Stayed here over a weekend with friends. Very friendly staff, and terrific location. We could walk to so many places of interest. However, it is on the more expensive side, even for Americans. Plus, we were told parking was free to hotel guests, only to be charged upon checkout. The amount they charged, while not exorbitant, seemed hardly worth it. Why can't they provide parking to their guests as a courtesy? When you are already charging premium room rates, why do you need to gouge even more coin out of your "guests"?

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. In regards to the parking rates we do not have these built into our rates as some guests require parking and some do not however we review our parking rates regularly to ensure we are priced competitively in Downtown Winnipeg. I apologize if there was any miscommunication regarding this ahead of time and will share your feedback with our Front Office Team to improve on this moving forward. Thank you for staying with us and hopefully we can welcome you back in the future!

Just say I was looking forward to a staycation would be an understatement, I needed this break. Excited for the hotel amenities such as an outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool, club lounge, great menu items all rolled up into one.

However, things did not go as planned. It started with parking which was $18 /day/self-parking with 30ish spots designated for guests. There is construction going on in the underground Parkade [which is not on their website] that not only had foul smells but also left residue on my vehicle (had only been parked for 3 hours). We understand improvements and construction so the parking issue was overlooked.

Upon checking in my mobile key would not activate the elevator which meant I had to go to the front desk and retrieve a physical key [what’s the point of having BLE technology off the elevators don’t accept the phone as a key]. Up in the room I realized that this was not the room type I had reserved. I had reserved a deluxe high level floor which came with a higher price. However I was placed into a standard room on the seventh floor without a rate adjustment. The gentleman at the front desk recognize this and acknowledge that they were sold out of my room type [although I was able to book it online] and that the rate should in fact have been changed to which he lowered the rate. Looking forward to ordering appetizers before dinner from the BLU lounge, Only to find out it was closed and didn’t open until the next day. The menu that was available was extremely limited - the wings where delicious. The outdoor pool closes at 7:45 PM every day so we weren’t able to enjoy which is fine as we did use the heated indoor pool. Unfortunately, there were no towels at the pool any time we went down.

I should note that prior to checking in I contacted the hotel to confirm a couple of items as this was not only a staycation it was a 50th birthday celebration. The customer service agent I dealt with on two separate occasions [same person] has not or does not appear to of grasped the concept of customer service. The gentleman at the front desk upon check-in however was excellent.

Overall I was extremely disappointed. The club lounge was closed which again is not noted anywhere on their website and was not indicated by any of the conversations had with customer service agents. As a gold elites lifetime member we typically receive upgrades are available and this time I actually received downgrade.

I doubt I will stay at this hotel and my recommendations to colleagues and or family/friends would be to consider other options.

Our daughter was moving into Residence at University of Winnipeg and decided to make it a holiday and visit a city we have not spent time in.
The Delta (part of Marriott chain) was well located in the centre of downtown.
It is still the Covid pandemic time and there are no bellmen or help with luggage. The front desk people were nice enough but between the plexiglass barriers and masks, it was hard to hear their soft voices.
Our rooms were nice. We got connecting rooms as an upgrade from the 2 bedroom unit on the Pool level to get away from the Chlorine smell.
The bed was nice and the pillows OK.
The bathroom had good amenities.
The workout facility is really good and there are two pools and two hot tubs available too. We did not use the pool facility but I did use the workout/fitness facility and it is well appointed and well stocked.
Unfortunately, the pandemic meant that we did not have any housekeeping cleaning our room for an entire week. I find that very annoying and a barrier to me desiring to travel at all.
The lobby coffee shop also served a nice menu of food for breakfast and lunch. We ate here frequently.
Parking was OK. It is underground and safe but there is so much construction going on in the parkade it was difficult to find spots to park in the designated Hotel parking area.

It's a good hotel but not a great hotel.

The hotel is just by the RBC Convention Center making it an easy and comfortable choice for business visitors. The room itself was dated but clean. Bottled water was provided, which unfortunately is not true for many other mid-range Canadian hotels I have stayed in. Didn't try the breakfast or any other amenities at the hotel. Check-in and check-out was smooth and the reception was kind to open the main door without me reaching out for the card key each and every time.

My third stay within the past 4 months was as perfect as can be. On my previous stay in January, I had a few minor issues with the sleep quality. On my feedback to the Hotel, I was immediately contacted by the front office manager, to assure me that, on my next stay, these issues would be resolved, and, indeed they were.
The front office, check in staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, as is the housekeeping and cleaning staff.
The King room was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable, the room amenities good. The high floor Premier room has a walk in shower, double shower head (rain and hand held) , very pleasant and comfortable.
Underground parking at current weather conditions a must, and
available at the Delta.
In sum, a great hotel experience in downtown Winnipeg

Wonderful stay in Winnipeg. The rooms are large, and over a multi night stay I never heard anyone in another room, yet the hotel was sold out. Made for great night’s sleep !

Well located downtown, attached to the RBC Centre by covered walkways. Surrounded by restaurants, plentiful taxi service at the front door.

Helpful staff, good lounge although there was no hot food in afternoons.

Tried both the restaurant and room service. Value for money is incredible!! The breakfast downstairs in the lobby was delicious and the delivered dinner was both delivered in 20 minutes and amazing.

Great stay, too bad it was so cold !!

We chose to stay at the Delta due to its close proximity to Hargrave St Market and the fact that it’s one of the few nicer downtown hotels that offers a pool area! The lobby and rooms are very nice and well maintained. The heated bathroom floors were a pleasant surprise too!
That said, the pool area could certainly use a facelift. We booked our stay through a CAA price promotion that included free parking; Otherwise, the $18 parking fee would have been a hard pill to swallow for a Winnipeg hotel and potentially could have been a deterrent all together.

We recently stayed at the Delta Winnipeg to attend a Jets game. Our stay was short and pleasant, until
we left and found that our vehicle (and no less than 6 others) were broken into in the parkade.

The hotel responded professionally and assisted in cleaning the glass so that we could head home, which was appreciated.

Upon reading reviews, it appears that this is a regular occurrence. While the Delta does not own the parkade, they do have a designated area for their guests - most of which are there for the night. Quickly checking on our way out, I did not notice any of the other areas affected the way the Delta area was hit.

There are no cameras and no security in the parking lot - there are the “standard” park at your own risk signs, but nothing which indicates that this is a significant and regular occurrence.

Where it has been clearly identified as a significant problem, it would make sense that either a security firm be hired to monitor the lot, or a monitored security system be installed to protect the hotel
Guests property.

Based on the number of vehicles hit, it would appear that the vandals were in the parkade for some length of time - there is also a significant safety concern!

Room was clean, bed was comfy but don't order room service.
The worst overpriced breakfast served in a brown bag!
no china or cutlery here, you get your expensive meal served in a brown bag with 1/2 a toast, the other half disappeared? Food just piled in a lump and cold. Do not order room service at this hotel!

Staycation at the Delta was a great stay.
Check in and parking smooth

Pool was great.

Room was very well kept and the bed gave a great sleep

One odd thing - Coffee package in room only contained 1 caffeinated coffee.

Will definitely do this again

We drive a GMC Acadia and it’s 5.10....we fit but it was snug. Our Onstar antenna it the signs that were hanging from the ceiling. My sister in law drives an Aspen. She was concerned it was gonna scrape, so a Valet worker went with her to see if it was going to fit, she was also okay but very tight. I’m not gonna lie the garage is nerve wracking! Hope this helps.

Generally, the ceiling is good for cars, most trucks, and SUVs. But certain sections (like for the hotel parking section underground) you have to be very careful.
