We booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at the Club Regent Events Centre and we thought we would make a night of it without a long drive home after the show. We arrived at 3:30 p.m. to face a long line of guests. There was some problem with the check-in of one couple and no apparent way to resolve it quickly, resulting in a 30-minute wait. We stayed in a double queen-bed room. It is large and reasonably well equipped with a desk, console, large TV, mini-fridge, microwave, alarm clock, iron/iron board, side chairs, table, drip coffee maker and computer chair. The HVAC system is an older through-the-wall system and the room was stifling hot when we entered; we had to switch it to 'cool' to reduce the temperature. The bathroom is a small, 4-piece unit, with a low stepover tub (great for seniors), and the usual amenities. There was a hair dryer but only one setting worked. One thing we liked was that there were plenty of towels. Some issues: there were no printed TV or hotel directories in the room. Wi-Fi was complimentary but the best I could get was 20Mbps; this proved to be a problem when we attended the concert and tried loading our tickets from Ticketmaster; it took 5 minutes on a Samsung S23 phone and e had to use 5G (no Wi-Fi there, apparently). Aalto's restaurant does not open until 5 p.m.; a long line of hotel guests and concertgoers waited with only 90 minutes to showtime. The mini-fridge seemed to be 'on' all the time and was noisy; we shut it off. Check-out was quick and pleasant.

We were shocked to find a nail clipping in the bed - does this mean that the sheets are not being changed between guests? Also, the toilet did not flush properly and needed a visit from maintainance, who worked on it for 30 minutes and said it needed to be cleaned properly the next day. A change of room should have been offered but it wasn’t. The parking lot hasn’t seen any snow/ice removal all winter and the parking spots are a joke - people can’t keep a straight line, it’s terrible to walk on when you get out of your car and almost fall - someone will get injured if it isn’t looked after. The stay and play package is a good deal, but there are other accommodations nearby that are close in price and will bear looking at in the future.

Stayed for 1 night as we were travelling through the area. Clean large king size room. Hotel is joined to the casino so it’s a very short 1-2 minute walk to the casino. No free coffee in lobby ( side note….. no where was it advertised but it’s always a nice perk )

By far one of the best hotels to stay at in Winnipeg, located 20 minutes from the Forks and connected to the Casino with a great restaurant located in the hotel. Nearby are popular restaurants to choose from and the KP mall is almost next door. From the time you check in till when you check out the staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. The hotel is always clean and the rooms are very comfortable. This will always be my go-to place when staying in Winnipeg.

I stayed here this past Thursday to Friday night. This was my first stay since December 2019, due to COVID. Surprisingly I was upgraded to a suite on the third floor. The room was lovely and huge! Very clean and felt newly renovated. There was a jacuzzi spa in the bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, large living room and dining areas. Even though the room was near the main entry area, I found it to be very quiet. They still have COVID precautions such as no housekeeping will enter your room. I was very happy about that. The room had a coffee maker and supplies. About an hour after my check-in the front desk called to ask me how everything was. Very good customer service.
Another thing I appreciated was the security. Your room key was required in order to enter the rooms area. Even to fill your ice bucket, you needed to insert your key. Nice that people have to be more respectful when such measures are in place.
They have take out food available from Aalto's. I only ate in the casino at McDonald's and Toukie's. Toukie's was excellent (had the chicken fried chicken, delicious but small portion).
I had such a great time I am thinking about booked a two night stay in a couple of weeks.

We were upgraded to a suite. What a beautiful room. It had a huge living area with a small kitchen. The bedroom had a king bed .There is a huge bathroom with a walk in shower and a 2nd 1/2 bath. The sofa is a sofa bed. On the bed were bathrobes and slippers for guests. Both rooms have large screen tv's. The large living room is perfect for entertaining a few quests such as a wedding party. The Regent casino is part of the hotel with inside walking.

Fantastic!!! We were here for 10days. My father had surgery and they were so accommodating; as we had to check out and in - not knowing from day to day. They were so helpful finding and organizing rooms for us. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Staff were like friends - kind understanding Would stay here everytime we had to visit

Displeased with our stay, would not recommend to others to stay. We were told management would be in contact but still have not heard from them. We were fearful of the activities outside or surrounding (or below) our room. Will stay somewhere else next time.

My family and I always enjoy our stay . All the staff are so friendly and accommodating . We feel like we’re at home the rooms are very clean and quiet and beds are so comfy. I always recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

I know 11 am is checkout. Check in we got there at like 2 pm and they had our rooms but I find that most hotels have rooms ready before the posted time.
There are more places to choose from in the Winnipeg area.
