My wife and I stayed in this hotel on our final night in Winnipeg. The rooms had lots of character as did the guests lounges, breakfast room and conservatory with some really old fashioned furniture. Bedrooms were well accommodated with extras provided. The hotel has lovely private grounds with views of the Assiniboine River at the rear. Although not in...

This is a first class B & B. The owners are not "in your face" ( A plus for us). The food & room were great. The location is in a posh neighborhood. There are few rooms ...library, solarium etc which are very comfortable as well. The mansion is full of old world charm.

We recently spent three lovely days at this delightful Inn. We arrived over three hours late at 12:15am, due to a late train, to be greeted at the door by Bob, our welcoming host. After a very comfortable sleep in our spacious suite we were treated to a gourmet breakfast, cooked by Mavis, our hostess. They both made sure we...

The River Gate inn is plain awesome. We touched down in Winnipeg for one night en route to Flin Flon and opted for the inn because of it's situation in an older, very pretty part of the city. The home itself has been restored magically and lovingly by the current owners and the results are brilliant. The rooms are comfortable,...

We were a little worried that the River Gate Inn would not live up to its reputation but we were not disappointed! It is a lovely house in a beautiful treed street within walking distance of good restaurants. Bob and Mavis are very helpful and gracious hosts. Our room and bathroom were spacious, immaculately clean and met all our needs....

This elegant mansion is like stepping back in time, and it's perfect as a bed and breakfast because it really makes you feel as if you're on vacation. I spent a night there recently and was able to enjoy a walk to Osborne Village for dinner, past the stately oaks on Middle Gate. The room was well decorated and appointed,...

We spent three nights in room 3 about a week ago. The house is absolutely gorgeous and lavishly decorated. The grounds are lovely and well-kept. I wish we had gotten to take advantage of the pool but we were busy with wedding-related events about an hour outside of Winnipeg. What time we did spend at the Inn was very enjoyable....

I was in Winnipeg visiting family and stayed at the River Gate Inn for two evenings. The location is one of the most restful in Winnipeg. The 'Gates' is an amazing area to visit - beautiful homes on massive yards with trees that go high into the sky all surrounded by the river. Just going for a walk is peaceful....

This 96 year-old home, in a conveniently located, residential neighborhood is a lovely alternative to a hotel. Very comfortable, spacious rooms in a home with lots of comfy sitting rooms, and outdoor spaces. It is a home with history and character. The hosts make guests feel like their personal guests. The breakfasts are varied and excellent!
