Visited Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge in early August. From start to finish our trip was truly a five-star experience. We had a blast being guided by Dalain to monster walleye and northern pike each day. The shore lunches were expertly prepared by Dalain and were amazing!! Of course we had to save room for dinner - filet mignon, beef ribs, bacon wrapped chicken - need I say more? After an evening of fishing we loved relaxing at Big Molly’s Bar. The accommodations at ALWL are first class. The staff are professional and personable. We’re still talking about our trip and looking forward to the next. Highly recommend.

This was my second trip to Aikens Lake and the experience was once again…magical! We were treated like kings the moment we arrived. The staff at Aikens Lake are incredibly nice and the guides are amazing! Our guides took us to the best fishing holes and prepared delicious shore lunches. The fishing was top notch, as expected. From sunrise to sunset , our lines were continually pulling in beautiful walleye and big jack! The chef at Aikens lake prepared delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and supper. Really outstanding! Throw in several nights at Big Molly’s after fishing and life just doesn't get any better. Highly recommended adventure!

It all started from the minute we got off that float plane to the welcoming handshakes – and numerous stop-and-chats. At that very moment, the tone was set for what would be a magical couple of days in the middle of Manitoba. On the water, the fishing was excellent; our guides (and shore lunches) were even better. Off the water, the entire staff (led by Pit, Julie, Pat and Janelle) was top tier. As for Big Molly’s Bar? What can you say… I think we broke the record for how many times we said, “just one more.” Looking forward to a few more next year. Thanks to the Aikens family for such a wonderful experience!

Second time at Aikens this year. And again - it's as good as it gets. Can't imagine a better fly-in fishing experience. The staff are friendly, attentive to every detail, and genuine. You always feel like family. And the cabins and rooms are gorgeous for being so out there (not to mention the daily housekeeping!). Food in the dining room and drinks in Big Molly's bar are absolutely incredible. Fishing was great yet again. Boats are extremely well-equipped (with super comfortable padded seats) and the guides are fantastic - really fun to spend time with them on the water. Walleye are everywhere and the average size is probably over 20 inches. Big pike were plentiful on the troll - we must have landed at least 10 pike over 30" in 2 days. Big lake trout were out there, too, but we didn't spend much time chasing them. The lake and scenery are spectacular. You won't find a better fly-in lodge in terms of accommodation, staff, and experience!

It was a very first visit to Aikens Lodge for my son and I. Prior to our departure from the Silver Falls we received all information that made our preparation very easy and stress free. From the moment we landed and stepped on the dock we felt like special guests coming home. The whole team welcomed us, gave us introductory tour of the lodge site and shortly after we met our guide, and fishing adventure started. The beauty of the lake and surrounding is amazing. Fishing was great even for the most demanding anglers. Accommodation made us feel like home. All meals at the lodge and daily shore lunches prepared by the guide were delicious. The whole staff was very friendly and professional. I returned with the Master Angler Certificate for landing 35" lake trout. It already sparked ideas to think about return trip one day.
