Prices were totally jacked up for US travelers on an US holiday weekend. Upon arrival we were informed we had to also pay a $250 damage deposit (like we were 20 and on Spring Break) and we also had to pay $30.00 a NIGHT for parking and no guarantee we would even have a spot to park. There was NO room cleaning service, fridge had dints and a scratches, toilet barely flushed and we paid $1220.57 for Two Nights for Two Adults. Will Never stay there again. The Nita Lodge is far superior and offers a free shuttle for the 2 mile drive to Whistler Village

Hi there, the $250 damage deposit is policy for all our guests, we do not do it specifically based on age. We have plenty of parking in our underground parkade, also the parking is a 3rd party company so we have no control over the price. Whistler village hotels don't clean rooms every night unless upon request due to previous Covid restrictions. The hotel in Creekside you mentioned is far out of the main village whereas we are in the heart of Whistler.

First holiday in Canada, so wanted to make it easy stayed at the blackcomb lodge because you are within walking distance to book mountains lift ski rental is inside the hotel, the room have a fully stocked kitchen if you want to prepare your own food and are clean . Warm and nicely decorated , every member of the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful . Thanks to everyone at the Blackcomb Lodge. We enjoyed the indoor pool hot tub and sauna very much. I have returned to whistler again with my family and have chosen to stay at the Blackcomb Lodge again. The hotel is only a few minutes from the gondola, supermarket and bars making the location very convenient. They have made significant renovations to the interior. There are brand new marble kitchen counter tops and new marble bathroom counters which gives the lodge an attractive edge. There are blackout drapes in each room which allows for privacy. After skiing each day it is great to come back to a heated indoor pool, sauna and hot tub which allowed me and my family to relax. There are state of the art locks on every room and hotel entrance. The staff were extremely approachable and friendly making us all feel very welcome. They all went the extra mile to make sure our stay was really enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Do NOT stay at this hotel. Do not be tricked by the location. The service from Benny and the front desk lady was the worst customer service I have received from a hotel in my entire life. We spent just shy of $3k for one night and from the moment we stepped in to the hotel it was a hostile environment. We paid $150 for early checkin and were told one room wasn’t finished because of a drain issue but to wait 10 minutes. We wait at least 20 minutes and when we entered it was filthy. Left over food in the fridge, hair all of the beds and bathroom, and mould and shampoo all over the tub. When we called to ask for the room to be properly cleaned they first told us that it was our fault for rushing them and what did they want us to do about the hair? At 9:50am the next morning we got a call saying if you aren’t at the front desk at 10am sharp it is $35 late check out. We were out by 9:55am. When confronting Benny and the front desk lady about our poor experience, we began to walk to the elevator to leave and Benny goes up to other guests and starts talking to them about us and our all details. I turned back and told him it is extremely inappropriate to talk about us to other guests. He then starts getting extremely hostile with us and I have it on video of him saying “F you” to me and my family. This place is an absolute dump and the people working there are even worse. Pay the extra $100-$200 and stay anywhere but here. We heard from several other guests how they had the same experience. We should have read the reviews more clearly. Learn from our mistake.

We apologize for the inconvenience. You made the reservation for two suites that have a maximum occupancy of 6 adults but the booking you made was only for 3 people in each suite, then you arrived with 12 people. The front desk asked you to pay the additional guest fee for 6 people but you refused to pay. Then you started bargaining to pay only 30 Canadian dollars which is only 22 USD. You were so rude to the front desk agent as she was south Asian and she felt that your behavior was absolutely racist as you are white and entitled. Canada is a very inclusive country and we don’t see racism as much here as compared to the US You made her so uncomfortable that all she could do was cry on both days when you checked in and when you checked out. You chose our hotel because we our pricing lies in the mid-range which is comparatively affordable than others. With all due respect Whistler is not a cheap place to come to ski and its only for people who can afford it and don’t bargain with the prices. Here in Canada business is different from USA. Businesses have to follow policies related to fire code, insurance liability and occupancy, therefore there are a set of rules in place by the Municipality to protect both the guests and the hoteliers. You decided not to follow any of the rules which were clearly mentioned to you and you signed the registration form upon check-in which stated all of them. You also received an email confirmation stating to register each individual guest. The front desk called you about the noise complain at 3 am as all 12 of you were in room 217 making a lot of noise which disturbed other guest. Your entire group has given us bad reviews all together to cause damage to our reputation. We’ve experienced people give bad reviews but still come to our hotel due to our affordable pricing, but since you do not want to follow any policies, we recommend you to take your business somewhere else. This reply is for all your others friends as well who acted in the same way and have posted a bad review .

Do not stay at this hotel!! This hotel felt like a prison and the manager only cares about money and scamming people.
We came for a friends birthday and we wanted to check in early , so we were told it would be $10 a person to check in at 11 am and when we arrived 30 minutes after the check in time we were told and our rooms were filthy. Hairs all over the sheets , old food in the fridge, 1 facecloth and 3 towels for 5 REGISTERED guests. When we called the front desk to tell them our room was not cleaned the manager came up stairs and said they were rushing because we checked in early and they were not ready and he said the rooms were cleaned which they were not. So why charge $10 A PERSON if our rooms were not done and make us feel bad about checking in early after paying.
Check out was at 10 AM , the manager Benny called us at 9:50am saying that he will charge us if we are not out of the room now.. what awful customer service.
When checking out , he proceeded to yell at my brother calling him “cheap” after spending 3k at this dump of a hotel. In fact, Benny is the cheap one charging us for every single thing he possibly can. He also told My brother to “F*** Off” in the middle of the lobby in front of other guests and then proceeds to talk badly about him to other guests.
This was the worst experience I have ever had in Whistler and I have been many many times. I hope no one ever stays here because the manager Benny deserves no business when someone treats paying guests like that.

Just don’t book here, look elsewhere. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, my friends and I’s experiences were awful. We paid extra for an early check-in at 11am. We arrived at 12:30pm to a room that didn’t seem to be cleaned yet. Leftover food in the fridge, hairs in the beds and on the pillows. Hairs and shampoo left in the shower. I called guest services who answered with “hello, what do you want?” I asked for someone to please come finish/start cleaning our room. The woman on the phone told me it was our fault because we rushed them and we came to the room before we should have. A man came to the room (didn’t introduce himself, we thought maybe he was maintenance) and asked for us to show him all the problems. He grabbed the hairs out of the bed and said “what else do you want me to do”. He told us he would send someone in to clean the room while we went for an hour walk. When we returned, the room hadn’t been touched. In the morning while packing up and tidying the room, we received a call from the lobby at 9:50am basically threatening we better be in the lobby by 10am or we will be charged a late check out fee. I’ve never encountered this type of “service” in my life. Once we were checking out, it became so hostile that the “maintenance/manager/owner” began yelling at my friend in front of other guests. This has left an extremely sour experience for the entire weekend and Whistler in general. Really wish we spent the extra money for a proper hotel stay with any sort of respect for their guests (or at least somewhere with clean sheets). If you want any indication on who you’ll be dealing with at this hotel, read the manager’s responses to the negative reviews he receives. Despicable.

Room was basic and needs a lift. A coat of paint and removing all the tape from the leftover signs taped to the fridge would be a start.
The room was freezing cold. I was a little nervous to call the desk based on the previous reviews and comments. The printed instructions say to leave the unit set at 66. I’m hoping that was for the summer!
Check in is 4 pm but for 50.00 they would get my room ready early. I declined. Keys were provided at 3:55 pm. There were a few people waiting for keys. It feels like everyone was held till 4 pm whether the room was ready or not.
Contract had to be signed that covered everything from $5.00 charge for lost key (plastic card) to who was in the room, damage deposits and parking. The ambiance is like checking into a dorm!
We moved hotels for the last night due to availability and our room was ready when we arrived at. 1230 and we gained access at that time, No paper signs on the door and no buzzers to get in. What a difference!
The kids working at checkin and throughout the hotel were extremely nice. People checking in didn’t give them any grief and just accepted the craziness of the situation.
I wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel has the best location in all of Whistler! Once you park, everything you want to do is walking distance! Hotel room was newly updated and spacious for our family. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We asked for an oven pan and fan for the lift area, both were delivered within minutes after asking. We will definitely coming back to this location in the future!!

The location and the friendly staff in my opinion are the good things about this hotel.
The check in is extremely late! 4pm is an absurd. They don’t even have a properly lobby or bathrooms if you wanna wait until you can go in your bedroom.
The bedroom is fine for a 3 stars hotel, but I found dirty dishes so made me wonder if they actually cleaned the bedroom, I hope at least sheets and towels were fresh. AC is too noisy.
Pool, hot tube and sauna are good but there is not enough space around them.
They say that you can message them but they never answer you back.
They charged $250 on my credit card as a security deposit but I never got the transaction canceled, I already contacted them 3 times but no answer. They said was going to be only a pre authorization but I was actually charged, and since I didn’t break anything I shouldn’t have been charged!!!

Hi there, sorry that you felt that way but there are no dirty dishes in our rooms here but we keep the dishes in the dishwasher for sanitary purposes since covid. We already have signs displayed everywhere that we do not have any public washrooms in the lobby , but there are washrooms in the very next building. The damage deposit is released automatically when you check out so please follow up with your bank and the credit card company to release it and please do not make any accusations about us keeping your money. Thank you for choosing us we hope to make your stay better next time.

We had a brilliant stay in Blackcomb Lodge in one of the family suites. The lodge is centrally located, an easy walk from slopes, lifts, shops and bars and restaurants in town.

The room was big and comfortable with a galley kitchen which was handy, as no food served in the Lodge (but plenty of bars and restaurants nearby)(and an expensive grocery shop across the square).

The hotel has a small pool, hot tub and sauna which are very refreshing after a day’s skiing. Towels provided.

Skis and boards are kept in reception overnight and access is controlled with key cards.

The team were friendly and helpful and sorted any requests, like extra towels and blankets.

I would definitely recommend Blackcomb Lodge for anyone visiting Whistler. We would definitely stay again.

Hi Stephanie, My apologies. Can I suggest coming to talk to the front desk please and we can go from there? We can definitely have maintenance come and look at your window, but from your posted question I don't know which room you're in. Thanks, Phil Manager

Thanks Danni G and Hi Lelly57, That is correct, the fridges are half size, so definitely bigger inside than your typical hotel bar fridge. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate! Best regards, Phil Guest Services Manager

Do the loft rooms have DVD players in them? Also can you rent snowshoes on site?
Answer from Breandan M

Hi smkasper, We have removed the DVD players from all of the rooms in the building as they're seldom used nowadays, but we still have some and can certainly be setup in the room is requested. We don't rent snowshoes ourselves, but we can definitely point you in the right direction! Please don't hesitate to contact us for more information. Best regards, Phil Guest Services Manager
Answer from Breandan M

Hi Nic, Apologies for the late reply. Unfortunately we do not have that type of equipment. I was looking into the potential rental of something with a company we use and they have them, but they are 'pressure-mounted,' and not rated to be at the top of stairs, so I can't exactly recommend their use. If you need any further information, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Best regards, Phil Guest Services Manager
