Had a great stay. Bed was very comfy. Lively set up. Breakfast was delicious. Fantastic view a proximity to downtown. A little bit of noise from traffic, but well worth it. Would recommend and stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. Large king-size bed… Enormous showerhead… TV in room… Delicious breakfast. Free kuerig coffee. It has a rather late check in time of 4:00. Check out time was 10 o’clock.

My husband and I stayed with Jade just one night but it was an enjoyable experience. We stayed in the Garden Suite above the garage and it was quite lovely and very private. In the morning we joined other guests around the dining room table for a fabulous gormet breakfast. The price was right and the location just off the main highway was perfect for our travels. We will stay again when we are in the area.

We arrived with crossed fingers and no reservations. After climbing a few steps onto the enclosed porch, I called the number and was greeted by a woman on the phone as though she was expecting me - very welcoming. The Inn overlooks the river with pretty public parks and walkways for an evening stroll if you'd like. This pretty young woman arrived and chatted like an old friend for a few minutes before taking us up to a second-story room. It was beautiful, clean, crisp, fresh and thoughtfully appointed. Little touches like a night light in the bathroom, an honour-system snack bar in the room (just put the coins in the birdhouse next to the basket of snacks)(who'd put potato chips with in my reach! Cruel!!! LOL), a flashlight in the bedside table drawer, a supply of women's 'accessories' in the bathroom. A bathtub that allowed me a comfortable soak that night and a very comfortable bed. It was the nicest B&B I've been to. Then it got better. Breakfast in the morning was a delight - we visited with another couple who'd been on the road a while, while we enjoyed our deluxe breakfast platters. A bowl of vanilla yogurt with a sprinkling of blueberries and granola. Two perfectly cooked eggs with bacon AND a stack of perfectly made pancakes. Real maple syrup on the table. Juice, coffee refills ... Jade is a real pro and her professional and friendly manner make The Colonel a delight to stay in. The decor is fresh and bright with lots of big windows and comfy seating, interesting artwork and antiques downstairs while upstairs is a tribute to regal military. Wide-plank pine floors that are beautifully restored throughout the house. Twelve inch baseboards. Very well done. Yes, we would not hesitate to come back again and truly hope we get the chance.

Had a lovely overnight stay at this B and B. The host was sweet and the property very clean. The queen room was a good size with large bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, eggs and bacon on croissant plus fruit. Location within walking distance across the bridge to downtown Fredericton! I would return here for sure!

I was pleasantly surprised with this lovely Bed and Breakfast. It is within walking distance (over a pedestrian bridge) from downtown Fredericton and practically across the street from the new Picaroons Roundhouse. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was ample and tasty. Jade was a wonderful hostess - she provided info about restaurants and things to do but gave us space to be ourselves. I highly recommend this location if you are ok with walking and want to spend much less than the big hotels across the river

A lovely, period house with room overlooking the river. Quiet & peaceful location. Beautifully furnished room. Walked across nearby footbridge into Fredericton for our evening meal. Breakfast was an absolute delight. All 7 guests sat at one table & were served a good-choice breakfast. we would highly recommend this place.

We stayed here 1 night. We had a comfy suite on the top floor. Beautiful heritage type house. Lovely view of the river & park across the street. We enjoyed walking across the wooden footbridge to down town for dinner (about 25 mins each way). Wonderful breakfast & interesting guests to chat with.

We booked through booking.com and ended up in the room above the detached garage. It was a delight. It faced onto the river and park across the (busy street). It was very spacious, clean and comfortable.. The bathroom had a shower and whirlpool and all the usual accoutrements. It could use a few hooks on which to hang the towels (there is room for them). The bed was very comfortable and large. Notwithstanding the busy street outside, with the doors to the balcony shut we heard very little street noise and it was quiet after 9pm. There was a small fridge, a fireplace of sorts, a writing desk, 2 armchairs and plant of cupboard space and a few drawers as well. Even sufficient hangers. The owner, Jade, greeted us on our arrival and was very friendly. The morning breakfast, with guests sitting for the most part at the same table, had as much as most folks could possibly want to eat (yogurt with some fruit, pastries, beverage, eggs, sausage, bacon and toast and homemade jam, and everything was tasty and properly prepared.. We found the time suggested to eat was "8.30ish" which didn't offer a lot of range. I didn't see any of the rooms that are part of the house but there are no doubt other reviews covering them. The sitting area for guests is a bit smallish, but I never saw anyone actually using it but once. Incidentally, the location on the N side of the river in my view is an advantage as it gives you, if you are a walker or biker, the opportunity to walk or ride across the pedestrian bridge to the centre of town where the tourist attractions are, about a half hour walk. So if you are looking for clean, comfortable and spacious quarters for y our visit in Fredericton, the room above the garage is I'll bet as good a space as you may find for the price ($155 a night including the breakfast).
