We have been to Whistler over 10 times and have stayed at Whistler hotels as well as Blackcomb condos. This is by far the best place we've stayed because of the responsive staff, quiet, spacious and well laid out living quarters and location, location and location. The location was particularly helpful with small kids in ski school.

You check in/out at the beginning/end of your stay, at the Sundial hotel which is next door. All the locks are combinations so you never have to carry around a key.

The ski lockers and parking are in the basement, although we didn't use the parking facilities. It was easy to go in and out of the ski lockers. There is no swimming pool or Jacuzzi facilities but we typically don't use them anyway. Housekeeping comes every 3 days at a time you specify. They will text you notes and if you need anything you can text or call.

In particular Ceris, Robbie, Rach C, Roxy and Kyle were very helpful. We would definitely come back!!

We had suite 305. The location is great, the view of the base of the mountain and village is great and you can check the gondola queue from the window. The kitchen is a bit old, some of the furniture is a bit dated and there were some stains on the carpet, this may bother some people. But, the convenience was great. Has a washer and dryer, dishwasher and fireplace (but you only get one fire log, so will have to purchase more for I think, $5 each). Beautiful Aveda shower products were supplied. Don't forget to bring a spare lock for the snowboard lockers (or you can buy one at the local hardware store). Undercover parking was quite expensive. Housekeeping often left cute little notes which was a nice touch and certainly put a smile on my face!

We (me and my husband and our 4 daughters ages 10, 10, 14, 16) booked suite 305 through VRBO. Originally, it stated that the suite sleeps 6, but after the arrival we realized that it only sleeps 5. So we had to get creative and make a bed for our older daughter. We pulled two sofas together and made her pretty comfy bed lol. The suite is very spacious with fully equipped kitchen, one of the bedrooms has bunk bed (one person on top bunk and two on the bottom bunk), the other bedroom has a king size bed with a window and bench so you can enjoy the views. Family room has two sofas, table for 4, fireplace, and adjusent kitchen. The suite has two bathrooms, one with the shower and the other jacuzzi tub. The water pressure was amazing, so most of us took long showers after skiing all day and it was very relaxing. The suite also has a balcony and family room has window with benches as well, everything overlooks the mountain and Whistler Village base gondola. Just really breathtaking views. The suite has once every three day room service. So we got ours on the last day of our stay. Otherwise ther suite has its own laudnry so it is not a problem to wash your own towels. The trash chute was right across the room. We liked keypad system to the room, from the garage and into the building in general. Felt very safe. Someone mentioned loud music from the bar beneath. We were not bothered by it at all and it usually calmed down early enough before everyone went to sleep. The best thing about this lodge is the location. You get downstairs and you have access to everything - Whistler kids ski school, base of gondola / lift chair, rental. You name it! Definately going to stay there again whenever we are there. Totally would recommend it!!!

Last minute booking as our flight to Banff was cancelled on the same day. Hotel is in an excellent location behind the Excalibur ski lifts with free underground parking directly below the hotel. While check-in is at the Sundial Hotel across from it as the Carleton has no lobby, the room we stayed in, while dated, was fine for us as it was a large suite with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, laundry machines, fireplace and a balcony looking into the square below. No key or card was needed as entry into the hotel and room was via a keypad so excellent for not having to look for it under many layers of ski clothing or remember who has the key/card when going out. This was perfect for us as my wife and I can be in one place while our son at another and all have access to the room. Can highly recommend the Carleton Lodge, saved our 2022 Christmas, and will be our go to hotel at Whistler from now on!

Great location, room was fine, but Unit 202 was noisy from the music and base beat from the bar below until late every night. it was not a pleasant experience. I would book in the hotel, but make sure you get a room on another floor. I am not sure if it was just this room, or all rooms that experience the noise.

We stayed at the Carleton on family day long weekend, and were very pleased with the service and location. Check-in was quick and easy (thanks Thomas!), and the underground parking allowed us to bring everything up to our suite quickly. It is steps from the gondola, so easy to access the mountain. While the suite could use some updating, it was clean and a good family space for the weekend.

You should explain the check-in process and parking more easily in advance. People don't really see what's written in small letters in emails. I called your hotel phone number on the website, but nobody doesn't answer. Even though I was staying in Carlton, I had to call the Sundial Hotel if I had anything to ask.I was really disappointed that I couldn't use the hot tub. Only the guests of the Sundial Hotel can use it? You're a company only for the Sundial Hotel guest. I felt like I was being ignored. The room was too old and smelled stale. And obviously, we booked a room for four people, but we didn't have enough blankets. Even the TV didn't connect well, so I had to turn it off eventually. I wasted more than a thousand dollars on a messy hotel like this!

We were a party of 11 staying in a extra large duplex in late July during a heatwave. The a/c was very uneven. Arctic cold in one room and simultaneously hot in another room, but this is not what led to the three star rating. The arrival was really stressful because they did not give us adequate instructions for check in. Communication was not great. If we did not call a couple of days before, we would not have known that parking was for only one car. We had three cars. The other problem is that a number of things were missing from the place or didn't work. But it is in a very good location and we had a perfect view of the mountain.

Location is great, especially for those who want to use lift for either ski or mountain bike, as it is right by it. Accommodations are spacious. Clean but slightly dated . decor. Excellent parking. Overall I would return.
