Travellers' Choice
Imagine you could stay in a boutique hotel but only pay for the part of it you actually use. At Pangea, that’s what we created – designer pod accommodation that’s affordable, central, and social. It’s a hub where guests can meet like-minded travelers, but still have their own personal space at the end of the day. Best of all, we put it right in the heart of Whistler’s iconic village.

My wife & I took a very short trip up to Whistler from Vancouver. The Pangea Pod Hotel was a very exciting concept we were eager to try and it did not disappoint. Friendly and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable. The bar and kitchen served great food and drinks (although the portions are on the smaller side). An overall great experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect location in whistler at an affordable rate. We WILL be back.

Great hostel - perfect location, friendly staff, nice bar and hangout area and all-round a great vibe. The staff were very helpful in helping us deal with some booking issues, and the private pods are a nice touch. Facilities were modern and worked well. Would definitely recommend, we had a fantastic weekend away!

Before I even booked with Pangea, they were already responding to my messages quickly and making sure my questions were all answered. This continued during our stay. Check-in was a breeze, you use the tablet with the assistance of a front desk staff to check-in, vaccine cards are checked with ID, a pre-auth of $100 ($50 per person) is processed on your credit card which will be refunded after your stay minus any costs acquired during your stay of course then you get a wrist band (1 each person) that serves as your FOB. We checked-in about an hour early but they have the living room that serves food and drinks to stay in although you do not need to purchase anything as a guest. We felt like having a drink and I was very happy with the delicious cocktail I had. At 4:00 p.m., we headed to our suite to locate our pod. We arrived to clean towels, hand towels, 2 pillows and a duvet. You get a text message to welcome you and to which you can send SMS to should you have any requests which they will do their best to fulfill. There were 2 toilets, 2 showers and a change room in our suite. There were 4 pods on the main level and a nice balcony overlooking the village plus 6 pods on the mezzanine level (up a couple of stairs). The main level pods had a gadget-friendly lockable area as well as 2 shelves plus 3 hangers and 6 hooks. The power outlet had 2 normal electrical sockets and 2 usb ports. There is a fan switch and a light switch below the socket. There is another light switch below the hooks for convenience (can reach it laying down). The mezzanine level pods had everything I mentioned but their locker is outside the pod so much bigger. I did not open it but it looks big enough to fit a big backpack or a regular carry-on. Oh and there was a tiny outside sink for when the toilets are in use by someone else and you just need to brush your teeth or something. So clean! Okay so here comes a word of caution but this is not under Pangea's control: when you book a pod here, make sure you know what you are getting in to. We are all reminded that quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am but staff cannot be expected to police the guests. There were some suite-mates who left and came in stomping their feet on the stairs to head up or down the mezzanine level. It was around midnight and definitely woke us up. Pangea provides earplugs so ask for one if you are a light sleeper and have a hard time going back to sleep when woken up unexpectedly. Again, know what you are signing up for because it is clearly laid out by Pangea. You are getting a comfortable and clean place to sleep in an excellent location for about half of what everyone else is charging. Count your wins and please do not ever be rude to the staff (not that I saw any who were but just saying). Check out is as easy as giving back your wrist band. You get an email later on to confirm that your pre-auth has been processed and what had been charged if you made any purchases. Will definitely return. Thank you Pangea staff!

I stayed at the Pangea Pod Hotel for four nights. I had such a great experience! The pod itself is cozy but had tons of room for myself and my things. The location cannot be beat as it is right in the centre of the village! There was always something happening in the Living Room and I met tons of cool people. The staff were super friendly and helpful (shoutout to Steff for helping me store my things on my last day in Whistler!) I will definitely return to Pangea the next time I find myself in Whistler.
