The room is set up for longer stays with a full size fridge sink, stove and microwave. The room is large with a comfortable bed. We felt relaxed and at ease. The rooms were clean. The continental breakfast was adequate. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly. The hotel paid for the taxi to and from the airport. There are restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel. We stayed in February and again in March. We had to overnight in Winnipeg to make our flight to our vacation destination. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We booked this hotel online and arrived at around 7pm as we were using it as a quick layover before we flew out early the next morning. Check in was very easy, however drop off space at the front door was very limited. If there were more than one vehicle in the area it would lead to some congestion- not a big deal, but a pain when the weather is minus 35. Access to the room was obtained via elevator, entrance into room on the 4th floor with a key card. The room was a little crammed, but served its purpose for us. Kitchen immediately when you enter (sink/dishwasher/stove/fridge, and desk on the opposite wall. We booked a queen with a pull outdoor the young kids. Sheets were already on the pull out- we shared our bed pillows, but Im sure we could have asked for more and been provided them. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was roomy- shower was powerful. One sink. Check out was a snap. I would book here again based on the price that I paid.

This hotel had everything we needed especially during the pandemic. The frig, stovetop and microwave was perfect and keurig coffee maker and even a dishwasher
Plates, etc and cutlery provided too. There’s even frozen foods and dry goods to buy in the lobby. Take away free breakfast because of the pandemic. Denny’s is a short walk away. To the west of Winnipeg so easy to get to Hwy 1 for our trip west and gas stations and Tim’s on the way..

This is a property in significant decline. As you enter you are greated with a sound system with a noticable "buzz" - it was like that the last time we stayed here so clearly no one thinks this is worth fixing. The heating system was uneven at best. The tub was not cleaned properly. The breakfast has declined. It used to include several hot options, no longer. Very limited amounts and options. Both the juice machine and the coffee machine were broken. A sign instructed guest to make their own coffee in their rooms. I have stayed a budget hotels with greater care for guests. Simply put, I previously gave this property a very strong review, but not now. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Located very close to the airport, this Inn is ideal for longer stays. It seems that all rooms are equipped with a fridge, hob, dishwasher, microwave and crockery so ideal for someone who does not want to eat every day in the restaurant. There is also a work desk in the room. The room was comfortable. The staff was courteous and very kind. The free shuttle to the airport is actually a taxi that is paid for by the Pension. Continental breakfast is offered (juice, coffee, muffin, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt) and is a good Check-out before the day! Products are available at the reception (Traveler's basics, beverages, wine, beer, reheating meals). Only small flat. I'm a little sleepy and I was a bit inconvenienced by the noise of the air conditioning and one night by the footsteps of the people of the room above me (yes yes, they have Point of Sale in their room for a good part of the night...) But I would still choose this Pension if I went back to Winnipeg. Note that the Pension is located about 1 hour by bus from the main attractions (or 25 min by car).

Hereby I express my gratitude to all the front desk staff especially to Mr. Meg.
I returned to this hotel this week in spite of our travel agent strongly prefer IHG all the time.
During the pandemic, I spent two weeks in Mainstay and I was impressed by the excellent location and the big room with full kitchen facilities.

This time I was impressed by their front desk service. Within their capability they tried their best to help the guest out of the trouble. Meg took notes, escalated, followed up, fed back, and was relayed by the night shift lady on Sept 10th, 2024.

They together solved a big trouble of mine. It requires a lot of patience and kindness. For some reason I can't disclose the detail. Although the hotel still have space to improve(for example the breakfast can have more contents), I strongly recommend it to everyone who travels to Winnipeg!

Maria checked us in and was friendly, knowledgeable, and told us about the hotel.Beds we’re comfy room was clean. The breakfast was lacking with not much choice, bagels yogurt hard boiled eggs. They are hosting Evacuees and have tight security but was getting frustrated every time we left to go out and getting asked if I had a smoke. Never got our room cleaned in the 3 nights we were there. I guess hit and miss

Meg gave my brother and I the best customer service I’ve ever seen in any hotel. He went above and beyond for us that I will be checking into the mainstay a lot more often. Good human beings like him deserve a raise. Given the touch patch we have been through and how tired we were. Words can’t explain the application for such understanding.

Amazing rooms!

These rooms are huge! Two beds, couch, table and chairs, full kitchenette, nice large tubs! This place has it all!

The staff was super helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Even the maintenance guy went out of his way to help me fix a tent pole.

Hot tub and pool is closed. Coin laundry available.

I am in Winnipeg often and decided to try this hotel for 4 nights. Never again. It's loud with people yelling at midnight, kids running the halls, and all kinds of commotion going on. These are suites for extended stays but the fridge didn't work. Obviously areas around the stove haven't been wiped down in a long time. Alarms in the hall or other rooms are going off all night and even during the day. Thankfully there are many other places to stay in Winnipeg. I won't be back here.
