Definitely the best place to stay in Churchill. Rooms are very clean - no complaints at all and the family that owns the hotel is lovely. Sea North tours is also owned and operated by this group. We did a few tours and they were all excellent. If you want to see Beluga whales and polar bears this is the place to visit.
Churchill is very difficult to book during the month of October. I phoned the manager of Polar Inn, she helped me to book the night I wanted. The checked in staff was very helpful and the room was nice and clean. Polar Inn included the breakfast, I really enjoyed the breakfast. The front desk can also book North Star tours. It was a excellent tour and I really enjoyed it. Thank you Jonathan. The best driver and guide. Thank you so much Polar Inn. What a wonderful memory in Churchill.
This is a highly recommend hotel in Churchill. I travel with family, org, we order a room with 2 queen bed and extra bed because I have 3 people to travel. But the lady is kind enough to let us know after 2 day we stay will have a big room with 3 bed for us, if we want to change. The room is big, clean and comfort. So appreciate, their service and let us change the room. The room is also surprise us too.
We had such a positive experience at the Polar Inn! Shuttle from the train station was prompt, check in was welcoming and smooth. Staff were prompt and pleasant to attend to any concerns or issues- like cleaning up after my spill in the lobby. The room was very clean, beds comfortable. Our grandkids loved the beluga and polar bear pillows. The continental breakfast had good variety, waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit and muffins. The breakfast room was super clean. (Due to covid there were only 2 restaurants in open in town and neither served breakfast). Our stay here helped make our adventure to Churchill a grand success.
Due to Covid, we decided to stay in the kitchen suite which was very clean, updated, large and had all the amenities needed for our stay. We cooked a majority of our meals and enjoyed the cozy room reading or watching Netflix after long days of touring in search of polar bears which did not disappoint! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It is located in the heart of the town with the grocery and Liquor store next door and restaurants nearby. I would consider this as one of the better accommodations available in Churchill as most others are more basic. The Polar Inn will not disappoint.
We had a great stay in the kitchen suite. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, great wifi, and wonderful hospitality. We rented a truck and saw belugas and polar bears. The museum is a must to see carvings and to read the fascinating stories that go along with them as well as kayaks and weapons. There were fewer restaurants open in September so the kitchen was great to have. September is off season so self touring is necessary but easy enough to do so. The landscape was colourful and powerful. Go visit, it’s a trip like no other.
We were super thrilled with our experience at the Polar Inn. The staff went above and beyond for my family. They show genuine interest and care for their guests. It's owned and operated by a really lovely family who are very knowledgeable about the area. We rented a suite and a standard room and both were great. Decor was cute and the kitchenette suite was really handy. The hotel offers shuttles and has a tour company on site which is fantastic for people without vehicles. You never have to worry about transportation and the tours offered are worth the money! We managed to see polar bears and whales all on the same trip! The hotel is centrally located with the train, restaraunts, and a grocery store only a few feet away. Due to Covid-19 the kitchen area for breakfast was closed, however the Giftshop was stocked with amazing treasures to take home with you. If you're looking for the best place to stay in Churchill, this is the place! I can't wait to come back and stay at the Polar Inn again soon! Our stay here made our trip a dream come true!…
My partner and I traveled to Churchill in July. The rooms were clean and the hotel was nice and quiet despite many people staying long term. The family who owns the hotel was really nice and was more than happy to answer any questions and offer advice when we wanted it! The shuttle from the airport was helpful, also. It is a short walk from the train station and is centrally located so its a short walk to get anywhere. We didn't have any complaints and really enjoyed our stay here!
Just returned from a trip to view the Northern LIghts. This is a very nice hotel with all your basic needs. Clean rooms, heat, hot water, very nice staff, cute little gift shop. The breakfast room was always well stocked with muffins, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, toast, etc. very pleasant stay
On a recent trip to Churchill Manitoba to see the polar bears we spent a night at the Polar Inn. It was clean, and the family that owns and runs the place could not have been nicer or more helpful. They held our bags for us as checkout is at 10:00 am and we didn’t take the train back to Winnipeg until 7:30 at night. And as our room was by the back door we were only steps away from our favorite restaurant in town.
