We stayed at this location twice. Each time we had a very good stay. The free breakfast was awesome. The price of the stay was very reasonable. We have been staying at this location every year for the last 15 years and we have never been disappointed.

We booked the jacuzzi suite which was hard to do online but quick and easy over the phone. Room was great and conformable and a great weekend getaway! Bed was comfy and we had everything we needed for our stay.

Stayed as a couple for a couple of days in summer of 2023. The room we had was comfortable, laid out nicely for 2, with a slightly firm sofa-bed and armchair making hanging around the room tenable. Mattress was comfortable; very nice duvet was a bonus. Any staff we encountered were pleasant and obliging, at the desk, and especially the morning breakfast bar. Good access to the Trans-Canada east or west, and to the North; not so much to the south part of Brandon. Other things we did, unfortunately, note: the bathroom fan was LOUD, the shower/tub diverter was nail-breaking tough, and the HVAC both loud and difficult to manage in terms of getting the room to a comfortable temperature. We also got a whiff of that ‘burning dust’ smell when we turned the heat on briefly, but admittedly, it was probably the first time in months that the heat had been required. We also found that much of the food ran out before hitting the end of the nominal ‘open until 9:00 am’ time slot. Good value for the quality of the hotel. Conveniently located just off the Trans Canada highway. The staff while friendly, didn't seem to have any empathy in regards to the fact we were physically handicapped, they wouldn't take the required steps to have non- handicapped vehicles removed from the clearly marked handicapped parking spots.

Lakeview hotel is a nice large size hotel just off highway one east corner of 18th street. Staff are friendly and cooperative ! There was once a nice indoor pool but was removed due to a maintenance issue and replaced with a sitting room for breakfast, lounging . As this hotel has been established for a few years now, it has become outdated, a refresh is needed, newer furniture, paint etc. The morning breakfast was nice- continental with a good choice of food selection.

The area was short on rooms so I was able to stay here in a smoking room, I am a non smoker, but sometimes you have to take what you can get. The price was the same as other hotels that offered a corporate rate. They do not clean or attend your room if your are only a short term stay. I was there for 8 days with no one ever entering my room. I took my old towels to the front desk and got new ones myself. This was my second time staying at this hotel and the first experience was fine but you can't win all the time!

Teens screaming and slamming doors kept us awake for a while. We sternly told them to shut up, or we would call front desk. Phone in room had no dial tone so did not call front desk. No 2 queen beds available so one of us had to sleep on an old pullout. The pullout couch looked old, worn and dusty. The hallway carpets were stained. Coffee pouches from previous guest still in coffee maker - it's the little details that count! Place needs a refresh! Wifi was sketchy at best

We travelled as a family of 4 with our softball team for a National Championship that was a week long. This comprised of approximately 14 families plus the team. From the start we were told that they would not be cleaning our room as we are a “short term stay” and we would be responsible for getting our own towels and toilet paper. Given the fact that we are a sports team, fresh towels daily is the least that could have happened. When we asked for more towels at the front desk, we were talked down to stating, “we’re running out of towels”. The front desk staff was rude in their interactions with us. Many times the staff yelled at us to “be quiet” even though we were in the lobby where there are couches and a TV (seemingly an area for socialization). We walked on pins and needles worrying the entire trip if we were upsetting the hotel staff. Worst of all, a housekeeper did not come in once to clean our bathrooms or vacuum ANY of the rooms. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a sports team for long stays. There are too many constraints/issues to even list.…

I had the most amazing experience at this hotel. Nelson and Sherry were amazing at getting my son & I into a room after having just checked out of another neighbouring hotel because it was filthy dirty. I came to Lakeview late at night, stressed, emotional and very tired after a long day of driving. However, they went above and beyond to help my son and I out. I had a great experience and rest. I am grateful and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone that’s staying in Brandon, MB!!
