We needed "pet friendly" accommodation for one night and as it was the week-end not a lot available. We thought it was good value and the gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating. If the need arose would stay again.

When the fires were burning in Kelowna we decided to get out. We drove up to Vernon arriving there about midnight. Despite the late hour, we managed to get a room at the Silver Star. The couple running the motel couldn't have been more helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the price was extremely reasonable. We liked the location too, as it was walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. We were very thankful to find a place to stay on such short notice, since hundreds of others were also looking for a place to stay. We are happy to recommend this motel to others.

Booked three nights there, in a kitchenette with one queen sized bed. Room was very clean, very spacious and the bed was very, very comfortable! Loved the old (and very effective!) gas heater. Very central location, easy walking distance to downtown. Big Starbucks right across the street that opens at 5am. The owners are a charming young couple who i believe only purchased the place early in 2021, and they are doing a great job.

The couple running the place were so sweet. They were personable and took the time to chat with us, something we didn't experience in our travels until this motel. That little bit of service industry kindness was sweet. The room was very clean and large. We were just passing through and it was conveniently close to many shops and restaurants. They are also affiliated with nearby restaurants for discounts. It was very hot out and the room was very comfortable. AC worked well. If we came through Vernon we would stay there again.

My husband and I have been travelling around Europe, America and Canada. With that said we’ve stayed in lots of hotels and motels.

The Silver Star Motel in Vernon BC was the best so far!

Spotlessly Clean, spacious room, air con, tea and coffee making, fridge, microwave, comfy bed, quiet- perfect.

If you’re a coffee person there’s a Starbucks right opposite!
Great access to getting back on the road too.

A lovely, kind, hardworking couple whom are making a great job of this Motel.

Thanks so much!

We needed a place to stay that was more inexpensive than a hotel. I am always leery of staying in motels since I had a bad experience last time I came to the Okanogan. This motel is very well-kept and clean. The owners are so friendly, hard-working and accommodating. It was lovely to stay here. I would stay here again and recommend them.

We had planned to camp but it started to rain as we drove in to Vernon so we opted for a cheap hotel room. Had a look at a few terrible, smelly (possible bed bugs) motels with economy (sort of) prices. Stumbled on the silver star for $6 more and worth every penny. No free breakfast but that is fine. There is coffee in the room.

Most importantly.....the room is clean, the bathroom is clean, good parking, quiet, good bed....it you can't camp...this was an excellent, economical option.

We would definitely stay there again!

Our last city we stopped by before heading back home in the lower mainland from our week long road trip to the Kootenay was the city of Vernon. Vernon is my very first city I ever visited in the Okanagan area when my GF took me to see her family 12 years ago and Silver Star Motel has always been our first choice of motel we stay at.We like their reasonable rate during differnet time of the year we visited. This motel provide clean rooms ,good service, good strong wi fi to stay in touch and in a convenience location that is to us not too out of the way to shopping, dining and visiting local relatives. This time we stay ,we notice they have made some good upgrades like flat screen TV and a really comfortable bed that was better than the one we have at home. Now we have to look for and buy the same type of bed when we get home. This bed really reduce our body aches we experienced from some long distant driving .All this made our stay that much more comfortable. The Inn keeper throughout the years has always been very warm and welcoming to us.Of all the other cities I have visited ,Vernon will always be my first love and the silver star motel has always been our home away from home to stay at.Bear in mind this is not in anyway some fancy accommodation with big bells and a big price tag,to us they are not neccessary for a comfortable stay in any city.
