Excellent, large clean rooms with great beds, large TV and fridge and coffee pot. New windows. ABSOLUTELY loved the down duvets. Couldn't believe it! Extremely cozy.
Friendly accommodating staff. Quick and caring to address any issue I mentioned.
Wireless internet was off and on!
Bathroom was the only downfall. Adequate, but needs venting and therefore was stuffy and walls above tub need to be redone. Our shower needed new head as water was too harsh.
Had to remind cleaning staff to not let doors bang shut as they went in and out cleaning.
Needed to have TV fairly loud to hear properly over AC, but no one complained, and I couldn't hear anyone elses TV. Very efficient AC.
AC blows curtains up and lets light in (for those of us who like to sleep in on vacation,) but was easily fixed with a little tucking.
Excellent location with great access.
Didn't use the restaurant.

Nice cozy rooms....quite quiet as well.....clean and very affordable. Lots of channels on the flat screen TV and wifi works well....bit busy at the lounge/bar and has VLT's but we don't hear a peep at all. Beds are a bit soft but nice duvet on top...lots of pillows so won't need to ask for any. Comes with lots of towels, soap and other toiletries. Room has a half sized fridge and coffee maker. Not bad at all for the money you pay. One thing though, like I saw mentioned by others in reading their reviews there is a $200 damage deposit on checking in...you get it back when checking out so not to worry...just makes you scratch your head a little !!!

Very busy area but this hotel had just about everything on site for a night's stay. It looks to me like they attempt to be a "mini resort" with bar, bistro and a VLT lounge. I was put on the ground floor which was great as I had a bunch of stuff to carry in off my motorcycle. My room had all the amenities and was comfortable and surprisingly quite as there seemed to be quite a bit of foot traffic within it's corridors. Carpet was vacuumed OK but, needs replaced.
I was charged an extra $100 damage deposit which I found very off-putting. I'm not a menace and IF I was to "toss" a room, I could do WAY more than $100 damage. This deposit was removed from my credit card within a day so all's well that ends well - maybe it was just a precaution against smoker stink damage?

We were greeted by a young women who couldn't even be bothered to get out of her seat. The parking lot is filled with pot holes and it is not clear where you are supposed to park. We were sent to the rear of the property and couldn't get to our room without walking around to a gloomy side entrance, because the rear door was locked! The hall carpets were old and dirty and tacked with muddy foot prints. The room was clean and the bed was ok, but the bedding &furnishings were poorly maintained and needed replacement and/or repair. There were holes in the walls, missing security locks, the thermostat was mounted side ways, a gaping steel lined hole in the bathroom wall and ancient bath floor vinyl. The toiletries had not been replenished; only hair conditioner available. Only a grubby looking little casino on the property and a dull sports bar adjacent to the hotel. Couldn't get a straight answer from the staff on where to get a decent breakfast, eventually drove a couple of kilometres into town and discovered a MacDonalds; only place "nearby" the hotel. Overall, a less than enjoyable hotel stay!

We stayed at the the Park West Inn recently and enjoyed our stay. The room was great, king size bed, glorious mattress and sheets provided us a wonderful night's rest. The rooms must have been recently renovated as the decor was very modern and clean. We had a few drinks in the pub next door and then breakfast in the restaurant the next day.

It was called Andrews and now it's call Dalcasa. Not sure where Andrew went...however I'm guessing he left for greener pastures. I used to enjoy breakfast here.... But today will be the last time. The waitress had a chip on her shoulder... When we asked for jam (after asking for cutlery and ketchup) she went on a rant about how she had work a double shift and that she was by herself and it was really busy.... (Not my problem).... It wasn't that busy.... Maybe 4 tables on the go.... The food has gone downhill too... The hash browns were last nights left over potatoes .... Pan fried... Yuck.... The service was extremely slow.... Reminds of a unionized shop and "working to rule".... I really am a fan of patronizing local restaurants..... But this cowboy is headed to McDonalds next time.... They fire kids that give you lip there....

Fri Sept 19 2014 had breakfast at Andrew's Bistro. Later, spoke to reception and asked to speak to the manager of the restaurant to lodge a complaint. The manager, Brian McLeod, was not available. Our complaint was that although the restaurant was lovely and the server was friendly, the food was terrible! Meal was cold – server did not follow up after serving - hash brown potatoes had black spots - fruit cup tasted old. Our complaint was logged into the computer. We asked that Brian give us a call. No call has been received and it is now two days later. So much for customer service! We live locally so the word will spread.

The ParkWest Inn is a very pretty little hotel in Charleswood. I love that there is a little restaurant (Dalcasas) as well as The Thirsty Lion Pub. Both restaurants are excellent! The menu selections are great, and you can even buy home-made jam in Dalcasa's!

Check in horrible. this place is not liek the photos. The room has not been updated Soiled carpets, bed sheet that looked like it had s**t on it. Even the chair in room had to be wiped down before sitting on it. Left to get pizza across street and approached by homeless person looking for beer money. Had to put up with noise form bar until 2am until could finally fall asleep. spend the extra money and go to a name brand hotel. Dont stay here. I believe reviews written by staff.

Took a chance on the Park west inn, and for what I paid?! Wow! The rooms look recently redone, the bed was an absolutely dream and the staff were so friendly! Breakfast in their onsite restaurant was delicious and fast. And their onsite pub is so classic! It's literally a little mini resort. If you need a good nights rest, definitely try Park West Inn.
