I spent a week in October 2019 at this hotel. The hotel could be considered as acceptable. The staff was very nice and friendly. The most important thing was its location that is near Walmart, Sobeys, Best Buy, and many stores that you may need.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is old and currently undergoing renovations so some rooms have the old carpet(mine did, I had the apartment suite for 6days) while the carpet had a little odour it was so clean! The entire apartment suite was very clean( and I am picky) and I am sure once the renovation is done I would be giving 5 stars! The beds were so comfy and the bedding and pillows were quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was easy access to shopping, travel etc. The pool had wonderful hours and it is salt water so great on your skin! Front desk employee, Shafiq, was so polite and obliging with my requests. I dealt with Sean for my reservation queries and he was also polite and helpful.

The rooms were comfortable & clean. Bathroom was dated but the level of cleanliness made up for it. The mall was close at hand, making it accessible for any purchase necessary during our stay. The food was always amazing at the Brass Rail & the Lounge. We had a 7 day stay during a sudden death in our family. This prolonged stay gave ample opportunity to get to know the staff from the front desk to the kitchen staff & cleaners. All were most welcoming & accommodating. Pam & Scott from the Oak Lounge stand out as the most helpful & considerate staff members during our stay. Made all of us feel very much at home & cared for. That kind of service is hard to find & we commend them on their exemplary style of meeting the needs of their clients!!

Honestly I was very disappointed, I've stayed at a lot of hotels because I travel for work and this was certainly in my bottom 5 especially for what I paid ($150 a night. The rooms are severely outdated, I'm talking dented furniture, archaic chairs, paint chips, cracks etc. The bathroom has blue stains at the bottom of the tub, hair was literally plastered all over the bathroom door, the toilet looks like it was installed in the 80s. The carpet had that smokey smell when you enter and was filled with stains which was noticeable. The only solace was that the bed was clean and comfortable however I would stay far away from this place -- go with a brand name even if it's more money.

My husband and I spent one night here. We booked one of the larger rooms that opens onto the courtyard.
The minute we walked into the room we were overcome with high humidity and a strong musty smell. It felt like a basement in desperate need of a dehumidifier. There was also significant black mold on the wall behind the toilet. Since the hotel was fully booked we knew there was no benefit to trying to move to a different room. We just hoped we’d be able to sleep.
Unfortunately the hotel seemed to be full of families and kids that were attending a sports tournament. Kids were running wild all over the place, especially in the inner courtyard. If you’re looking for a quiet room, I suggest you stay away from rooms facing the inner courtyard.
We ended up not sleeping well at all due to the intense humidity and mustiness in the room. It was so intense we didn’t feel well. We advised the front desk of the condition of our room. Their response was that all the bottom floor rooms are like that. So apparently it’s ok to run a hotel with rooms with no ventilation with toxic black mold and unhealthy levels of humidity.
I STRONGLY advise not booking this hotel. There are many many better options in Fredericton.

+1
I’m shocked that this hotel has 4 stars on this app. My stay was terrible. The front desk staff were nice but that is where any positive things I could say, ends. The front desk men were dressed in nice suits and I was hopeful that was an indicator of a well kept hotel… as it does look decent from the exterior. My hopes were quickly squashed as I walked down the hallway to find room 268. I could tell the carpets were old and worn, the walls were dirty and blemished. Upon entering my room I was greeted with a moldy/damp smell. The carpet in my room was old and very stained. The bathroom floor tiles were dirty and the ceiling had black mold. My 10 year old daughter really wanted to go swimming and against my better judgement I accompanied her to the pool area. It was down a flight of stairs (I never did see any elevator). The pool area was very dirty. The tiles were covered with grime and loose hair. The area next to the hot tub was unfinished, I’m actually not even sure what was going on there. The area was so dirty and unattractive that my 10 year old decided on her own accord that she was not getting in the dirty pool (thankfully)! My daughter woke up in the middle of the night coughing and full of snot— I firmly believe it was from the dust, dander, and mold in the room. I can tell that years ago, this hotel was probably quite grand. Sadly, it has not been kept up and is quite run down now.

1st fail-We checked into our room and the couple before us had asked to be near our family and another family. We were in a tournament with several teams, we have children on different teams and it would make it easier for driving kids to games, we were advised we were all in the same area. We arrived at our room which was on the opposite side of the building amongst another team. They said they were all booked and no other rooms available.
2nd fail- our room was very outdated and in the middle of the night the light in the bathroom burnt out. not much we would be able to do as they "had no other rooms available", and i didn't need maintenance coming in and waking our kids.
3rd fail- while sitting in the courtyard a homeless man came in and was asking for a drive to Montreal and telling us about his drug issues. (Our children were in the courtyard as well)
Over all a very frustrating experience, second time staying in this facility and it will be the last time. I will now be booking our team at another location for our tournaments.

Dear Jill; Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us regarding your most recent stay at our property. Our deepest apologies that your room was not in the same area as the other team, that your children were woken up by a member of our maintenance team and your encounter with the individual in our courtyard area. We are currently reviewing how the unwelcome visitor entered our courtyard and will continue to do our best to keep our hotel secure for all of our guests. We hope that you will try our property again in the future.

Upon checking-in, I advised front desk that we would not have our dogs with us. She asked if I wanted to be switched rooms. I said it wasn't necessary, just ensure we are not charged for the pet fee. The room was a total disappointment!! I appears that they keep "special rooms" for guests travelling with dogs. The room itself was acceptable, but the bathroom was a rat hole! Dirty corking around bathtub, stained tiles on the floor, paint peeling off the walls, rust/dirt stains on the ceiling...Horrible! Reserve somewhere else, you and your pets deserve MUCH better!

The staff was friendly and the room was nice. The only problem was when I booked they never told me beforehand I needed a credit card for a deposit. I don't have a credit card but luckyfully they allowed me to use my bank card. They should do a better job at telling people this.

The person at the front desk was very unfriendly. My daughter and I felt like we were being treated like we didn't deserve to stay there. The man at the desk seemed irritated we interrupted a conversation between him and someone standing to the side of the desk. He did not smile, did not say much at all, gave no explanation about the hotel (the opening times of the pool or restaurant and when check out was) and did not tell us how much the room cost; the front entrance was blocked off - slightly inconvenient and not attractive (I thought the hotel was closed at first) - no apology for that. Otherwise, the stay was good. Breakfast was good and the waitress was lovely.

This hotel is dated and does show signs of age. However, I always requested a room in "The Tower" which is simply the 4-storey part of the hotel as opposed to the "motel"-like strip section. I never had any issues with cleanliness but did see bits of deferred maintenance - nothing significant. I seem to recall a small refrigerator in the room, though I never used one so cannot say for certain. Staff is friendly, food is very good, and it was close to the office building I needed to go to and that is why I chose to stay there.
I think there's a guest laundry, but it's not something we use when we travel, so you may want to check with the hotel directly. If they do not, I'm sure there is a laundromat not far in the city.
don't know-but our room was plenty large for two...
You can request a fridge. Not sure if they have a microwave. The fridge was provided with the room with no extra charges when requested.
