fingertips. There is no need to go exploring as you can keep busy right at the resort:)

We stayed (6 of us) at one of the Ridge homes in June. While the house itself is stunning, the cleanliness is atrocious! I think we might have killed 20 spiders in the first day. It's like no one had been in the house for months and the staff just figured it was clean from the last guests. There were... More

My family and I stayed here for a week to relax. This place far exceeded our expectations for that purpose. Our unit was in South Bay, and had an excellent view of the lake. Not all units can say the same, though. From some units, especially near the top of the hill, I'm not sure you can even see the... More

We spent four nights at our Ridge home and they were very relaxing and enjoyable. The cleanliness of the home was not perfect but for the most part it was good. We had a beautiful kitchen to work in and lots of chairs and seats inside and out for relaxing and just being lazy. We left behind some salt and... More

It is a fabulous location for a nice romantic Valentines Day weekend and a very relaxing spot. We enjoyed a walk around the property, and just chilling in the cabin. The personnel were very helpful and courteous. I would recommend this location for anytime of year.
