The Norfolk is just outside the city of Fredericton. It's catch phrase is "Spend a Night, Not a Fortune". The is applicable...rooms go for as low as $39. Although there is nothing fancy about the Norfolk, it is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. Cable TV and Air Conditioning are included in the low rates. Great place to stay on an economy trip! If you are looking for a place to stay and not all the frills, this is the place for you.

Let's put it this way!.
I won't stay again unless I am sleeping outside when it's 40*C below.

Just old and all. Beds are not comfortable, feels more like a trailer park than anything
else. Best thing about the place is that you can park your car pretty much right in front of your room

But, okay Motel owner/manager though!

I booked a reservation at this hotel based on the recommendation of friends who had stayed there in the past, probably under the old management. It was an interesting stay, my experience similar to many other reviewers. The room was dated but clean. The web site said the hotel had renovated rooms (not mine), wifi, mini fridge, AC, ceiling fan, ironing board, coffee maker, iron, cable and microwave. My room was missing the coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and microwave. It was definitely not renovated. The bed was comfortable, the lighting terrible, the closet had almost no hangers,and the room AC very noisy. As with a previous reviewer, my room had maid service one day only and not any of the other days, not even clean towels! No complimentary breakfast as advertised, but the Irving gas station up the street had excellent coffee.;

I left my car window cracked open one night and it rained. I used my room towels to dry the seat. When I came back to the room at 5 PM, no maid service, no new towels. I brought my wet towels to the office to get clean dry ones. I was told by the front desk that they were having maid issues and towels were not available. I had to wait almost two hours for clean towels and then I was given one bath towel, one bath mat and one wash cloth. I notices several of the other rooms were missing window screens.My room had one window screen missing.

My room faced the road and since 105 is well traveled, there was a lot of road noise. I would guess the rooms in the back would be more quiet.

Would I stay here again, maybe one night, but honestly, no maid service for three days despite asking for it? There are other hotels in the area that cost the same or a slightly bit more, offer clean towels and maid service.

When I book a hotel room I don't ask for much, whether it's a 2, 3 or 4 star, all I want is for it to be clean to take a shower and sleep, but now it's not. When we arrived, the man at the reception who was wearing a stained vest, asked me to wait 2 minutes, during which time he went to pass the broom in our room (seen by my husband, who was waiting in the car), then he came back to give me the key. When entering the room, there was a smell of closed, the bathroom was far from clean, as long as the blue color of the bath and toilet, I do not mind but it should have taken the time to clean. On the other hand he seemed alone to take care of the cleaning and reception. There was food left in the fridge, probably forgotten by other travelers. The beds very soft and not comfortable, and the cleanliness of the sheets I pass. I wouldn't even give this hotel a star. A big lack of maintenance. Then impossible to change hotel at the last minute, there is nothing available.

Had to get a room in a pinch as car had broken down, was charged $90, the room was dingy and out dated, sticky residue on furniture, white crusty substance on blanket, old stained mattress, no coffee, wifi didn't work, no microwave, nothing within walking distance to get coffee or warm food, no towels, and could hear every little noise from surrounding rooms. Manager refused to refund our money so we could go somewhere else, even though free wifi and coffee maker were advertised but not actually available. I have been traveling and staying in hotels for 6 months and this was the worst, rudest, dirtiest most inadequate room for the price I have ever encountered. Avoid this place.

It is an older place for sure and the ac didn't really work. It also took us forever to check in. They also have to keep the phone in your room unplugged or apparently you get prank calls all night. After saying all of that though it was very inexpensive and we had no problems sleeping there for the night. Its also dog friendly. I'd go back again if on a tight budget, but I preferred the Ramada.

I was staying at the Ramada for a week and had decided to stay a few extra days, but the Ramada was booked up. I called the Norfolk and made plans to stay there. I should have just gone home!! The staff at the front desk acted like I owed them something for even staying at there hotel. I would not get back to my room until late every night and of course the HOT water was turned off!!! And to whom ever it was that posted about the bed being on a slant, I must have had your room! My advice stay at the Ramada just down the road, it was only $10 more.
