Centrally located with quite reasonable rates for the rooms and parking, this property feels like a feasible option for us, as we did not experience the ghastly testimonials presented here by others. We concede that this hotel has seen better days, and it needs some TLC and some badly needed refresh of furnishings and finishes, but it’s also historically fascinating that's well worth taking one’s time to explore around a bit. Think of the possibilities and the potential here! Fortunately, we were not mistreated by the staff, and the bottom line is that this place delivers on most of the basics: cleanliness, adequate room temperature control, noise levels under control, reasonably comfortable bed, good toilet pressure and water temperature controls in the bathroom, decent lighting options in the room, enough electrical outlets to charge your piles of modern junk, workable wi-fi, and fairly competent housekeeping. If you need to save some money for your trip, you can do a lot worse elsewhere.

My advice is look at the room before taking it.....the staff seem overworked and underplayed..unhappy staff equals unhappy clients majority of the rooms are in need of repairs.
The food is good the pool is alright.
This hotel is needing a lot of attention.

The location of the Marlborough wasn't too bad, but the negatives far outweigh the positives. I stayed there last March and again in May. The room was very small and there was no soundproofing at all. I could hear every little noise come from the bathroom. I could hear the guy next to us talking and coughing all night long.

The next trip in May. This time, we were going to the ballet, so it was sort of close. While we were waiting for the cab to go eat, there were prostitutes waiting outside of the hotel doors and one went into the parking garage across the street with one guy. When we got back that night, there were a group of homeless guys sitting outside of the hotels' doors asking us for money. When we left the next morning, we had parked in the garage across the street, we noticed that the group of kids hanging out in the hotel and in the parking garage had bent our cars' antennea to a 90 deg. angle.

Needless to say, I will never be staying there again.

Went for my birthday, my card was overcharged by $100, tried several times to have it rectified with not even so much as a returned phone call. Room was dirty still from previous guests (full flowers on the floor, gross bedding)🤮.
No fridge or anywhere to put leftovers and no ice machine on our floor, shower disgusting and water temp uncontrollable, small tv with limited channels, heat in the room was overwhelming and unadjustable. Hotel looks nice from outside and lobby but the rooms and service were atrocious.
Highly highly highly recommend chosing a different hotel. 👎👎

I can confirm everything i wrote in march 2019, this is such a cosey place with a warm, comfortable bed, allways hot water, tv set and Wi-fi, working !!! Where i said last time that many items were worn out, i hardly did see any, this time, so this location has infact, improved. Breakfast is delightfull, some staff members at front desk or security were new to me, others i recognized from last time, including the lady that cleaned my room. What remained is that they're all very friendly and helpfull. And with the hotel, being as close as it is to Bell MTS Place, i wouldn't concider another hotel in Winnipeg. See you next NHL season, Marlborough !!! :)

Absolutely do not stay at this hotel! It is run down, the staff is rude and it is full of bugs. It should be a major red flag when you go down to the front desk for a refund and they immediately give it to you without question. This hotel is absolutely disgusting - there aren't even functional locks on the doors! We had several of our rooms entered by random strangers while staying here. DO NOT STAY.

Fantastic stay! Do you know they let pets into the hotel? They keep a box of treats at the front desk for your fur babies! And the history in this place? It's fascinating! Every brick has a story it feels like. Swimming is lovely, bed was very comfortable. Slight noise issue with a neighbor, but the hotel staff handled it instantly. Their lounge is great, won a few bucks on the machines. Food tastes ALMOST as good as moms home cooking. All in all, I'm very very pleased with this hotel and its team. You'll see me again, thanks! :)

Do not stay here. The sheets were not washed and were stained. There was a puke stain on the carpet in our room, used condom in the hallway, the AC was non existent and dirty handprints on the ceiling. I do not know how this place is legally allowed to rent rooms. I

The Marlborough Hotel is a place I'd advise against. It has a sketchy ambiance, questionable clientele, and safety issues that left me uncomfortable throughout my stay. The rooms were subpar, and the overall atmosphere was unsettling. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a pleasant or secure experience.

The hotel is located at very heart of downtown, it is a building over 100 years & we took public transportation, so I am afraid there is no free parking, or you can contact hotel directly.

Hi there, we have 4 elevators that go up to the 8th floor on the main level that service all guests.

I think it really depends on where your hotel room is and how the other guests behave during the time of your stay. Our room was on the second floor and closest to the elevator, yet we had no trouble sleeping for the nights we were there. It could be that we were very lucky. I don't recall the parking cost either but once again, we were lucky to rent a car from Enterprise at the airport. It so happens that there was an Enterprise rental centre behind the hotel so we parked there for free. I do agree with the other reviewers though: if I were you, I would find another hotel.
