Detailed Reviews
I stayed for about 3 weeks at the Days Inn in June/July 2020 after only planning on a 4 nite stay. I had just sold my house and was preparing to travel, a difficult thing to plan amid covid, so I was on hold until I eventually went on my way west. Check in was a breeze with Melanie who upgraded me to a suite as my room had not yet been cleaned in line with covid cleaning protocol. The suite worked perfect for me as I could easily pick up prepared foods from Superstore nearby and heat them in my kitchen in the suite as I was tired of take out. The breakfast bag supplied by Days was really good and I never got tired of the variety - yogurt, granola bar, muffin, fruit, juice - a very thoughtfully put together breakfast under covid restrictions where the usual hot breakfast buffet could not be offered. The room and bed was very comfortable and cool during the heat wave. I asked for no room service with covid on and was kindly given whatever I requested to staff when I was ready - clean bedsheets, towels whatever I needed, which I really only required weekly, same as when I am at home. And I really felt at home! The cleaning and front desk staff were all outstanding, over and above, very accommodating and quick to take care of anything I needed, especially appreciated under these trying times with covid. Given my 3 weeks there, I was impressed with the same excellent level of service by each and everyone on staff. Amazing. Can't wait to come back home!

Travelled here with young children for a holiday. It was a good location for us because we visited a few malls, tinkertown, the zoo and park, and frequented restaurants in the North.
Check in was ok. They were very busy and had one person running to do “room checks” before guests were given a room. The room was visibly dusty on many surfaces, some towels were stained (this could have been solved with $2 bleach), and there was a small stain on the sheets. I’m thankful I brought disinfecting wipes with us this time.
Room was on the smaller side. Had a fridge and microwave which is convenient with young children.
Breakfast was included but given in a paper bag and we had to eat in our room. It consisted of a sausage and egg English muffin, sometimes fruit, nutrigrain bar. The kids breakfast included a yogurt, nutrigrain bar, muffin, sometimes fruit. Looks like they had a decent area for breakfast if it was open.
Pool was good for small kids, it is fairly shallow and has a baby area, and a small water slide. We had to book each day in a 45 minute interval starting on the hour. The 15 minutes in between was scheduled for “cleaning” although I did not ever see it cleaned during our stay. Hot tub was closed due to COVID restrictions. Kids had a blast anyway and loved swimming every day. Pool towels are given at the front desk.
We had our rooms cleaned everyday during COVID but did have to ask for toiletries to be replenished. I will however say that the staff were very friendly and courteous. We were served by a gentleman (forgot his name) and Candace almost daily at the front desk.
Overall it is an average hotel. We ended up staying here because another hotel we booked in the area was cancelled and used for evacuees from the forest fires. Many of the hotels in the area seemed to be of comparable quality.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We apologize that your room was not up to our standards and have followed up with housekeeping to ensure that our standards are being met and even exceeded. As for breakfast, we do wish we could open our hot breakfast buffet and lobby areas once again but due to health restrictions, we are unable to at this time. We are pleased that the service you received from the front desk agents was good. We do hope you will give us another try in the near future. Please take care and stay safe.

I have stayed numerous time at this hotel the service is good rooms are comfortable, but there is a limo driver here that I can not figure out. He parks the limo in front of the main entrance door and will stand there and watch customers wheel their luggage across the parking lot rain or snow and make no effort to move the car. He says he will move if asked my point is there must be a better place to park so one does not have to go beg to have a limo moved to load your luggage. I have spoken with hotel staff about but every time I go the limo is still parked in the same place and you have to go through the same ritual. I thing maybe it is time to move to another hotel.

Roaver12, Thank you for this valuable information. We do apologize for the inconvenience of the sedan car, (limo) from a separate company in front of the main doors. We will be following up with the limo company in regard to this matter as it is separate from the hotel. We do hope that you will come and visit us again in the near future. We are very sorry to yourself and any other guests that have may have been affected by this inconvenience. We do pride ourselves in providing the best customer service for our guests and will do our best to make sure this type of inconvenience is not repeated.

This is one of many hotels located near the Winnipeg airport, but we generally find Days Inn good value. This location is no exception: the staff are friendly and helpful, the room is clean and functional, and there is a pool with a slide and a hot tub. Covid restrictions are being observed, but the pool is open and we enjoyed it along with two other families (number of visitors is limited by time slots). The grab-and-go breakfast in the morning included an English muffin with egg and sausage, juice, granola bar, etc. You can walk to a Denny’s and a local chop house for dinner. The front desk staff are engaging as well as professional. Recommended.

Dirty, cold, drafty room, there was a snowbank in the hallway from an emergency exit that didn't close, so there was a constant breeze.
Had to block the door with towels around it.
Paid for a queen room, the room had double beds, and one of the beds didn't have sheets on it.
When I told the front desk, I was told "we are at capacity and our staff is very busy, you and your child can just share the other bed.
The room had not been cleaned since whoever used it last. Had to buy cleaner and do it myself. Ice bin still had water in it, the room was visibly dusty and dirty.
Clods of old dust and hair all around the room. Rolls of toilet paper on the floor as the toilet paper dispenser was broken.
Closet door was broken.
Cabinet doors were broken. Heater was broken and curtains were several inches too short for the windows.
"Breakfast" was a paper bag with a cold stale muffin and a yogurt. When I asked for a 2nd yogurt cup so my child I could each have one I was told "no, there is one breakfast per adult guest."
I attempted to address my concerns with the front desk and they said a manager would contact me. Nobody did.
I contacted them again when I got home, again was told a manager would call me. Nobody did.
A week later I called again and was told by a manager they would look into it and get back to me.
Another week later, I called again, later that day a manager contacted me and apologized, without any further resolution or explanation as to why the room was in such poor condition or why the staff were unable to address any of the issues during my stay.
Avoid this hotel, there are plenty of others in the area with better reviews. Pay the extra few bucks and get a hotel that isn't so run down and filthy

Dear valued guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are totally surprised by your review as this is not how our property is. We always do a courtesy call to our guests shortly after check-in to ensure everything is good with the room and we keep these records, you were called and you stated the room was fine. We also would not tell a guest to share a bed when we could have at least supplied fresh linen. The front desk manager did speak to you and started an investigation into your concerns about the snow pile and open emergency door as well as the bedding. this did take some time to speak to all parties and departments involved. We did note that the night you stayed the winds were gusting and some snow did come in the doorway when people opened it but it was not left open. We check all of our entrances frequently for safety reasons. We also have the rooms checked prior to check-in. Then when you were informed that you could not get a refund due to pre-paying the reservation, you were offered a discounted rate the next time you came to our property. You did seem however interested in staying for free and posted this review instead and added more to your story than the two issues you brought up to the manager. Best wishes to you. Take care and stay safe.

For our stay we didn't know the pool was going to be closed on the site for days Inn it didn't say that it was closed. We were looking FWD to going swimming or the hot tub . Also during our stay out room was never cleaned it was not explained to us that the cleaning was limited we stayed 2 nights. We were not aware that we had to request to have it cleaned. Also a laundry bag was not provided in the room closet.
We were okay about no buffet and okay with the food that was provided.
So for my husband and I we only partly enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your feedback. We do apologize that you were not aware our pool was closed however, it is on our website as well as mentioning the breakfast buffet not available as well due to COVID 19. As for housekeeping, there is limited service every few days to ensure the safety of all. You should have been made aware upon check-in and also informed if you required anything or your room serviced to contact the front desk. We do hope that you will return in the future when things are more "normal" to enjoy the full Days Inn Winnipeg Airport experience. Please take care and stay safe.

Staff was friendly. Computer system was down when we tried to check in so that was disappointing but out of their control as this can happen to any business. We noticed one staff member wasn't wearing a mask behind the desk when we checked in. As for the rooms, they are okay for the price you pay; they are outdated for sure. The tap for the shower wasn't working so we called the front desk and someone came up right away to fix it. We were thankful they fixed it but was frustrsting considering the above things that had happened already.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We apologize that the computer system was down at the time of check-in. As for the staff without the mask, they are permitted to take breaks without them on and some have medical reasons that they are not able to wear it for their entire shift. They do however wear their masks in any common area where the public is. We are in the slow process of updating our rooms and hope you will come and visit us again soon.

Everything was dirty. The floor, the bedsheets, the tub. All the complimentary soap, body washes, and even hand sanitizers were cheap. Had so asked for a second set of bedsheets as these ones were dirty, only to get replaced with another set of dirty and stained bedsheets. You’d think they take the time to look at the new sheets before giving you another set of dirty ones

My husband treated me to an overnight here for my birthday using his points. He booked directly with Wyndham (not locally) and requested a suite with a kitchenette, jacuzzi and fireplace like we had at this same location last year. We were told that it couldn’t be guaranteed. When we arrived we were only able to get a regular room with a king bed. To my surprise, the staff and management left me a birthday card and a beautiful arrangement of 12 multicoloured roses in our room to make up for our disappointment!! Thank you, Days Inn, for going out of your way to make my stay extra-special and memorable!! The room was clean, the bed was very comfy, and the breakfast with sausages, eggs, toast and carrot muffins was great! Thanks again!!
