Stayed here while in town for a sports tournament. Check in was very smooth, front desk staff very friendly. Rooms were large and updated. Very clean and shower pressure was good. Beds very comfortable as well. Pool area could use some updates but the kids loved it. Hot tub and kids pool were both closed. All staff I interacted with were very friendly. And cleaning staff actually came and made up the room after night 1! Not sure the last time a hotel actually cleaned the room during my stay. The only drawback was the main areas of the hotel. They need some updating and TLC. All in all a great stay. I would consider this hotel again if I was in the city.
I didn't have a real stay here, but I came in and out while waiting for a guest staying there, and was so impressed with Keely at the front desk. She seemed to be handling multiple things and was so friendly to everyone. She seems to really care about the guests.
I'm always stressed out and worried about how everybody's going to react to my 64 lb dog. The staff and the room was so accommodating for my dog. She was very happy. Especially the fact that there is an awesome paved walking path which, that we used the whole weekend. The front counter staff, the cleaning staff, and the staff that we just bumped into walking down the hallways we're so friendly and kind and always wanted to help. The room was extremely clean. Using the temperature gauge was very easy it was too hot when we got there made it to a comfortable 19°. I'm definitely staying there again when I go up there if not every time I go up there and have to stay overnight. Not to mention the dinner theater is in the same building and a really nice tavern. I also like the fact that there's a water slide in the pool. The accessibility was fabulous even when you weren't using the main front door you could still use one of the side doors with a wheelchair. The parking lot is really big with plugins for the winter, very accommodating. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were amazing it was like sleeping in a cloud. But they were firm at the same time!???!! I slept like a log.…
We checked in late and was told that I have canceled my room for two night as I called earlier in the day to inform them that we will be a late arrival. It was sorted out within 15 mins and got our room. The room was nice and clean with lots of space, the tv is on the older side and should be updated. It was a nice quite stay and we will return with our family.
We often come here for our Staycations. The theme rooms at fort Garry Canadinns are done up so nicely and have so much detail to most of them. My favourite is the castle theme, it is done up from floor to ceiling with elaborate details. The rooms cost about 250 alight for a theme room with a nice big king bed and a hot tub, the castle room also has a separate children’s bedroom which I like because I can bring my kids too for a nice cheap staycation.
The room was clean, the staff friendly and accommodating. It is a great place to stay. Very comfortable. My partner and I would not hesitate to come back again. The restaurant food was very good. The covid situation made things more challenging for all concerned but the staff were so good at making us feel comfortable.
We stayed two nights - myself and two teenage boys for a sporting event in the city. The room was clean with exception of the coffee maker - water and an old coffee pod left in it as well as a strange bug crawling across the take out menu we were given at the front desk. The bathroom had only two towels for showering and the shower curtain was nowhere near sufficient for preventing a minor flood on the floor. The closet door was partially off it’s track so we just didn’t use it after opening it the first time. We had a “lobby view” and OH MY WORD the dust on the artificial ivy plants window ledges was insane. We actually stood in a row and stared at it while having a Mother/Sons debate about whether it was dust or if the ledges were felt lined. The dust on the ivy plants tipped the scales away from felt. Everyone was very friendly staff-wise although we did have limited contact The food from the morning Aalto’s breakfast was a bit overcooked and my boys said the scrambled eggs tasted weird but the Tavern evening food was fine. Service was quick - it was ready for pickup when promised. …
terrible stink in carpet. doubt if it has ever been cleaned.drunks spilling out of front door.no place for children. will not stay at a canada inn again. anticipate bugs in bed. sleep with shoes on.stink so bad thought about just leaving and let them keep room cost.
Recently had to stay in Winnipeg for a couple of nights after surgery. Our hotel was very nice, comfortable, clean and affordable. The service was also amazing. Whatever we asked for, the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The location is also very convenient. Will definitely stay here again. Excellent!!
While walking towards the men's washroom there was a terrible odor coming from that area. You could smell urine in the hallway. I was attending Celebrations Dinner Theatre so that was the nearest washroom. I was very disappointed how dirty they were.
