Detailed Reviews
Overall: We very much enjoyed the Town of Churchill and the Tundra Inn is the perfect place to stay. The location was nice (not that Churchill is a massive town), the rooms were large and clean. The hotel offered complimentary airport pick up and drop off, as well as complimentary use of their laundry facilities. The Tundra Inn Pub had beautiful local dishes that were exceptionally good! The only major issue was the internet, it was extremely slow when it was working.
Pros: The rooms weren't anything fancy, but they were clean and large. The bathroom was a bit dated too, but clean. The airport pick up/drop offs were a nice touch. The hotel is situated just behind the town's main supermarket, making a quick shopping run easy. The Tundra Inn Pub was wonderful! The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was local, exceptionally nice and very reasonably priced. The hotel also let you do your laundry free of charge if you need to.
Cons: The only major con was the internet. It would work slowly when the majority of guests were out for the day, but when they returned in the evening you couldn't even log on. It made staying in touch with the outside world a bit difficult. Breakfast was also served very early and for only a short period of time (6:30-8 am). It would have been better to extended it til 9 am, so that guests could sleep in a bit. The price of the hotel was also quite high, but Churchill is very seasonal so this is somewhat understandable.
Overall: I would return to the Tundra Inn. The food alone is reason to return! Our stay was memorable and enjoyable.

This little hotel is a fine place to stay. It is homely and informal. My room was spotlessly clean, and had everything I needed. The temperature control worked perfectly, keeping the room at just the right warmness. It wasn't like a fancy downtown hotel - it was simple, genuine and welcoming. The owners are delightful. Belinda picked me up from the station before dawn, and greeted me with a huge bear hug - maybe because we are both from Australia. People around the town spoke highly of Parker and Belinda as lovely people. Friends who booked in elsewhere complained of noise and some unruliness, but none of that at Tundra. Quiet, relaxed and ... well, exactly what I wanted in this beautiful far away place.

The Tundra inn is well located in center of town and has good hot water. The WIFI was ok and the housekeeping and service were erratic. Some staff were delightful others were having a very bad day. Same with housekeeping. Some days beds were made and towels changed, other day room was barely touched.
There are ot many choices for hotels in Churchill so you can consider this one, just keep your expectations low.

When we return to Churchill, we’ll definitely stay at the Tundra Inn again.
Some details as to why:
- very clean. I stay in a lot of hotels, and this is my number one priority.
- comfortable. It’s not 5-star accommodations, but nothing is in Churchill. However, the bed was comfortable with no sag in the mattress (more than can be said for many high-end hotels in the world), it’s not too small, there’s a desk to work and/or spread computer and camera equipment, and the blinds block most light.
- friendly staff. Everyone was nice, helpful, and smiling even when working long hours.
- airport pickup and drop off was easy and seamless.
- central location. It’s in the middle of all things Churchill. Both Tundra Buggy and Sea North tours picked up within a block of this hotel making it quick and easy. The grocery story is a block away (fridge in room). The Complex entrance is two blocks away. The train station is a few blocks away. A beach view of the bay is two blocks away.
- best food in town is across the street at their Tundra Pub.
- continental breakfast included which helped save money plus was exactly what we wanted.
Hotels in Churchill feel like motels, but the Tundra Inn has high-end cleanliness and friendliness, and is a perfect place to stay for a tundra/water adventure in Churchill.

They provide a comfortable room and good place to stay overnight. We had two double beds, excellent condition, everything was clean. Walking distance to everything in town. Restaurant across the street. Wifi sufficient for my needs. Two chairs in the room and very basic desk.

I had the pleasure of visiting Churchill recently. I stayed at the Tundra Inn and had great time. The staff was extremely friendly. They helped me plan my outings and cared about my experiences.
The rooms are very well kept and spacious. The hotel is very clean and inviting.
They also gave a restaurant across the street with great food and drink. The trivia night was lots of fun and the staff was very friendly.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Churchill. Thank you too Belinda & Bailey for a great experience!!

Tundra Inn is only one of only a handful of lodgings available in Churchill and the only one that responded to my inquiries. There were rooms available for the dates I requested. The staff was very helpful and informative. When the train stopped running, the inn emailed me and suggested alternatives and changed our booking dates without charge. Upon checking in, when we discovered that the room smelled of cigarettes smoke, the manager let us choose whichever room we found satisfactory.
This inn is located a little bit off Kelsey ave, Churchill's main road. Most interesting points in town are within walking distance. The town's only grocery store is only yards away. Very convenient. The breakfast room/sitting room is large and comfortable. The breakfast gallery is well stocked. Our room was large and quiet. It was a comfortable 7-day stay all around.

Based on previous reviews, I was expecting a great stay at the Tundra Inn. What exceeded my expectations was the extra service we received. We got shuttle service to and from the airport which was very convenient. Because it was most likely off-season and they were not booked up we were able to check-in early and check-out late to match our flight schedules. This was such a huge benefit! The free WiFi was really good.
Rooms were clean with good amenities. The TV had a decent selection of channels, and there was a mini-fridge in the room. This was helpful due to the off-season for restaurants in town. We could stock-up on snacks and drinks.
There was a free continental breakfast which is basically a shared kitchenette with tons of stuff to choose from.
We plan to go back during a summer visit, and will definitely staff again at the Tundra Inn.

We were very happy with our stay at the Tundra Inn. The staff was welcoming and helpful. They arranged for us to have early check-in and late arrival. Unfortunately the Pub isn't open this time of year, but the Inn had a nice "do it yourself breakfast." There is high speed internet and a TV in the room! They e-mailed us a few days before our arrival and volunteered to pick us up at the train station or airport (we didn't need the ride) and they drove us back to the train upon our departure. Very warm and welcoming! We didn't have a huge choice of hotels since only two were open at that time of year, but we were very happy with our choice!

I visited Churchill in July. A shuttle bus picked me up at the train station. Early check in helped very much. The pub and dining room across the street had great food. All aspects of my stay were good, including a place to store my luggage when I checked out, since the train did not leave until the evening. The Tundra Inn is a good place to stay .

Hi there,
Tundra Inn posts their hotel rates for each season on their website. I can't post the link here but you should be able to find it by searching for "Tundra Inn Hotel Rates"
The Tundra Inn rep contacted Marc Ingebritsen for me. (I was there in Sept. - too early for the Tundra Buggies). Marc has lived in Churchill for several years and knows the area & its history well. The tour cost $100, lasted ~ 3 hr. & included several sites around town (he is knowledgeable about the historical significance of each), a visit to the Churchill Northern Studies Centre (CNSC) then we watched a roaming adult polar bear for a while. A pleasant guy who knows where the bears are likely to be. We were also lucky to watch the Natural Resources officers as they loaded 2 bears from the Polar Bear Jail into a net & carried them away from town with a helicopter (happens when the jail is full). Overall, time well spent.
I later worked with a group for 11 days at the CNSC. Our group hired Mark for an afternoon & he found a female & her cub - lots of photos. (watch for an article in 'National Geographic Traveller' that one group member is writing on Eco-Tourism). Ended the day with a visit to the polar Bear Jail (can't go inside but several displays outside).
Mark worked at North Star Tours, pone 204 675 - 2147. His cell # was 204 675 - 0016 Ask if he can show you around for a few hours.
Hi there! I ran your question into google translate, so I hope that it was translated correctly.
There are no polar bears in Churchill in May. They tend to come back into the area in July and stay until late November. Prime polar bear viewing season is in October/November.
A double room in November is $255 a night. We do not own Tundra Buggies, but we work closely with a company called Frontiers North Adventures who own the official Tundra Buggy in Churchill. You can book your polar bear viewing activity through them.
Thanks for your question and again I hope the translation is correct.
