Pros: reasonable and competitive price, clean, nice pool area and upgraded room with plenty of space. Beds were decent. Cons: not an ideal area for families and there was a fire alarm twice in one day and staff didn't really provide direction or checkin or anything - stsff weren't too engaged but I imagine they get a lot of difficult issues. Everyone just hanging around outside with no direction while the mosquitoes bite during the alarms. No breakfast which would add a stsr if decent.

We took our children on an overnighter at the Canad Inn, because they have the Splashers Park and my kids love to waterslide. The room exceeded our expectation, and the service was good. My kids spent several hours at the waterslide on Saturday, I went into the pool as well. The facility is very nice, with beautiful killer whale murals painted on the walls.

We noticed that the chlorine levels seemed very high. I have a pool at home, so I understand what it takes to maintain correct water chemistry, and if my pool smelled like that I would have added fresh water to dilute the chemicals. In a facility like this one, that sees the kind of traffic they get the water needs to be tested 5 times per day.. we didn't see a single test done in the five hours we were there.

The harsh chemicals in the pool were taking a toll on us even my wife and I who were sitting in deck chairs supervising our kids on the side lines. That night my young son's eyes were so red and swollen he couldn't sleep, we had to put ice on them, he was in much pain. The next day, my kids begged to go on the slide again that morning.. we finally relented. The kids played for about 1 hour, they were in the hot tub, suddenly they both started caughing, choking and crying.. the chlorine was so harsh it hurt their lungs. We were the only ones using the facility at the time, we left an informed the front desk. That was the end of our watersliding, the kids were disappointed.. after we left my wife and I compared notes and agreed that in all of the hours that we spend in the pool area.. we didn't observe a maintenance person checking the water chemistry at all, and despite the harsh chlorine smell the water was cloudy. We could only conclude that they don't put much emphasis on keeping the water levels at safe levels for choliforms or chemicals. As a result we won't be visiting the Splashers park again. The Best Western on Pembina has a salt water pool and slide..

Was not impressed from reception on and would not have been my choice of place to stay. Dirty looking old worn out pot smelling hotel. I had to stay here due to it being booked by my disability company who made me an appointment to be tested on what I might be able or not able to do for work. Anyhow when I got there the guy wanted my credit card and was going to charge me even though this was being paid for by my disability company then said their credit card was not working. We get that finally sorted then get a terrible worn dirty looking room. Red stains all over the carpet broken curtains, beds way to soft, water for shower takes so long to warm up, mold and paint peeeling in bathroom, door sticky and looks like bathroom door was kicked in as well as room door. This is the second time we have stayed at a Canad Inn and will never stay at another one if it is my choice. Been in way nicer places.

Original room we booked was in a noisy location next to the pool
At our request we were offered another very comfortable and quiet room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel to friends and would certainly stay there again. High standard of cleanliness.

Room was fine. 1 star rating for the pool . They have a 10inch deep wading pool and then a 4 foot deep pool. The water slide empties right into the pool and caused waves that would send our floating 3 year old to the wall. Water slide is very fast. We ordered two pizza from the dining room which were way over done. Ended up throwing most of it out. Entrence to the pool is right by an outside door so in winter hall was quite cold. Water temp in pool was cold and our 3 year old granddaughter lips were purple at times. Never any towels in pool area

My first thought when my family drove up to the hotel was, where's the entrance? My family booked 5 nights for the 2023 Western Canadian Ringette Championships. The team had to book this hotel due to "Stay and Play" from the tournament organizers.

When we first entered the lobby it was clean and the employees were very welcoming and polite.... but that is where it ended. After receiving our room key, we proceeded through the door to the hall to our room, we were instantly wacked in the face by the pungent smell off marijuana. The carpet in the hall was old, worn and dirty. When we opened the door, only after the third key finally worked, to the room and my wife entered and she immediately said "we are not staying here".

Our walls in our room had stains and holes. The bathroom had a big stain in the middle of the tub, dirt and mold around the floor and rusty plug in the sink. Behind the door was a huge brown strain running down the wall. The light switches didn't even have the same color switches. The blinds had holes that would not fully close and we were on the main floor. We proceeded to lifting the sheets to look for bugs.... thank god there was none.
My family slept on top of the sheets that night and used out coats as blankets.

I will not comment on the remainder of the teams very subpar rooms.

In the morning, we pack out luggage and went on the search for a new hotel.

$179.00 per night, At that price, do some renovations and much needed maintenance. This place is a dump

Again, the staff were very apologetic and gave us a small discount.

This was our first stay at this property. We were pleasantly surprised at the appointment of the room. Lots of plug-ins for all our electronics. Everything met our expectations for cleanliness. We will stay here again. Our room was on the third floor and I had to ask the front desk where I could find an ice machine and pop machine. Not on my floor, I had to go to the first or second floor for these items.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay at Canadinn Garden City in Winnipeg in June. We were upgraded to a suite due to an air-conditioning failure in our assigned room.
The care and attention that the staff showed us was really appreciated, and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Winnipeg.
They also provide good security and a fair room rate.

First room was right by the door to the pool and outside. Very noise and loud all night long. Props to the staff who moved me the next day. But over all the food was poor and no coffee in lobby, no breakfast with stay, and no exercise facilities. Bed was comfortable.
