Detailed Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were lovely and super helpful (we had a problem with our tv and the lady instantly came up to our room to successfully sort the problem). Breakfast was a bonus (buffet style) for the price. The room was super clean, the mattress was comfortable and the a/c was just what we needed. They also offer 24-hour complimentary hot drinks down in the breakfast room and the hot chocs were lovely. The pool was closed when we visited but it didn't affect our stay.
The location was handy for all of the tourist spots and a taxi to the airport was only $20.

I chose this hotel as it was both close to the VIA Rail station and centre. I stayed here twice - one three and another for four nights. Overall a very good hotel and excellent value for money. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms on both occasions were identical. Comfortable king size bed. Single arm chair and desk. TV which had cable channels and ability to log in with Netflix account etc. Microwave, fridge and coffee machine with good quality coffee bags. Bathrooms were fine. Use of small bottles of toiletries are not a personal favourite and would rather see dispensers by sink and inside bath for showering. Towels were changed daily.
I made use of the on site laundry twice. $1.25 for detergent. $2 for a 35 minutes wash and same for a 50+ minutes very warm dry. Latter doesn't need to be that long so might be worth considering a shorter drying cycle? You'll need 25¢ coins but the front desk will assist you to change bills for you.
Breakfast (from 06:00 each day) was quite basic. A couple of cooked items which change each day, cereals, bread, bagels etc. However, cups, plates were paper and cutlery plastic. I'm sure that cuts down the cleaning up but I would prefer china and metal utensils.
One concern is the front desk photocopying credit cards upon checking in. No need as they have the card details stored encrypted and are preauthorised for the cost of full stay plus $200 security deposit.

The hotel is ok. I'd say a bit overpriced but the location is convenient. We stayed on 24Aug22 for just one night.
Check in was easy and parking was easy to find but they charge $10.
The room kind of smelled like a mixture of old smoke and cleaning products. We had already unpacked so couldn't be bothered to ask to change rooms. It was on the 6th floor.
The hotel is looking pretty dated at this point and breakfast isn't very good. Just some breads such as bagels, toast and eggs/ham. No fruit, yogurt etc
Overall its safe and decent but not great. I'll likely stay elsewhere in the future.

YES for the price
YES for its location
NO NO NO for everything else:
CLEANLINESS; fridge dirty, found a dirty Kleenex in the ice bucket, dust everywhere in the room, carpet and chairs dirty, bedspreads gray but should be white, bathroom wall mirror dirty, carpets in elevators muddy, ceiling tiles missing in the corridor, empty glass stayed on the corridor floor for 2 days and I can go on and on.....
PARKING: not gated and not secured, for $10.00 per night it should be at least gated
BREAKFAST; a real joke, about nothing to eat, the last morning there was bacon and hash browns, no eggs or omelets, no yogourt, no fruits except apples....pancake machine broken., not replenished regularly, we have to ask, nobody cares to check.
Hotel needs to be refreshed, beside it's close location to the Forks, I have nothing positive to say about the place except, stay far away from this place!

Good afternoon, Thank you for choosing the Humphry Inn and Suites for your accommodations during your recent visit to Winnipeg. We welcome all guest feedback. This hotel is consistently decent in terms of price, parking and location. Free breakfast could be improved with fresh fruit or more selection as it is slim pickings. Keeping with all hotels, pool and hot tub remain closed, citing covid related issues. This is the fourth hotel in Canada I have stayed at citing this, so it would be more transparent if the hotel advertised this on their website.

I booked jucuzi room to surprise my husband. Every morning we went for complimentary breakfast which was pretty nice and decent. In the evening we went out to the forks as it is really close by about 7 minutes walk and the front staff is also really helpful.

They hold your money for days.
This is a perfectly adequate hotel in a great location, but I can’t get past the security deposit.
I’ve stayed in hotels all over Canada, and the deposit is always returned within 48 hours. Always!
But not here, four days later I’m still waiting & the hotel advise that this normal. Well, it’s not normal anywhere else. They seem oblivious to their procedural deficiencies & offer no empathy or solution.

This is a very clean establishment ideally located because it is close to the city center and transport. The bedding is of very good quality and the soundproofing of the rooms is correct. On the other hand, there is an obvious lack of storage, no safe and a television that does not work. The breakfasts are OK but quite limited in choice. The staff is pleasant. Note the presence of a small room where it is possible to buy drinks, sweets, ice creams or various essential products.

We arrived a bit early and were made to feel welcome while our room was made ready for us. Front desk staff were especially helpful all through our visit, from recommending places to eat, giving directions, making change, and storing our bags for part of the day after we had checked out but still too soon to head to the airport for our flights.
The location is ideal if you want to use it as a base for central Winnipeg, which we did. On major bus routes, and a short walk to the Forks and plenty of places downtown.
The room was fine - no problems whatsoever. Good hot shower with plenty of water pressure. Breakfast each morning was included, and was slightly different each of the four mornings we were there giving a bit of variety.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Humphry and will happily go back in the future.

It has a nice location close to almost everything, the Fork Market and Downtown. But because its location is at the corner of Main and St Mary, it is very noisy at night. The hotel room interior is clean but kind of out of maintenance with broken window lock.
The hotel staffs are very friendly and approachable from the front desk (Paulina and her colleagues), to the cleaning lady, and plumber Dave.
The breakfast is a highlight for this hotel. One of the best among the hotels with breakfast. It provides a variety of items same as the hotel's own description. I do notice the fruit (apple) was not fresh.

I agree with the above answers tight but plenty of room no security problems. Have a safe trip
Parking at the Humphry is $15. The hotel is 8-10 min walking distance to Shaw park. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
I am not 100% sure as we just had a large room with 2 oversized comfy chairs, table, desk, dresser, microwave abd fridge, flat screen TV and very comfortable bed! We had a separate shower from tub abd very large counter with sink. All very clean! However, I recall that there was an upgrade to a Suite that might include a jacuzzi tub. I suggest that you email or phone this hotel for further information. Good Luck! By the way, their breakfast each morning on the main floor is delicious and free and you can eat at tables there or take your food back to your room! To us, this was much more important than having a jacuzzi tub! As well, there is a computer and printer available for guests, and indoor swimming pool and fitness center! We will definitely stay at the Humphry Inn and Suites in downtown Winnipeg across from the new Canadian Human Rights Museum again! 👍
I suggest you contact the hotel with this question
"pets aren’t allowed, no smoke rooms, paid parking but room prices are reasonable so all in all is under budget "Read full review
