Detailed Reviews
My husband and I stayed two nights at the Hilton Whistler and selected this hotel, purely on the price point at booking. We had a king bed room in the South tower on the 4th floor. The room was clean and the bed relatively comfortable - the pillows were amazing and I wish I could've taken one home!). The hotel is right by the gondola which was a great location.
With all the COVID precautions in place, there is no daily maid service. It is sanitized upon arrival and then you are responsible for making your beds and such, however, you can ask for extra shampoo etc. when you see the staff in the hallways. Masks are required in all public areas and in fact we were surprised how busy the hotel and village was during mid week and were wearing our masks full time!
The pool/hot tub area has to be pre-booked in advance and you are given a 2 hour time slot. I went between 4 - 6 pm on a Wednesday and it was packed! So many kids in the pool and way over the allowable limit; there is no policing on the numbers though. And there is only a two person limit in the hot tub area and the couple that was there didn't care that others may have wanted to use the hot but as well. During these COVID times people need to be cognizant that others may want to use the amenities and not be so selfish!!
There is a resort fee of $25 which I think is to cover the crappy internet.
Parking is $35 per day but we parked at the convention centre for $15.
Even though I had a few gripes it was a nice visit overall;

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your most recent stay with us here at Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa. We do take pride in our service, our hotel location, and the comfort of our guestrooms, so we were delighted to read that you had an enjoyable experience. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and we're very sorry that you were also unhappy with several aspects of your stay. We strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere in our pool area, our pricing as competitive as possible with other hotels in Whistler, but have clearly fallen short of meeting your expectations on this occasion. We will be passing on your comments for review as a teachable moment to help improve future stays. Again, we appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back to our resort in the near future. Warm regards, Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa Team

My son and I stayed at this property twice this summer, totalling three weeks in total. Our first visit the beginning of July was when venturing out of your house was not something you took lightly but working from “home” meant we could look at somewhere more exciting. We had stayed here previously so we knew the location and the access to the lifts for biking would ensure a lap could be done during lunch break and then plenty of time for a few more after work taking in the time difference. I researched their covid protocols and we felt it was doable so we had a great two weeks staying in the Alpine Suite. No one entered our room during this time and towels changes were done as requested. We had breakfast included in our stay and had stellar service each day for that, as well as when ordering food or drinks whilst sitting at the pool. The occupancy rate was quite low during this time so we really enjoyed our stay. In fact we decided to come back again beginning of September and again the Alpine Suite was ours. This time it was busier so they had you schedule pool times but if there was openings for the time after or before you they were very happy to let you stay on. I witnessed them doing a deep clean of the chairs and tables in between the time slots and they also implemented mandatory masks for everyone when in public spaces. When we walked in for breakfast our first day Connie greeted us and remembered exactly what we would order, right down to providing a take away cup of coffee for my son. That is service you don’t find anywhere else! We are gold (son) and Diamond ( me) members with Hilton and I felt they really valued our loyalty as well as being return guests and went out of their way to welcome us back. I don’t take travel lightly these days and I would happily return to this hotel.

I was debating on 3 or 4 stars. If I could have, it would have been 3.5!
The room was spacious and clean and we loved the balcony. The location can’t be beat and overall the hotel was wel equipped for COVID-19. we felt safe.
What was disappointing to me was the fact they still charged their resort fee! For what? No cleaning services, restricted pool access (and very cold) and bars and restaurants were closed.
I ordered room service for breakfast and they put it in this odious fast food container (That they charge you an extra $5 for and they don’t tell you beforehand) and they leave it at you door??? They don’t even knock loud enough for you to hear them. At some point, I just open my door to see my breakfast sitting there. For the price they charge, this is not acceptable.
Another thing that made ma give a 3* review is their spa! Like seriously Hilton? Looked like this was a massage parlour in with the staff barely speaking English. We found out after the first massage that none of the « therapist » are Registered massage therapist - RMT. I was told by one of them that the RMT school is too expensive! Euh,ok! Ended up canceling my massage.
As I am a very loyal Hilton guest, I might stay at this property if I ever visit the area again...

Our first pandemic hotel stay coincided with a warning from our iconic provincial health officer, who warned the results of the spreading virus could go either way. That’s a view which could be shared about this property.
On the plus side, there were few concerns about the quality of the cleanliness offered. Hilton’s new CleanStay program seems to have provided answers as to where the world’s disinfectant wipes supply has disappeared, as the results of their partnership with Lysol and Chlorox were abundant. We took a Premier Studio seeking a balcony for access to the mountain air. The room was well stocked. Responses from the front desk were prompt and cheerful.
Where this property loses Trip Advisor points, however, is on the pool deck. In a word, it was scary. Though there clearly seemed to be fewer lounge chairs to promote physical distance, that seemed to be the end of the concern. A large sign mandating no more than 15 swimmers in the pool at one time was ignored by parents who seemed oblivious to the fact there were at least twice that many screaming kids at play. The hotel needs to devise a plan that goes beyond a check-in request to limit pool stays to two hours. Leaving an empty bottle of sanitizer at the pool entrance and no staff presence doesn’t cut it either.
Fix that problem, however, and Hilton Whistler is a good value for money stay.

This trap experience started well before i arrived at the hotel. Tons of ad telling you to join their loyalty program, Hilton Honors, and the most ridiculous statement was 'wi-pay' for wifi, actually wifi was free on site. I thought that this was the end of my bad experience, but NEVER. First thing that i noticed was the light. The light was broken in our room, I told that to 5 hotel employees, and after 3 hours someone finally came. after that i decided to check the balcony, and nothing better there, Not only is it so tiny, it has AC noise 24/7 and thought that was all, It is the garbage can view. For facilites the pool was pretty nice, But 50 people go into the deck and only 15 are allowed in the pool, so unless you are thinking to just sunbath, don't go. For sanitation, every room has a seal, as well as lysol wipes are given at garbage cans.

Great stay at Hilton Whistler! Room we stayed in was spacious, very clean and had lots of useful amenities such as a stocked kitchen, dishwasher and an additional wash basin outside the bathroom which was handy when getting ready. Complimentary toiletries seemed of good quality and smelled lovely. COVID precautions in place (wearing a mask in shared spaces etc) and the cleanliness of the areas we visited made me feel comfortable about staying. Front desk were welcoming. Can’t beat the location either! Definitely will stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa on a Saturday night in November. We had an amazing time! The hospitality surpassed what we were expecting during these trying times. Everyone working was wearing a mask, but you could tell that you were greeted with welcoming eyes. Elizabeth at the front desk helped check us in. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and gave me a copy of all of the Covid related protocols in place to help me feel safe at the Resort. She even offered us a late check out which was much appreciated since I didn't need to call for one the next morning. I also met the Manager Chris while checking in. He was very professional and thanked us for staying at the Hilton. Our room was beautifully laid out and extremely clean. There was even a sticker sealing the doorway to inform you that the room had been fully sanitized. We had an awesome time and can't wait to stay again. The Hilton Whistler is definitely my hotel of choice when staying in Whistler!

Dated hotel. Mattress is very comfortable. Front staff are not all friendly. Not good value. The worst thing about this hotel is their in room dining. The food is horrible. They must use a microwave to cook everything. I ordered the steak frites, medium rare - poor steak had the life cooked out of it = horrible. The poutine was just as bad. They described one of their desserts a lava cake, and what I got was not a lava cake. They definitely don’t take any pride in the food they serve. Basically they give you crap and charge you premium prices. Lots of great places to eat in Whistler and this place is not it.
The cleaning people do a good job and the people at the restaurant during breakfast do a good job at cleaning and sanitizing all tables. I was actually impressed with them as they seemed to be understaffed and yet they delivered good service - not a good meal but good service.
Hotel parking in Whistler is around $30-40 per night, this hotel or any hotel, that’s just the going rate. This hotel is walking distance to the village but so is the Westin and most other ones since everything is so close in Whistler.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here. For the same value, you can stay somewhere nicer.

We stayed for 10 nights for a ski holiday and overall our stay at the Hilton was positive.
The exception to this was Gordon on the front desk. We arrived from Australia from a long flight at approximately 11am and approached the front desk looking to check in if our room was available or at least store our luggage and get a shower, fully realising we were early for the checkin time. Gordon Howes was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful, telling us that he couldn’t even begin to process our checkin until 4pm. He was completely inflexible and didn’t even ask us for our booking reservation or surname. We were very tired and just walked off and decided to freshen up in the hotel spa facility bathrooms. In the meantime, my brother in law approached a different front desk attendant (who unfortunately we didn’t get her name to commend), who found out our room was both ready and available now. This is the bare minimum I would expect when checking in. We happily checked in with the other lady who was very helpful.
Once we were checked in we had a great time at the hotel. The breakfast staff were very friendly and very professional. Our maid service did a great job and always asked when was convenient for our room to be cleaned. Even the CBB service was better than Gordon.
On Monday, my pregnant wife had a booking at the Scandinavian Day Spa at 10:15am for a pre natal massage. In anticipation, we called the concierge the night before requesting how to get a car/taxi to the Spa. We were informed that we could not book in advance but if we came down at 9:30 there would be a car ready by 10 to leave. My wife, as requested, approached the concierge desk at 9:30am the next morning. Unfortunately, Gordon was sitting on the desk and once again the headache began. Gordon told my wife that he couldn’t book a taxi and if she came back at 10am he would see what he could do. Frustrated, but taking his word for it, my wife returned at 10am, only to be told that a taxi would be at least 20mins wait. In complete contradiction to what we were told previously by the very helpful concierge staff, Gordon attempted to assert his old school unwillingness to assist a young female client. By the time he recognised his mistake and called the Hilton car back, my wife was quite late to her pre-natal massage appointment which was extremely disappointing given our attempt to be proactive and organise the transportation early.

This place is awesome, great location. Best Eggs Benny I ever had from the restaurant. Front desk was really nice, quick smooth easy check in. You can tell they take cleanliness and COVID seriously, the rooms are sealed off with a blue sticker and you can book the hot tub for 20 mins privately. Our room had a log burning fireplace as well as a breathtaking mountain view. Loved it!!!

Hilton has kitchenette rooms. You can ski out. Gym is ok. Spa was quite good last time i went there. Scandinavian Spa is amazing. Everything is Whistler is rather pricey.
Sorry for delayed response. Cannot remember exact parking fee however it is more or less consistent at all of the hotels. Unaware of Resort tax but if one that too would remain the same throughout the village.
There is currently a lot of snow in the village.
I got a standard corner room in the 3rd floor and it was renovated. Not sure if they finished all floors
