WOW! What can I say about this hotel and location apart from it was fantastic!
We travelled as a family of 4 (2.5 year old and 11 months old) and stayed here as part of our 14 day road trip across the Rockies.
The hotel is in a great location in the Upper Village just a 10 minute walk away from the village centre. There is a shop, liquor store and restaurants and bike hire right outside the main entrance.
The hotel rooms consist of a self catering apartment with a full kitchen and amenities, washing machine and dryer (AMAZING), a dining room table, sofas, huge bedroom and bathroom and a balcony! The room was sparkling clean, felt very homely and the beds were so comfy. We spent 2 nights here but we both wish we had spent longer.
The staff were so helpful and polite. The parking facilities were great and the pools outside were fantastic for children (separate one for adults without children)
The only thing I would say is the outside area around the pool needed a good power wash but literally that was it.
Amazing hotel, amazing location, excellent for families and money. We will be back!

My stay at Embark Whistler was very comfortable. The location in the upper village makes it very easy to walk anywhere. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities. The adult swimming pool is quiet, private and has lots of sun/shade depending on your preference. There are two hot tubs as well. The in-house market carries all those extras that you need. Very comfortable indeed!

This Embarc property is very well located, less than 5 minutes walk in ski boots from the Blackcomb Gondola. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Having the underground parking is an absolute bonus. The room decor is however looking a bit dated now, and on the dark side, it would benefit from redecorating with more contemporary lighter colours.

We have been going to Embarc Whistler for almost 2 decades and little has changed and there have been minimal upgrades to the rooms. Our recent visit in March was by far the worst we have experienced. The Studio Apartment we were in was dirty, there was mold in the sink and mold had grown into the chalking in the bath tub, all the faucets, bathtub, sinks and fixtures were badly scratched and worn out. The bathroom walls had mildew on them and smelled moldy and the walls in the main bedroom were badly scuffed. Many of the buttons on the microwave wouldn’t work. One of the pillows on the bed smelled very musty and mildewy and could not be used. We have been to many roadside motels that have been in better shape than this supposed 4-5 star establishment.
When this issues were brought up to the staff, their response was “sorry that you are not happy, we hope your next stay with us will be better”. There was no offer to clean the room or exchange rooms for one in better shape.
This is extremely surprising especially during COVID times when all other hotels (and even planes) I have visited have gone out of their way to make sure their rooms and services are all exceptionally clean and sanitized-definitely not at Embarc Whistler. I do wonder if the management at Embarc thinks its okay to offer rooms in these conditions as they always sold out so it makes difference to them.

We booked this resort, I use that term loosely, months ago through Interval International. The room we traded for in Kauai at the Marriott, our home resort, is about $600/night. It is a one-bedroom + living room + kitchenette and a full view of the ocean. What we received upon check-in at Embarq was a studio. Yes, we've had studios in the past, but nothing as dark, dirty, and worn out as this room. The queen bed was wedged in between a wall and chairs at the foot with truly no more than 6 inches to pass by to get to the window. There was absolutely no view to speak of. The photos show fireplaces, there was no fireplace in our room. We thought we'd hang out a bit in the lobby which does have a fireplace, but no...that was closed due to renovations. When we requested another room we were told they were fully booked. The manager on night duty at check-in was extremely rude and made no attempt at resolving the situation; other than telling us if she did find another room she'd have to charge us. When we asked them that evening to have a maintenance person come check the toilet as it continued to run we were told due to staff shortages there's no one available to do that type of work. The interesting thing is we saw maybe 4 other people the entire time we...More

We went to Whistler Christmas time pre-COVID. They had a booth where they were giving presentations for an Embarc time share where you could give a deposit for a time share presentation and they would give you a 4-night, 3 days stay at a hotel pretty much in the Whistler village next to the slopes as well as some sort of credit. We paid $199 Canadian for this package. Got an email with our reciept and an email with the voucher shortly thereafter. I gave them all my details (name, phone number, address, etc.) and after the initial receipt that was emailed to me, I never heard back again.
Then COVID took place and Canada basically closed its borders for "a few weeks" that turned into more than 2 years for people from the US who didn't have compelling reason (visiting family, travelling to Alaska, etc.). Tried calling several times, never got through because of extremely long wait times.
Not once did we get any communication (despite them having our contact info). When I did call, they said I had opted out of communication (which I had not) and in the background they had been extending my voucher's expiration date as the pandemic continued. Again, no communication of any kind that this was taking place, and as I had an essential worker in the house, this wasn't entirely a priority.
So when I did call to redeem my voucher, I was told that it had expired and I would need to pay more to use it and if i did pay more, I had to use it by the end of this calendar year.
I know it goes without saying that you should be cautious about time shares and how they are sold, but this entire experience has definitely turned me off from Embarc as a company.

Service was very good. Cleanliness was excellent. The units interior are dated and could use a renovation. Unfortunately we received a room backing up to a main road so it was noisy with the windows open and sitting on the balcony.

Do not use this hotel. Zero star rating would be more accurate. They are cowboys and a disgrace to the Hilton brand. They have overcharged my credit card by CA$280 and refuse to accept that it has happened. I have emailed multiple times and now they are simply ignoring me and not responding. As for the hotel itself, it is dark and dingy with ridiculous see through blinds on full length windows which provide zero privacy and do not block out any light. My experience with this hotel means that I will never again stay at any hotel within the Hilton family. They have lost my business forever.

A mixed bag - this property is in a good position in the resort, it is easy to walk to shops, restaurants and the gondola. We enjoyed the adult pool but were disappointed that the hot tubs didn’t seem to work. Our room was small, dark and cramped. We liked being able to make our own food but couldn’t eat at the table as the only seats were too low. Check in staff could have been friendlier, they did not recognise our Hilton status until we pointed it out, were difficult to understand and did not give us a parking pass. We got more information from the concierge than them.

We loved it. Covid ruins everything in this life, so our Maui trip this year was canceled. We traded for whistler in Interval and felt this was a fair trade. Great people to help with everyrhing and wonderful rooms and proximity to everything in Whistler was worth it. Thank you!

Dear Departure669709,
Thank you very much for your question.
Embarc Whistler is not a ski in / ski out property but we are located only 250 meters away from the Base of Blackcomb a short 3 minutes walk.

Due to the situation around the new Covid-19 continues to evolve, the safety and the well-being of our members and team members are our first priority. A new procedure will be in place for all our members and guests to enjoy the pool facility safely and to ensure the implementation of our new physical distancing measures. Registration is required and can be made with Member Reception or with the available pool attendant. You will be provided with the detailed information upon your check in. However, for more information you may call Embarc Whistler on 604.938.3030.
PardeepH_B is correct. However, be mindful that it could be up to 20 minutes walk to the Village Stroll if you walk slower and if the weather is not optimal. An alternative is to take the complimentary shuttle that runs approximately every 20 minutes, leaving from across the lobby.
Hello baslillegard,
As stated by some members of the tripadvisor community already, parking is underground and complimentary when staying at the Resort. The rule is one car per bedroom, so if you have a two-bedroom Vacation Home reserved, you can park two vehicles. Be mindful that there is a height limit, which is 6'9", so if you have a tall vehicle or carry a box, you will need to find alternate arrangements, which most likely will come at an additional cost.
