Detailed Reviews
We are a family of 4 with 2 toddlers from Vancouver with a car.
The location with ski in/out was perfect. With the added convenience of onsite ski storage (& rentals), we were on the slopes in a few minutes after leaving our room. The bottom of the slope was where the Blackcomb Day Lodge (ski pass/ lessons office) & the Blackcomb Gondola are located.
The kitchen is fully equipped so we brought groceries at Whistler marketplace and ate breakfast & dinner in our room.
We loved the hot tubs apres ski. We previously went to Scandinave Spa during the summer and kids are not allowed. Therefore, we thought the hot tub and pool at the hotel was a good alternative and value for money in this respect.
We stayed at the one bedroom and it was spacious and our bed was comfortable. The shower was great.
As we drove, we didn't use the shuttle to the whistler village. Anyhow, with 2 small children and full days skiing, we didn't want to go out and we didn't have to :)
We want to rate our stay at 4.5 out of 5 (instead of 4). We felt that they should have provided extra linen/ bedding for the the Queen sofa bed in the living room which we ended up using. Furthermore, the housekeeping was minimal. They only changed our towels and took away the garbage; not sure if this coincided the time when we returned for a short lunch break at around 1:30pm. We only stayed for 3 days/ 2 nights so we couldn't tell if the minimal housekeeping for normal.
Nonetheless, the overall stay was great. Hardware and service were good value for money. We would stay here again.

This is our second time here, we love the option that we have a good size suite for the 4 of us (2 small childrens) the kitchen is pretty good we were able to cook anything there, it's very well equipped, everything is clean and we felt safe during Covid, there's sanitizer everywhere, all the workers there had a mask or face shield, except the guest which l found rude but some people are just like that. The rules were very clear at common areas, (bbq, pool, jacuzzi, elevators) l love the fact the pool is heated and huge, the jacuzzis are pretty big too, l think its a great value. we will definitely coming back and l have recommended the place to friends and family.

We always stay at this hotel for our annual ski trip and this year there were new owners and a new hotel name. There was nothing much of a change in terms of the look of the hotel and rooms. Breakfast now includes a hot option of bacon, scrambled egg and hash browns which were just potatoes! They have done away with the fresh waffles, there isn’t as much selection of cereals, nuts, sultanas or take away fruit but there was a bowl of fresh fruit; chopped melon and grapes. The worst bit is that they have stopped putting out fresh cookies on an afternoon at reception - BIG negative as they were lovely and a real treat after a hard days skiing! There is tea, coffee and hot chocolate free throughout the day however the machines don’t keep it warm enough, a nice idea though. The pool and jacuzzis were lovely, fresh towels and well maintained. We had a leaking bath tap which we reported 3 times to reception which was never fixed, and we had to ask for a cleaner to change our bed sheets on day 5 which should have been done on day 3. To be fair our bed was made everyday from that point on. We asked for a quotation to stay there again next year but never received it, we then spoke to the Customer Services Manager who said she would do it but we are still waiting! To say we stay there every year you would have thought that they wanted to keep customers coming back. Ski to door which is great and the bus is every 10/15 mins to take you to the shops/restaurants. The journey only takes 15 mins but you can walk or take one of the gondolas down. Would recommend this hotel although in spite of the rooms having a refurb we found them to be a bit dull and dark, they need more colour and light!

I have been coming to this hotel over 9 years and have been through a couple of property management changes. I have written a couple of very positive reviews as I have been very impressed. But this time it has been very disappointing experience and I'm not sure I will return.
Don't get me wrong the property location is a huge asset, especially for an avid skier. You are right on slopes and when you return, there is a a couple of hot tubs waiting for you. The one positive change is the breakfast, if you opt in for it. It is about $24 CADs and for that every single morning you have the same selection of couple of cereals, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon. There is also assortment of muffins and couple of breads that you can select from and toast Also some marmalade, peanut butter and butter. It is decent hot breakfast. Accompanied with coffee, apple and orange juice, hot chocolate when machine works.
Now as far as the staff and service - very disappointing, they don't really care, they even don't pretend, for them it is just motion, Upon arrival I was fortunate that my room was available and clean, which I cannot say for a couple more travelers. And there were a few more through out my stay, where they had to more rooms several times. The common area is not well maintained, they run out of cups, leave wet floors, which again become safety hazards.
Rooms are good size and kept up OK, mine had bathroom bulbs that didn't work, bathroom fan was making noise as it was obstructed and the radio / alarm clock was covered in some grease.
I know this new management company has been managing the property for month and half, but that should be no excuse for poor behavior and employees saying over and over that they don't know as they have been working for a few days / weeks at the property.
Also as it happened, and as a few of us pointed out to the staff the stairs into their ski locker were not maintained there was ice and snow on them which made them very unsafe. But nothing was done, until one evening coming from slope, in my ski boots, I flew down the stairs and sprained my ankle. After talking to several of employees, one finally decided to clean the ice off! Furthermore at that time I also learned that the property did not have first aid kit at the hotel.
Today is my second day since I flew down the stairs and there has not been one inquiry by the hotel as to how I was doing! Nothing. I'm gad I'm leaving tomorrow and will strongly discourage anyone from coming to this location.

We arrived on 27th Dec and stayed until 6th Jan. This is a great location as it is literally 5vmetres from exiting the building to standing on the slope with skis on. We asked to move rooms to the back of the hotel as I am a very poor sleeper so need total peace and darkness. Hugh on reception was brilliant at facilitating this. The apartment was well appointed and there is easy access to good washers and drivers. The bus service to town is very regular and free. The Jacuzzi not working properly was disappointing as it was jot fixed for a number of days, but that is our only gripe. The breakfast is very good, staff helpful and location is great. Whistler itself is very expensive, 1000 CAD for a 1 day ski lesson for 3which is 6 hours, which we felt to be extortionate. We were told that prices have rocketed since Vail resorts bought Whistler, and this appeared true. However as a place to stay our view was this was a great hotel, and better than being in town...

We called the property to book and were helped by Ben, he was very friendly, professional and helpful. Check-in was pleasant, nice staff and clearly a beautiful property. Room (2 Bedroom suite) was great for our stay with our 3 kids (teens). The room was clean, the view; nature / mountain which was wonderful. The pool and hot tubs (2) area is great, it was frequently being cleaned (leaves from trees / flowers etc) and kept tidy. The entire property was clean, we felt safe and comfortable and we all truly enjoyed our stay. We all enjoyed table tennis outside and with the excellent location, hikes / walks are so easy to enjoy. Also as it was my husbands birthday, they made it extra special for him. Much appreciated - we will be back, in fact, we booked today :-)

The staff were friendly and the facilities were reasonably clean. The charge was heavily discounted and the place is decently close to Lost Lake and Olympic Plaza. In the room the kitchen was nicely stocked and the soaps smelled good. There is no air conditioning however, and it was very hot during our stay. There was only one window which we left open all the time--and which didn't really help. It made getting a good sleep difficult. The hotel ad said there would be a fireplace but it didn't work (it was too hot to use it anyways but we would have liked the option). We were also told there would be hand sanitizer in the room but they later said that it was no longer offered.

The location is up the hill, away from the village, so it's away from the hustle and bustle of the village. Even though it may cost a bit more than those at or near the village, but the use of the pool and the quietness more than compensate for it. There's a free shuttle bus (Bus 5) that is scheduled every 30 mins that shuttle between the hotel and the base village. All the rooms are equipped with a full kitchen, best to save money by bringing your own food to cook. The place is clean. The pools are warm. The staff are friendly and helpful. Since our bus to Vancouver was scheduled for 4pm, I asked for a delayed check-out time from 10am to 2pm, we were charged a very reasonable ~$30 (including tax) for the delayed option and were abel to continue with the extended use of the pool facilities for the extra afternoon. It was perfect.

The suite we booked was cozy and the perfect place to recharge for a night. It is far enough from the village to be quiet and peaceful, but there is also a free shuttle bus that picks up/drops off right in front of the hotel, so its the best of both worlds. Parking is a little on the expensive side ($25.99 per night with taxes). The one bedroom suite we had booked was fully stocked with everything you could need in terms of kitchenware and even had a dishwasher. Would stay again if ever back in Whistler.

We had the most wonderful staycation at Blackcomb Spring Suites. The buildings and grounds were clean, maintained and easily assessable. Our one bedroom suite, was clean, had all the comforts of home, with cool crisp air, and a mountain view. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and had a genuine ‘ we are here to help you anyway we can’. With always needing to be COVID minded, we felt very secure and safe at Blackcomb Springs Suites. The pool area Covid lady Marina, stood out in our minds, she was professional, courteous, and had an sense of awareness for the guests concerns about this new life Covid lifestyle. She was always cleaning, wiping down stuff, and ensuring the guidelines put place were being met. I could see it was not a easy task at times, her ability to be friendly and diplomatic was astounding!
The price was very reasonable and the free shuttle down to the village and back was an added bonus!
We will definitely reserve a 3, 5 night stay there again.
Thank you Thank you for being a 5 star for us.
